- At the 2002 PGA Championship, Tiger Woods hit this incredible 3-iron from a fairway bunker on the 18th hole to close out his second round with a birdie.
Longest 8 feet I’ve ever seen
It’s at least 15ft haha
“Went on to go on and sink his 8 footer” hahaha
Probably meant to say 18 footer 😂
Init bruh 😂😂
😂
He called it the best shot he’s ever hit 😊
you watch the "short" then look this up... because i did haha
@@chrishayes653yes sir haha
@@chrishayes653same here
Yea the short made me mad for not showing the clip lol
I had to see it after he said it lol
Getting a 3 iron to climb over those trees while his feet are against the edge of the bunker not allowing him to make a full turn might be one of the most underrated shots of his career.
He hit a draw! While standing OVER the ball. In a bunker. Jesus!
To get a 3 iron to climb like that with a good lie would be good
He said it was his best shot he ever hit.
@@ericryu3712yeap im here for that haha
What was the distance 220 yards or 200 or 180 or ... ?
Hand up if you’re here from the Taylormade post
Tiger said this is the "best feeling" golf shot in his career so far.
Just say that vid that’s why I’m here 😂
@@johnfowler7289same. Here after Taylormade video
Long irons do feel better in the middle of the face than any other club.
8 ft birdie putt...
Yaaaaaaaaaa idk what "foot" they are talking about
And a foot is 24 inches.
randalw05 I know lol. 18 would have made a lot more sense
I think he meant to say 18
yeah...I'm like... "try like 15" ...
So much loft with a 3i with those trees in the front. This guy will win the 2019 Masters. Mark my words!
Wow this aged well
The best shot in the history of golf. Nothing even close second
Lol that's a bit of a stretch. I love Tiger but saying nothing comes close is ignorant. I HATE Bubba but his giant hook at the Masters was insane too. Especially when you actually go to Augusta and stand where he hit the shot from. To imagine someone hooking a GAP wedge that far is ridiculous. You can't even see the green because the trees have you blocked off. Then to hit that green and make it stay is also insane. Number 10 green slopes so dramatically from the back to front.
@@LTR1420 Sorry, but with all due respect, this shot was more difficult. Pro golfers have no problem hitting hooks and slices and Bubba is known to be able to hit some of the biggest hooks and slices on Tour. Heck, he does it when he doesn’t even have to sometimes. Tiger, himself hit that like 40 yard slice just last year out of the bunker at the WGC event in Mexico to about 10 feet. Missed the putt, but whatever. This shot was crazy difficult. Had to stand closer than normal to the ball, downhill lie and hit a high hook with a 3 iron over the trees into a 20 mph left to right crosswind. I’ve played Hazeltine a few times and have gone over to that spot and those trees are pretty close to the bunker and they’re pretty tall. I can’t imagine anybody pulling that shot off.
Nobody alive saw it, but Gene Sarazen’s double eagle on 15 may be right there.
Tiger said in an interview recently this was the "Best feeling golf shot I've ever hit, then drained the 20 FOOT Birdie putt and Ernie flipped me off" 🤣🤣🤣👍👍 what a fucking shot. Give me 100 balls I'll shank it right everytime
To see this shot. To own this shot, then to even attempt this shot, much less pull this shot off in competition is other worldly in reality! Tiger the Goat!
I could hit that shot
@@olestilleagles1242 - As a scratch golfer I could possibly pull that shot off maybe 1 out of 1,000 times! Yet, most likely never because I cannot think of an occasion where I would ever even attempt the shot. Your claim is silly at best!
The best to ever play the game: Tiger Woods.
Tiger has consistently said this is his best ever shot
This is the best shot I've seen. It's hard enough to hit a 3 iron out of fairway. Most players would have laid up with a wedge.
It's not just about winning....how you win. Spectacular stuff, we got spoiled didn't we? Nobody does stuff like that today, and that includes Koepka who actually has the power to try to pull it off. The closest I've seen recently is Woodland at the US Open...going for the par 5 in two coming in...and THAT took guts.
Reason why Im one of few people who isnt a huge fan of Rory..
I still think the 2019 Mexico Championship 9th hole bunker shot is his best ever. That crazy finish and wrist manipulation to get that much side spin is unbelievable.
I agree. When I saw that shot for the first time I was in awe of what I seen
Not close if you only grew up watching tiger instead of 2019 tiger that doesn't make his top 10
@@olestilleagles1242I grew up watching him, and the shot they are referencing was ridiculous. He got a ball to slice 40+ yard in the air with a 9 iron, hits the green and spins right toward the hole to 3 feet. It's top 10 full swing shot for sure. If you are counting putts and green side chips maybe not
but he missed the putt after :/
Yeah I’m just referring to the shot itself, not how he finished the hole.
Tiger even said, that shot is one of his all time favorites. Said that he never felt contact like that in his life. He's amazing..🤙
“8 foot birdie putt”. how bout u double that
How do you drain THAT putt after THAT shot in a professional tournament. For me it’s MJ and then Tiger. The two goats of sports
It’s the best shot I have ever seen. I remember watching it live on TNT when I was a kid
Best golf shot of his career.
Hands down the best shot he's ever hit. Unbelievable.
just watched the PGAs top 10 Tiger shots looking for this video because I remember him saying this was his best, and was surprised to see it omitted
After watching this and then going to watch the shot he’s talking about, I just got a reminder that this is the Greatest golfer ever!
It's not only his greatest shot, it's golf's greatest shot. Hands down.
The greatest and hardest golf shot bar none anyone’s ever hit!
That is easily the best shot I have ever seen. Couldn't rotate the lower body, three iron, had to clear trees, and made birdie.
and it was snowing
Uphill both ways
In gridlock traffic
Out of a bunker with the ball below his feet and he drew it
This is the best shot I’ve ever seen. He has to contort his body to even stand in the bunker then has to draw a 3 iron over trees with ball below his feet.
this is a super long par 4... Driver and long iron just to get to the green. Tiger hits a long iron ouf bunker (ball beneath his feet??) - to hit the green. Crazy
He said this was the greatest shot he ever made.
Watching this after tiger called it the best shot of his life.
210 yards out for those who are wondering. I heard a pro golfer mention the distance in a video of describing the memorable shot.
Tiger says it was a 20footer.....ok whom am I gonna believe???
your eyes
@@fujative2263
Commentator says "and goes on and drains the 8' put"
My eyes say.......closer to 20'
@@hfactor6429 you are evolving now. I hope you like winning from this point on in your life

I'm not a blonde but what youre trying to get at is gone over my head
Whos here from tiger woods interview on his best shots
Right at 10 feet. What a shot!
20 feet but yea
@@jakesnussbuster3565 Not 20. Look it up and you can tell. 10-12
@@devonchild2333 that is a way longer putt than 10 feet lol
Who else is here because tiger said it was his best shot he’s ever hit?
Who came here from the short?
Had to search this after a short clip tiger admitting this was his best felt shot of his life.
Put looked to be about 20 ft.
Said it was his best shot ever
18 ft maybe
Strangest thing was he finished the tournament with 4 birdies lost to Beem and never worked with Butch again. 2003-2004 changed his swing went winless. Saying that 2009 Australian Masters his last win before the scandal his swing looked beautiful. 2006 WGC win at the Hertfordshire even Tiger said that’s the best he’s ever played.
Tiger has stated, “If you make a great shot to the green, you have to make the putt!”
A couple years ago he said this was his best shot ever .
Witnessed this in person, unreal.
Who came from the Taylormade short?
In a recent interview, he called this the best shot he’s ever hit!!!!!
We all here from that other video. Small world.
Did you see how he angled the club face for being a 3iron 😮..smart hard shot
Tiger called it his best shot so I have to assume it was as close to perfect contact as humanly possible
Thats a hell of an 8' putt
Who’s foot did they use to measure that putt?!
Tiger says
The 3 iron is his greatest shhot ever
Only time a 3 iron was ever used out of that bunker 😅
The. Best.
How is this possible?
That’s the longest 8 feet ever
Anyone know how many yards this was?
looked more like 18 feet. What was the announcer smoking ?
8 Ft?
8 foot ? Looked like a 20 footer ?
While 99.9% of us would just chunk it back into the fairway, Tiger said nah... watch this
I don’t understand, why did he open the face on the 3 iron so much. Might as well just hit a higher lofted club right?
8 ft birdie putt... So Tiger is 3 feet tall?
Look at the flags above the stands on the right.
This shot is why you can’t throw around the term G.O.A.T. It doesn’t apply to mere mortals
8 foot birdie putt? That looked closer to 15
That was a lot longer than 8 feet!
lol that was more than 8 feet for birdie he drained what was the announcer watching
They easily could’ve added this in the short
I wouldn't go so far as to say the 'best shot in the history of golf', but I'd love to see a better shot than this, especially given the level of difficulty.
Tiger had an off-balance stance at the edge of the bunker, ball below his feet, a left to right wind with a slice lie and a hook pin, with a shot that required him to to hook a high 3 iron over trees from 210+ yards out. He clipped the ball out of the bunker. Incredible! How is there a more difficult shot?
That 8 foot nowadays is a good 40 footer 😂
Trottie sent me
Who is here because tiger said this is the greatest shot he has ever hit
As a bloke who plays off +4 and has played a lot of the mini tour/satellite tours I have to say, this shot is just impossible to comprehend
Just an absurd shot. I think most guys would just be pitching out sideways from there.
That was like a 18 foot putt
Anyone saw the shirt and searched this up 😂
Imagine being his playing partner. You hit a drive in the centre of the fairway, a wedge to within 18 ft of the hole and two putt (just an example. Not sure what his p.p. actually did) ...... and you're down a stroke to Tiger who put his first shot into a bunker with a terrible lie where he's blocked out by trees. That's golf.
Ernie Els playing partner and flipped him off when he made the putt
That was like a 25 footer lmao
He calls it the greatest shot he’s ever hit. Seems a fair shout.
If that’s what the announcer thinks 8ft is I don’t even wanna know how he measures other things
8 metre*
if that's. an "8 foot birdie putt", then my ding a ling is over 2 feet long.
This dude don't know the difference between feet and yards it seems.
His shot at the 16th at Augusta is a bit overated this was definitely his best shot
no way that putt is only 8 feet....
What really scares me is how routine looks like.
I think they meant 18 foot putt…
Probably closer to 18 feet
Commentator 8 foot putt, my foot! Looks more like 18 feet!!
Closer to 18 feet than 8!
who else is here from the Tik Tok?
Indeed
One hell of an 8 footer 😂
calling that putt 8ft is disrespect
Looked alot like a 9 iron too
8ft? more like 15ft
8 foot? Maybe 18…
If that’s an 8 foot putt, then me as a 5’5” white man, am also shaquille O’Neal
If that’s 8 foot, I’m the worst 2 foot putter in history
if thats an 8 foot putt ive never hit an 8 foot putt
