Absolutely love this reaction! Today is two years since that amazing evening in Turin! We have a Eurovision party here at home every year as the contest is often on or around the time of my birthday (12 May), so it doubles up as both. My mum pays for all the food, and some drinks as people often bring their own, and I put all the decorations up - union flags, balloons, etc. In fact, ours are still up from Saturday as I can't be arsed taking them down yet! :') But my family, some of our neighbours and other family friends just get drunk and take the piss out of the contest every year even though we love it! Chloe, your reactions that evening sum up how we were all feeling - ecstatic, confused, baffled, the works. You should have been a fly on the wall here when these results were coming in. We were going insane, particularly after France and Germany's juries each gave us their 12s. It makes me wish I, or someone at the party, had recorded our reactions because they were priceless. I wouldn't have been surprised if most of Swansea heard us. I also couldn't stop laughing because I couldn't believe what was happening. We were so proud of Sam Ryder and still are. 466 points and 2nd place is incredible!
Graham: Relaxed during the whole voting. Chloe's reaction is basically everybody in the UK that night. This is your proud moment for the UK. I hope it turns back the clock to the 60s and 90s!
It is a joy to see your reaction. After years of failure for the UK, The Brits deserved a moment like this. I cried for UK and so well for Spain after failing for so many years. So glad to see UK and Spain in top 5 again 🥰
I was crying on Friday just thinking about the possibility of us winning and I’m surprised I didn’t cry during the voting but I kept jumping with joy for every point then getting salty when the few countries gave us 0. So proud of Sam for winning juries and coming 2nd over all. Hope this is the start of our come back.
I was in the arena and your reaction to that first 12 from Ukraine was mine as well - I turned right around and shook the hand of the Ukrainian guy sitting behind me. Shame the UK's jury didn't reciprocate (although at least the UK's televote did). An incredible top three this year. Congrats on an incredible result from NYC!
My biggest shocker is Australia receiving 2 points 😢 i felt absolutely gutted for Sheldon. Although I don't think he was too worried about where he placed. He was happy to have made it to the grand final. The support and standing ovation in the arena was beautiful. ❤❤❤
I don't know how I found this video but it was so cute reaction! UK 🇬🇧 definitely has to win ESC in couple next years. Peace to all of Europe 🇪🇺 and greetings from Ukraine 🇺🇦!
Amazing result! UK was my personal winner although I knew Ukraine would win (odds had them as the biggest favorite in ESC history). Hopefully this is the beginning of UK sending awesome songs every year. Great reaction as always beautiful Chole!
I was germany, Berlin for eurovision this year.... As a Brit I was so proud of Sam representing scotland Wales NI and England....... The Germans weren't too happy with my screaming the house down with all the 12 points we got..... P. S Germany deserved better.....
What an amazing show! I am very happy with most of the results. What a massive televoting success for Moldova 🇲🇩 and Serbia 🇷🇸! And what an incredible result for UK 🇬🇧 and Spain 🇪🇸! Very happy about Sweden 🇸🇪 in the Top 5 and Portugal 🇵🇹 in the Top 10. The main recipe for success in Eurovision nowadays is authenticity, originality and singing in your native language - that's exactly how it should be! It was amazing to follow this Eurovision journey with you, looking forward to the new journey towards 2023 now! ❤
I never thought I'd ever experience this in my lifetime. I'm so immensely proud of Sam, he's absolutely amazing ❤ Congratulations Ukraine! You do deserve this victory, regardless of what anyone says 💙💛
Yup, looked it up. 4xx is a new televote record. Salvador Sobral held it with 376.....Kind of expected Ukraine to win the televote but not by this margin. Good song.....but not record breaking good. Glad that the UK won the jury vote and their first Marcel Bezencon Press award. Big 5 again either a hit or a complete miss. Enjoy your holiday?? Don't forget to support Feyenoord in the European Conference League final!
@@ChloeMStrachan Yeah, about that.....I used to watch ES finals with my dad. But he recently (April first no joke) passed away after a COVID-infection. Together with some sporting achievements and me graduating from uni, "Arcade" winning in Tel Aviv was a great bonding moment for us, so this evening was a bit emotionally charged for me. Seeing that my mum, friends and GF are not particular Eurovision fans I needed a substitute to watch it with and as strange as it may sound if I disregard gender and a generational gap or two you are the closest substitute personality wise that I could find. Direct, honest and someone who wears their heart on their sleeve....and when the occasion allows it slightly inebriated. As you had a (recent?) personal connection with the lyrics by Cornelia, I had that as you can imagine with the lyrics by S10 and Marius. So thank you for unknowingly filling an emotional gap for me. I got to reexperience some of the many fine moments this way and at the same time found a way to come to terms with the fact that I have to move on. Give your mum an extra hug from me (as you never know when she won't be around to share your passion and personal growth with anymore) and keep on creating the best version of yourself that you can be without stressing yourself out or pushing yourself too hard.....and if you don't mind being the Eurovision-go-to-replacement for my dad for the years to come till we meet again! P.S. Without getting too political I'd like your thoughts on where to organize the next event as I don't think the Ukrainian claim to hold it in Mariupol is even close to realistic. Poland?....around the Ukrainian embassy in the UK? From a "safe" area in the western part of the Ukraine? From a collection of oil tankers in international waters...go wild..!?
Chloe I’m so happy for you and for the UK honestly Sam Ryder had one of the best performances along with spain! So happy for both countries love from Cyprus!!
I've watched a lot of reactions to the final now, because it was such an enjoyable night, but I must say yours is by far the best, most wonderful and most enjoyable reaction I've seen. Well done Chloe, loved it. By the way, can I also just add you're a beautiful young lady.
Your reaction is every Brits reaction, which is basically the culmination of years of failure at Eurovision and the ridicule we've had to face from the toxic fandom year after year. Its like a pressure cooker. Honestly the elation we felt in our household that we were once again competition made us so unbelievably happy. Even my young nephews and nieces were screaming with shock and happiness. What a wonderful experience it was, even if it is just for this Eurovision. I think the Brits deserved a break, finally! Thank you Sam! ❤
Gurl pleaseeeee what are you even talking about ... 2017 nobody said it was bad and the result was ok. The rest were simply mediocre entries. Of course certain countries always get the odd 15-30 points even if their entry isnt good because of politics and diaspora but dont put this on the fandom lol. The uk hasnt "suffered" and if anything made a fool of itself internationally with the political leaders it elected and some of their antics.
And btw thats just how it always goes in Eurovsion, you get either under or overrated for the most part because of the voting system. So this year you came out on the upper end. Congrats
@@achnix3167 What are you even talking about?! stop twisting what I said and actually READ what I wrote. My comment isn't about points or whether or not our entries are good/bad....my comment is aimed at the fact that the fandom have made a habit of trolling & antagonising British ESC fans on the internet year after year. And don't tell me that doesn't happen because its a perpetual thing that you can witness in any comment section. If you're wanting to point out that the British songs have sucked, I agree, they have. Right up until this year, and thats really dire and added to the misery of British fans, but nowhere did I say they didn't suck in my original post. Youre just going off on a tangent and couldnt wait to use your embarrassing high school gay slang just to troll like it's become expected! You played right in to the example. Thank you.

"The Netherlands are neighbors... they will get the 12". Unfortunately, the French jury (Belgium) never gives us any points, especially not for a song in Dutch. Next year it's up to Flanders (Dutch part of Belgium) again. Loved your reaction tho when you realised it was the UK hahaha
I'm so happy we got 2nd place, I started crying too when I found out. I hope we can keep up with the good results and left hand sides (hopefully a win within this decade). Hoping we can host for Ukraine next year :) Amazing to see how we went from 0 to 466 points/26th to 2nd place in a year
Oh, and I also said something under my breath that I will not repeat when Spain didn't give Portugal any points (I had two flags for the final - Portugal and the UK). That was some bullshit.
@@nateesc7413 Joe and Jake did really well, I hated how they got treated. Not vocal gymnastics and they looked quite young but they should have been towards the other end of the scoreboard.
Why say just England? The BBC represents everyone there. Anyway Sam Ryder was more popular probably because he looked cool and the vocal gymnastics. Unfortunately I don't love the song.
All 12 points reactions
7:17 (from Ukraine)
10:13 (from Azerbaijan)
12:01 (from Germany)
