    I'm quite sure there is torque specs for the lug nuts for the hub and the spacers I would definitely do that.

    How are the spacers holding up ?

    The front was just fine, it's only the back that needed fixing. Now the front overshadows the aggressive look the back could have had.

    Your a brave man to put wheel spacers on uber-turbines which have almost stretched tyres and already have a lot of poke (far more so than any other tesla or other OEM wheel for that matter)

    without the 10mm screw the steering wheel will vibrate😂 is there another solution?

    I know this is a relatively older post, but will Tesla void your warranty as a result of adding the spacers?

      Probably depends what warranty, if your suspension gets f'd up, yeah, Tesla will probably reject your claim.

    for sure should be torquing those bolts to spec, believe BLOX calls for 100ft/lbs whereas the actual lug nuts are 120ft/lbs-ish.

    What size is the spacer for the rare wheels please? 15mm or 20mm?

  • @vulshar21
    @vulshar21 Рік тому

    hey, i read a lot of comments stating that 15" spacers on the front requires the lug bolts to be shaved. It looks like you didn't have to do that. Can you confirm that the lug bolts going into the indents on the back of the wheel arent touching?

    • @AndysAutoCarePlus
      @AndysAutoCarePlus  Рік тому

      I believe they actually were touching after this video. I actually ended up taking the front ones off because I had a slight wobble.

      @@AndysAutoCarePlus ya i had that issue too with 18mm spacers. Not the lug bolts for me but the rotor screw had to be removed. I had a wobble and my brakes became spongy somehow until I removed that screw. Thanks for the video though!

    Great video! I have 25mm (1'') lower Eibach springs and H&R spacers 17mm front and 17mm rear on my M3P 2023. with OEM Pirelli tires 235/35/20.
    Do you think if there will be a tire rubbing if I mont wider tires - 245/35/20?
    I would really appreciate the advice!

    • @AndysAutoCarePlus
      @AndysAutoCarePlus  Рік тому

      To be honest, I’m not exactly sure I’ve heard of people going quite a bit wider tires without rubbing issues though there’s a lot of space in there. Thanks for watching. I appreciate it.

      I just put on 255/35/20 AS4s on mine and somehow it rubs on stock suspension... (fronts rub, rear is good - lots of clearance)
      Adding 20mm spacers fixed it

  • @Rich_33

    Need to know what came with the spacer kit and why you didn’t replace the screw you took out of the hub and do you have to replace that screw before putting the spaces on.

    Thank you for sharing. I am planning to place similar wheel spacers on my 2018 Ford Fusion SE. I noticed that your wheel studs stuck out from the holes on the spacer. I have viewed several videos that say that it is bad for your wheel studs to stick out for the wheel spacer, because it keeps the wheel from sitting flat on the wheel spacer. Was that an issue you experienced? How did you get your wheel to sit flat against the wheel space even tough your wheel studs were sticking out from the wheel spacer?

    • @AndysAutoCarePlus
      @AndysAutoCarePlus  3 роки тому +1

      These wheels had room so wasn’t a issue. I think I showed that in the video but I will have to go bad and look.

  • @downshift00
    @downshift00 2 роки тому +1

    I thought the 15mm spacers won't fit on the performance ones since the wheel studs hit the back of the stock 20" wheels? Maybe that's why you had some vibrations since the wheel wasn't fully flat?

    • @rm1626
      @rm1626 2 роки тому

      Blox (bonoss) told me the same...is there any work around? 18mm just took much poke for front wheels. They suggested to shorten the original wheel studs but I don't want to mess with that. Any downside to going stock on front and 20mm on rear?

    • @downshift00

    • @downshift00
      @downshift00 2 роки тому

      @@rm1626I know what the problem is. The 14mm spacers I mentioned do not have studs.. You slip them over your current studs and use the extended lug nuts so you can use a thicker spacer. Google them and you will see what im talking about.

    • @tonewin9743
      @tonewin9743 2 роки тому

      @@AndysAutoCarePlus the shimmy is because the wheels don't clear the studs. U have to run a 20mm spacer up front. The pockets on the back of the wheels aren't deep enough so the wheels are not sitting on the centric ring correctly.
