I love craw fish it my 2 favorite river water food its ez to catch and ez to cook. This method does work for small and mid sized ones. Big ones you can use you finger and dig it out.😊😊
Is there really nothing in the claws? I'm from Maryland where we even bother to get meat out of each tiny little crab leg lol, so I'm just curious. I've never had the pleasure of a Crawfish boil.
If they are big enough, then yes, the claw meat is worth going after. If they are small (e.g., early in the season), it's generally not worth the effort.
The large ones, yes, although it's not always easy to get out. Sometimes pulling on the movable claw is enough, sometimes you must bight to claw to break it.
Some people (picky ones) care about that and will go through the time and labor to remove it. Serious eaters don't care about that at all. Crawfish are purged before cooking for a reason.
@@pgruhn53 I'm a serious eater as anyone else, I just don't want to eat the vein. I guess I'm a serious eater and picky at the same time? Two things can be true.
Shell part? What do you mean? There's the tail, claws (if they're big enough), and head. No one eats the 'shell', and there's nothing in the head to eat (after you suck out what's inside). The Japanese do deep fried shrimp head and eat the whole frigging thing!
👉👉.. and you actually sucked the head CORRECTLY !! 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 Did yall hear that crawfish head cave in when he crushed it Ann then sucked at the same time ?! THATS HOW YOU EAT A CRAWFISH ANDSUCK THE HEAD. 😋👌
There have been many other comments and replies about that. Crawfish are purged, so serious eaters are not concerned about that. Those who want can separate the meat and pull the intestine out if they wish. Do you bother doing that with shrimp?
1) That's why they're purged before cooking; it empties them out. 2) If you're still concerned, you can follow this method, take the meat out of your mouth (or use your fingers rather than your teeth), pull off the small piece of meat covering the intestine, and pull the intestine out. 3) I've never seen anybody raised in Louisiana or Texas bother with pulling the intestine; only displaced squeamish Yankees. ;-)

I also east shrimp like that too I peel back just enough to grab and then a pinch..
That's interesting; I've never been able to manage shrimp that way. I'll give that a try next time!
I had to go through about six videos before I found a true one from the motherland!
Me too!!!!!! No cap took 4 though lmao
He didn't peel the 💩 off the tail 🤢
@@truthhurts79saw another video of a guy who effortlessly removed it along with the tail. Maybe this method is similar.

My favorite video of how to eat crawfish :)
Nice video! But is there anyway to get the poo vein out?
This only works if the crawfish is cooked PERFECTLY. if it's overcooked a little it won't work.
I've never had to do more than two pinches. If a place can't cook them properly, why give them your business?
@@pgruhn53
Fair point.
I go to lots of cheap buffets cus thats were you can get all of these for

That's true, but it's rare to find them that large. I still prefer to crush the head while sucking on it; it's faster that way.
Bro gives me Bill Murray vibez lol ❤
Howk Tuah on that crawfish!!
Mario knows best
Love this
Mmmmmmmmm crawfish shit. Yummmy!!!
They've been purged before cooking.
Hey it’s the guy from The Super Mario Bros. Movie!!!
THIS RIGHT HERE! Anyone that peels them is an amateur.
As an asian. I have the urge to add lots of rice with that crawfish. 🤤
Sushi style would be fine, but crawfish tend to be a lot smaller than shrimp.
Thanx
Cool man i will do that

Thanks bro
Makes me so hungry. I can't watch this stuff.
at the beginning i thought he said "greetings sIuts"

Every crayfish video I seen they alwasy emphasize "suck the head"😂😂😂
I know it's gross the first time you see people do that, but that's where all the tasty stuff is!

Depends also, at the end of the season. The crawfish meat is stuck to the shell
This is because it’s getting hot so the shell is hardening and the meat is stuck to the shell
Yeah, I have found this to be an 'issue' late in the season.
Nice tashe
These are literally lobsters adapted to fresh water tributaries. Lol identical critter even down to taste and internal structure, just miniature.
Pretty much.
Found these video after i came out of Bag o crab i was peeling like shrimp, i was wrong

Dang brother you need to clean that vein
Salted water before the boil. Makes them puke and crap it all out. Then you eat the clean vein.
🤯
😂I ate it like shrimp 🍤 smh 🦐 crawfish is so different, if it wasn't it wouldn't be messy trying to eat it like a shrimp 😅
Most people eat them like shrimp. It's understandable, but unnecessary and too much work that way.
Trust the outfit
Me personally i eat the shell part too

If they are big enough, the shell is soft enough, and the meat comes out easily enough, then yes, although that is not always the case.

If they're boiled, all the bacteria is killed.

Are you gonna clean the gut out?
no bro we’re not
That's done beforehand with salted water. Makes them expel everything in their tracts.
The claw meat is the best and you wasted it 😢
Nooooo, trust me; I eat the claws if they're big enough!
@@pgruhn53 glad to hear it I was very worried for a bit
You don't eat the claws 🦞 or anything else
If they are large enough, one eats the claw meat as well. "Or anything else"? It's a mini lobster; one eats the tail and claws.
