I have perused this episode of televisual excellence and was not once inconvenienced by the commercially vulgar advertisements to which fellow enthusiasts allude. Mayhap this is because I am employing the browser supplied by Google known as Chrome. I do entreat fellow admirers of Lord Peter to consider doing likewise, don't y'know
bluesoulpaul - Televisual excellence indeed, and only surpassed by the fine prosodic flow of your scholarly comment, or to put it another way, that was a damn good show and a whopper of a comment!
I watched this 40+ years ago on Masterpiece Theater. For some reason, the strange wigs and whiskers on most of the men did not seem remarkable then. Now I can hardly listen to the dialogue for wondering what the devil the costume department had in mind.
I have never read the books, but the politics of all of these LPW television productions are artlessly and unflinchingly reactionary. Every working class character who doesn't reverentially and dutifully admire the essential superiority of the upper class is either a criminal, a lout or an immoral opportunist.
Try reading a Agatha Christie book!... If you really want class predjudice... I try to ignore it all and just enjoy the stories. Dorothy L Sayers actually presented a more balanced view of class than Agatha Christie... Infact lord Peter Whimseys butler is almost a equal at times, and helps solve one or two cases.
Thank you. I am so enjoying this

I use Chrome too...I haven't gotten any commercials either. Thanks for the supposed explanation.
Get knotted.

Your imitation posh isn't quite cutting it, my son, and although intended to be comical, is an affront to my sensibilities.
All jolly good on Firefox
Love the music...and I have nothing special done to my computer. I have no commercials...
Neither do I . Where are you? Maybe it is a geographic thing. Some adverts are set to show only to some audience confined to especific regions.
@@marinaugo4069 Thank you! I never knew that
way too many ads destroys viewing enjoyment; 22 in just this 52 minute episode.
Great programme ruined by some gormless numpty swamping it with adverts. What's the point?
ok i give up just too, too many commercials; going to another movie now
U-tube reallly? 6 or more adds within a few minutes time....why are you doing that ? And stop it!!!
