Hey! It’s not that complicated: life is a series of hills that we must navigate, and with luck and perseverance, we do. However, he is suggesting that this time it is no surmountable hill, but a mountain that he fears he “… can never climb …” A nice day to all.

Elvis was one of the greatest performers of all time. He didn't write the songs, but he had amazing songwriters. His voice was rich and deep. This live concert shows his body movements, which were inspired by his black belts in martial arts. 🥋 He was one handsome, sexy man! This is one of my favorite songs, and yes, it speaks of emotional mountains we climb in our lives. He was called the King of Rock and Roll for good reason! ❤

You are getting into the genius of Elvis, not only did he have the voice, he was able to bring out emotion like no other singer. There are many great singers and if you compare their versions to Elvis versions of the same song, Elvis is the one who puts the emotion into the music. He does amazing things with his voice. P.S. Some people posting really don't understand reaction videos do they? I guess they're expecting you to remember the entire song from beginning to end and comment at the end. That is not the way reactions work. If they want to hear the song all the way through without interruption, they need to listen to the original and not a reaction. You did nothing wrong, so don't take those commenters to heart. In addition, most reactors get their videos deleted for copywrite violation if they play them all the way through.

He's talking about living behind the walls of Graceland, his mansion. All of a sudden he had to live a private live because he became so famous that he couldn't go out in public any more. He would draw such huge crowds, he couldn't go to church any longer or eat at McDonald's any where. He would live at night, he rented out amusement parks, movie theaters, car dealerships to buy his auto's, department stores to do holiday shopping. He paid these owners big bucks to open late nights. There wasn't much night life back then, where things were open 24 hours. So everybody pretty much stayed at home. Today almost everything is open 24 hours and a lot of traffic and going at night.

INFO ON THAT RAMP from the STAGE: Producer/director Marty Pasetta told Parker (Elvis' manager) that he wanted to build a ramp for Elvis to walk out onto & Parker said no. Pasetta explained that it would be 8 ft. wide & Elvis could stay in the middle or go to the left or to the right if he wanted to. Pasetta knew how important the audience was to Elvis. Parker again said no. Fortunately, Pasetta was able to meet w-Elvis & he explained exactly what he told Parker. Fortunately again, Elvis overrode Parker & told Pasetta to build the ramp. Paseta told Elvis he wanted him to lose 25 lbs., which Elvis did. Elvis then hugged Pasetta & said you are one of the few people who has been totally honest w-me. Without that ramp the concert would have been very different if Elvis did not have that option to get in close touch w-the audience.
Watch the water throwing incident -- a different Elvis in 1972 at Hampton Roads, Virginia when @ very, very start of the video Elvis called out “Please Release Me” but the band began playing “I Can’t Stop Loving You” - he didn’t stop them, he went right into the song, he then walked over to his glass of water, picked it up & playfully threw it at Glen @ piano -- a fun, energetic, powerhouse ua-cam.com/video/LNtP5Gd8QGE/v-deo.html -- just make sure you hear him say Please Release Me & then it will make sense -- also note his little annoyed expression @ beginning. Also suggest that you let it flow straight through so his powerful performance can really be appreciated. On this '72 concert his voice was just a little deeper, a little richer.
2 from his '68 special stand-up segment in black leather: "Jailhouse Rock" ua-cam.com/video/87N6Qa0D7KY/v-deo.html (1:50 min.) & "Blue Suede Shoes" from sitting to center stage ua-cam.com/video/Ak5KEbi8Nac/v-deo.html (2:50 min.) -- you could actually do one then follow it w-the other for a total of just 4 min. long. This is Elvis unleashed to do what he did best.

It's easy to tell, that ELVIS isn't singing from his own life experience.
For one thing, he and his wife had a daughter, and not a son.
I know it's fun to analyze lyrics, but if he was the topic of every song he sung, (over 800+ recordings) he would've lived a thousand lives.
I'm not criticizing though, it still makes for a good, but interesting reaction!
