AWESOME!
There are two kind of ebay large lots.
1. Draft chaff / raw card stock. Identifiable by the presence of a Ravnica Remastered box in the thumbnail or Markoc Manor cards or, really anything to do with Ravnica past the original Ravnica block. These can be fun, but generally contain no value. If you want to "find" value, look for lots that include foils, tokens, and basic lands. It sounds stupid, but I've bought $40 bulk boxes, and come away with over $200 worth of foil full-art lands and exotic tokens before.
2. An actual collection with actual value that will be bid way past your budget within 20 minutes of you putting it on your watch list, becuase people will see a revised Bird of paradise and instantly assume it's loaded with Duals and wheels.
Perfect video format. Listen to these random buy openings while I'm doing some house work/washing up and the amount of commentary is just fine. I collect older set boarders and my ears prick up everytime you mention them. Keep these videos coming, man! Thoroughly enjoy this channel :)
If you keep the bulk and teleport into the future, you can play a bulk cube. Get together with some friends, get 30 commons, 9 uncommons and 3 rares, and then shuffle and draft them, then you got a ton of games that are super unique. You don’t have to find which card is which cause they’re all bulk and no one cares if you lose them and you don’t have to keep sleazing and unsleaving your cube to make each draft different. It won’t get rid of a ton of them, but is literally unlimited play opportunities
This is actually an amazing idea. There are a ton of hidden gems that most consider bulk.
I believe the bulk stuff is always a gamble, but its always fun opening anything Magic!!!! I did buy one 500 card bulk, I usually try and make set binders. I like to collect, even it is cheap. I believe all those cheap cards still have art and other things that have always stuck with me.
Right before I started playing again I sold all my old cards from 2008-2011... I have yet to find a bulk lot as good as the one I sold. lol. I kick myself all the time for getting rid of those cards.
Love these videos! you’ve established that the blind buys / flee market finds are one of your signature series. If anyone else made it into a series, they wouldn’t be doing it justice
It's going to suck to go through, but there are a lot of .05 - .10c common/uncommon cards and .10 - .13 cent bulk rares you can sell to the buylist to really pad out the value.
Always remember that bulk playsets sell really well on Ebay. You just have to put the work in to listing them.
For an example, I sell playsets of Pacifism from Core 2020 & 2021 for $1.55 a piece.
Selling bulk playsets actually was harder on tcgplayer as cards normally just listed as singles.
I think the best way for videos like this is fast forward through the bulk and only stop on things worth like $1 or more. That seems to be what most people do, and it prevents us from watching an hour of bulk sorting. Overall though, i love the random buy videos!
I give all my bulk to new players and only keep my commander stuff.
I loe listenin to your videos while sleeving my own cards up and going through them. I am doing my duty as an auntie and giving much of my bulk later this next year to my sister's kids. They're really ito the artifact-centric sets and I'm curating a collection for them out of my bulk. Settings I am not fond of, like New Phyrexia and Mirrodin, make good starters for those nterested in artifacts... we're returning to Phyrexia this winter so I've held onto some random collections I've picked up during the pandemic. Anyway, it will make a great Midsummer present for them.

If you want a bigger buying pool to sell to here in Australia we still do FNM at all LGS, and all other formats. And we can’t get enough stock of anything.
For my bulk, I put them in as filler if I sell something and don’t want cards jiggling around. It gives them a little extra something.
I've gotten a lot of Commander Legends that way from TCG player haha.

Spent the last couple of months picking my bulk( and buying underpriced cards in the area) towards a couple of Volcanic Islands from Card Kingdom. Bulk can add up fast
Ya... for the most part I color sort with that much bulk, pull multiples and see where I’m at. I try to use what is there to build fun decks of any type... maybe tribal and squeeze the pennies from that. Based on what I see Pauper decks are fun easy builds that can easily be supported by cheap cards, even if I have them from other bulk buys.
For the rest of the bulk after that... I use it to protect more valuable sales for shipping... it’s cheaper than bubble wrap😂

@@MattcasterMage totally different subject, but I watch You every day and want to know if You have noticed that there are fewer box opening of TSR than any other new set I have seen... in fact, I am now cringing when I see them opened. I will expect to see eBay listings of $550 a box by early next week. 😳

I actually have a booth in a antique store in my town and in the booth I have big boxes full of magic Yu-Gi-Oh & Pokemon bulk for 10 cents a piece I do very well with those a lot of people will come from out of town out of state stop by and take stores to check out cards and collectibles in a lot of times people will buy several hundred cards from the bulk boxes at a time I also put any singles that are below five bucks out in the booth I just feel like stuff at that price point is not worth putting on TCGplayer
Smart, not necessarily, but the good random buys are getting fewer and further between. I started doing these seriously in sports card world when wax boxes went to $400 (some are at $1200 for a new entry-level product now). For the price of a TSR booster box you got about 4,000 cards from a ton of sets.

Whenever I even look at a "collection" lot I see if the seller is selling other cards ( usually they seem to sell pricier cards separate so the "collection" has few to 0 cards worth anything in them ) :(
your just missing a lot of the 1-10 dollar cards in your totals, I guess is because the editing time, but this was a very good buy! I notice because i want wayfare's bauble and its about 4 dlls

I’m looking into buying bulk like this to get cards to build commander decks. Mostly to just play with friends, would you consider it worth it still to buy in build? I saw someone selling 4K cards for 60$ I’m just afraid I’ll get like 30-40 of the same copy card, but I’m not too concerned about how pricy the cards are.
Not sure if it was just me, but almost the entire video was out of focus and I couldn't see the cards.
Also, maybe put the card name/image for the cards of value, especially when you don't stop on it in the video.
I am usually hesitant to do ebay lots because they tend to be curated to all heck. This looked like a lot of fun to open though. I love doing these kinda videos!
Prices on screen with music & sound effects but if that takes too long just drop more vids instead

I like the long videos and pleeease don't put music over. I'd like to see the end totals, after you went through a second / third time, with a conclusion of your thoughts on the buy and your next steps.
In this particular video the camera focus could have been better, so the pile you're searching is in focus and not the table.

I just toss everything at common rarity, as looking through all of magic's history, anything after ABU at common other than Rhystic study doesn't have much value. I also toss all the lands because I have more than enough revised lands that I can use for pretty much anything at this point.
