    Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn says that oil consumption significantly reduces nitric oxide production, even olive oil, according to israeli research on the subject. Dr. Esselstyn says do not consume oils. Any thoughts on that?

    I am 78 years old. Was in good health until 9 months ago when i started getting gut issues (gastritis without the pain). Was on a lot of antibiotics for dental works before my gut issues. Have been on amepozole for couple of weeks, on and off and finally off. Unfortunately, i have started having neuropathy on my legs, pain and numbness that wakes me up at night. My blood sugar is never higher than 130 and always stable in the 90s. Can I supplements with NO to help me out with the neuropathy? Many thanks.

    Processed food manufacturers need to hear from consumers that less ADDED chemicals, sugar, oil and salt is wanted in their food products.
    Why is there so much ADDED sugar in everything, even bread. That's just crazy
    Email, text, tweet or phone your favorite producer of poison and let them know consumers want less salt, oils and sugars in their products.
    Let their customer service department know that all the extra added salt, oil and sugar is not necessary or desired and is causing health issues.
    Reduce or eliminate highly processed food from your diet if you can.

    What is considered to be a nitrate supplement?? (you are supposed to take 3-400mg)

    • @rredding
      @rredding 5 місяців тому

      I think it should be 40 mg nitrite per day max, at least that's what I take. I don't take nitrate..
      You can buy NO promoting lozenges that contain 40 mg nitrite in the form of sodium nitrite plus magnesium ascorbate.
      I have already made my own nitrite supplement as part of an electrolyte drink.
      It contains positive ions potassium, magnesium, sodium, boron and a tiny amount of lithium in water.
      Also ascorbate (negative ion in vitamin C) and nitrite (NO2-), chloride, sulphate, bicarbonate and iodide.
      Nitrite 20 mg/liter.
      In my next recipe I will use Potassium acetate as a source for both potassium and acetate.

      @@rredding thanks a lot for your help! Don’t u know what he means by nitrate? All i find under this name is beet powder. So confusing. Do you feel good with nitrite?

    • @rredding
      @rredding 5 місяців тому +1

      @@Lolaa11 Nitrate is nitrogen with 3 oxygen atoms and is the negative ion NO3-.
      Nitrite has 2 oxygen atoms and is the negative ion NO2-.
      In general, nitrite is more toxic than nitrate. Toxicity is not a simple subject and I wouldn't advise anyone to do what I do. Oversimplified : nitrate is 10-15 times more toxic than nitrate.
      I looked into several nitric oxide promoting products and they have around 40 mg nitrite per dose.
      They often come as sodium nitrite, but also potassium- or magnesium nitrite is possible. One can easily calculate the molecular weights of these salts and convert the amount of nitrite to the amount amount of the salt reqd to get the 40 mg of nitrite or 400 mg of nitrate.
      Beet root powder seems to be a good source of nitrate and it's a natural source.
      I have used these lozenges for a few months but didn't notice a lot from it.
      When walking it made a difference, it makes walking fast quite easy. I should notice that I'm quite energetic myself and walk easy. But I did notice a difference..
      The reason I'm working with NO forming products is that i lived a very unhealthy life and my arteries are not in the best shape...

      @@rredding Thanks for taking your time to explain it, so useful. Are you talking about Dr. Nathan Bryan lozenges?? I have been eyeing on it but i got discouraged after reading many reviews. I have very low blood pressure and many said that it doubled their heart rate and had serious effect on them for a week. How did you feel while taking it?

      I felt fine, little effect though. If you have low BP, don't take them without talking to you prescribing physician first!

      Eat more meat. You don't get oxalates, and you get all the ammino acids. Plants cause a lot of people problems, and they think it's something else hurting them. Eat animals from head to tail. Consume apple or red wine vinegar.
