You are the best. The best photography technique teacher. Ever. Thank you!
Thanks for your words Explorer. Glad you find it useful.
This is so helpful! Amazing 🤩 Thank you!
Glad for it. Thanks
I’m so happy that I finally found a video that explains this! What would you recommend if I wanted the background to be all the same white value, but not PURE white. (ie. no vignetting, no shadows against the backdrop, etc). An example are the products on Nike’s website that still retain the shadows from the models’ shoes.
Hey Rachel in that casa I would google it. I did it a couple of times and you gonna find tons of tutorial about that
@@LaredoMontoneri what are you searching exactly? I haven’t been able to find anything about Photoshop for that other than fully cutting out images and replacing the background or having lots of light etc.
Here copied from my notes, but it's in Italian so use google translator for your language. it is done to make the background grey like you prefer
here:
Come fare Background neutro grigio 240,240,240 su PS
Learnt a new technique. Thanks

Hi Laredo, it would be wonderful a video focused on black and white color if possibile.
Great video, thanks.
Ok Notes thanks for the suggestion
Great tip Laredo. Thanks
Glad tou liked it. Thanks 😊
Amazing, love your videos! I use this technique, and also utilize a threshold layer pulled all the way right to show any shadows. It's easy to miss a few grey spots that look white to the eye! I use the threshold layer as a guide and delete it when finished touching up. Subscribed!
Oh that’s interesting. So how you create a threshold layer and how does it work?? I wanna learn this.
@@LaredoMontoneri I'll reply tomorrow with info! It's easy 👍
Thank!
@@LaredoMontoneri you add an adjustment layer (Layer menu > New Adjustment Layer > Threshold > keep defaults, click ok); you will get a new layer that is black and white. With the threshold layer selected, pull the slider all the way to the right to show all the shadows. Then you can click back to your picture layer and use your same dodge tool you talk about to remove the shadows. I'll turn the layer off and on as I'm filling in the white spaces, and use the threshold layer to make sure I haven't missed any areas with shadows. Then I delete that adjustment layer and save my white background! Maybe I should do a video about it haha - but someone already did. This is the video where I got the advice from ua-cam.com/video/lMuZqtK2q3Y/v-deo.html ! :)
Thank you Rebecca. I will try tomorrow. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽🤪🤪🤪
This good when need save shadows, better use plugin smart select by mask

How to edit your photoshoot photos edit in laptop or computer what is app ? laptop or computer ? what camera use for photoshoot what lens use for photoshoot ?
Watching all my videos you will get all the answers you need. It’s all there
Is there also anything available regarding skin tone retouching? Especially really skin coloring. Sometimes lights abd white balance did not so good. I do a lot of babys but maybe you have some recommendations from your fashion shoots?
I am sorry I don't have any video on that, or special fix.
Thank you first for the photoshop science video.
Can you show like this video, only in the area of hair, how to process.
Thank you in advance for the work you put into the video tutorials.
I use the same technique just making the background more white already in photo and then little bit little more gently around and between the hair. Of course if you have a lot of stray hair, I would clean them out before using the "dodge and burn", which also give a cleaner look.
Laredo, when your cursor disappears momentarily, what is happening there? For example, right at 8:55 mark you can still see that you're using the cursor but at 8:59 the cursor disappears and a few seconds later reappears. Why is that?
That happens because of the video acreen app I was using to record from my monitor, I think is that maybe I was going too fast for the app to refresh or maybe even the Tablet Wacom I use created some glitch. Idk very well. I was just keep brushing around the edge, I mean doing the same things
@@LaredoMontoneri Thanks. That's what I initially thought but wanted to make sure you weren't using a different technique there. Appreciate the follow up!
Fantastic! I love this trick!! What a lifesaver. Thanks.
