I am the first owner of this 2017 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro.
I bought it because I wanted an adventure vehicle to be able to go places with my family. After living with it for a while I quickly realized what an amazing community that exists around the Tacoma and offroading. There is always someone who is willing to help answer questions or give advice. The people I have met and continue to meet are wonderful and that really made me fall further in love with my truck. That being said I decided to make my truck everything that it can be and build it out. I did some things right and some wrong. I learned a ton to this point and continue to learn. That being said, I wanted to do this indepth update of my truck as it stands right now. Hopefully give some insights to other Tacoma enthusiasts who want to make their truck more capable or customized. This is part 1 as I have more planned for the truck but with so many current changes I think its worth taking a closer look.
Enjoy!

What are the spec’s on the wheels 17x? What’s the offset thanks
x17 X 8.5 6 X 139.7 4.30" -10mm 21lb 11oz
Snorkels are for more than just deep water crossings where they ensure water does not make its way through your airbox and into your engine while crossing rivers and unexpected floodways. The fitment of a well designed and constructed snorkel, just as importantly, protects your engine from dust while traveling along dry dirt roads. The fitment of a snorkel repositions the air-intake to a much higher and cleaner location greatly reducing the amount of dust passing through to your airbox and filter.
Yes but this is just a "desert air intake" its not fitted nor made for water. It's basically just posing. A full fording kit includes a dash panel to turn off all the electronics until the shit is dry again. AND like you said a fully fitted waterproof intake assembly. It's like Scuba diving. You have to check your gear everytime and constantly adjust it.
your not wrong... I kinda regret the snorkel but there is a water feature at my local OVH that is deep. so I have used it there. as long as you dont stop the door seals do a good job keeping water out and the motor was fine. so guess its not all hype or "posing"
Great video and one heck of a nice truck! Best mods by far: Skids, suspension and S-Pods. You have a well thought out and functional ride. The only things that are missing are options for self recovery (winch and maxtrax) and additional fuel storage. Well done!
Gorilla HD thanks for watching! I appreciate the comment. Check out the more recent update: ua-cam.com/video/63wKHuAcOYA/v-deo.html
I sleep in the back of my expy when I'm away and sleeping at an angle is actually comfortable. It "feels weird" at first but the sleep is great
Do you use any thing for a cushion?
@@PointShiftDrive I do, one of those cheap RV mattresses that's only 5 or 6 in thick. A full size is only a inch too wide but it squishes in perfectly once you push the corners down. It's a crap mattress really, all Springs and next to no cushion but honestly my night sleep are not hindered by any of it
Beautiful, never seen a pro in red... Btw hope you're a radio dj, or audio book reader cuz your voice velvety
Thank you for the compliments and for watching! It means a lot to me :)
The lip smacking was driving me crazy, and not in a good way! Cool truck, though.
I got a camper but I had them replace the windows on the side with aluminum doors that lift up to give us access to the bed from the outside without climbing in the vehicle.
Thats pretty bad ass
Just tuned into your channel for the first time and love the content 👍 ( yes I hit that subscribe button) ,, one quick question, in this video you claim the re gearing wasn’t everything you expected, would the 488 gears have worked out better ?
First of all, thanks for the sub!
Secondly... I think the gears aren’t as aggressive as I was led to believe. 4.88s would be even more mellow. I think it all depends on weight of the truck and wheel size. My truck is a bit heavy. Maybe supercharging in the future will do the trick
Just use Maxtrax to level your rig bud....You already have them ya know. Thats what I do anyway. The biggest bummer about a roof top tent to me is not being able to use your truck with out breaking everything down. Nice truck dude
Good tip Rick! Although sometimes it might not be enough to level out the suspension. I appreciate the comment and thanks for watching!
There is a stainless snorkel that really hugs the fender and starts far further back. What you have looks good, just mentioning an alternative!
Think I found that one after I installed this one... wish I had known before hand. Now there is a carbon one that looks good that TacomaBeast is selling.
Love the CB mount. I may have to move mine. Thanks for sharing!!!
Western Colorado Wheeling yeah a necessary evil if you want to run larger wheels
Have you had your rig software tuned to match your motor, tire size, and gear ratio for best performance? Have not seen you mention it, and other videos suggest that makes a huge performance difference. Maybe that's what's missing to make you happier with your nice truck.
Is it worth spending $9k on a supercharger for your Tacoma?
ua-cam.com/video/ADdyXTHi804/v-deo.html
There have been lots of changes to my truck since that video.
Feel free to check out more of my channel. Hope it helps! And thanks for watching.
I really like the color of ur pickup, I just bought a 2019 🌮 in metallic grey and I couldn't be happier and I cant wait to accessorize it to my specs.
Thanks.... I am happy with it as well. It always catches my eye. But I wish I had the option of getting that green~!
@@PointShiftDrive that new green color is DOPE
18:29 Yeah, I got the Total Chaos bed stiffeners, too. EVERY Tacoma guy needs to buy into the bed stiffener brace.
Yeah I agree. I just wanted a bit of insurance so that I don’t crack my bed. But the funny thing is I use the mounting holes on the stiffeners all the time. They are so handy! Just that in itself made the bed stiffeners worth it!
@ShinyStarDust Homes repeat that on TacomaWorld.com :D
@ShinyStarDust Homes the issue is that with a shell and significant weight on top, and putting the truck through some flex, the beds can crack. the stiffeners help keep the bed from torquing and cracking. At least this is how I understood it. Either way, they really are nice just for having extra places to tie things down with. I love mine!
Why, really think adding holes into a “supposed “ weak point doesn’t make sense...
jsus man, threw the whole wallet at this thing. Looking good
you have no idea... lol
actually if you watch some of the later videos, more gets done to the Taco.
Thanks for your video and the great tips! Do you think it’s a bad idea to go for a long bed Tacoma for Overlanding and off-roading? Also, any reason you decided to go with an eLocker for the front rather than an air locker connected to an air compressor?
Good questions!
First off... a long bed would be better for over landing because you get more room for stuff. Being able to carry more things is a huge advantage. However... a long bed has a worse departure angle. Therefore as an off-roader it will have more of a challenging time climbing up obstacles. But then again, there are work arounds. I would have bought mine in a long bed in hindsight. As for the locker.... an elocker is more reliable. Think of it this way.... if anything pinches or cuts the airline to the diff, your front locker is useless. Also If your compressor stops working for some reason. To me, I didn’t want that headache. Mine is simply connected to the battery and is activated with electricity. It’s also a bit of personal preference. Hope that all makes sense
Cool video buddy ...I'm from the area ..used to camp near there...is this memorial? Picking up our Tacoma tomorrow!
Not sure exactly what it was called. Portola Valley Redwoods was the general area. Congrats on the TACO! Im happy for you. You will love it
@@PointShiftDrive Bro.....LOVE it! Need a tent option next
thats alot of money u added to that truck, its awesome very good looking truck.
Very true... Wonder if anyone would have interest in a "cost to build" video. hmm..... You tell me. Back to the truck, I love this thing. it is a beast! It can go pretty much anywhere and I love how it turned out so far. I have more plans of course.... Will for sure do a video once those next bigger ticket items are done.
Thanks for watching
bought TRD pro which comes with capable Fox shock, Never will go to Rock crawling anytime soon but throw out Fox and put King's shock. That's luxury!!!!
Chew, let me be direct with you. I work extremely hard at my day job to raise my kids and support my entire family. I dont make any money from YT (actually lose money) or other channels. I do these videos because I want to help others get more info on parts for their trucks and also inspire more car and truck enthusiasm. I hope that helps you understand I dont have some trustfund er something....
As for why I changed out my Fox OE shocks, its simple. That suspension is great but if you want to actually run bigger wheels, you are limited. You need to swap them out to get a bigger lift. Here is a nice tidbit for you: I sold my used Fox shocks and used the proceeds to pay about 50% of my King shocks. So, it really wasnt that much of a stretch if you think about it.
Regardless, I just want to say that you dont have to be rich to mod your vehicle. You dont have to be lucky either. You just have to be willing to work extra hard for the things you want.
Thanks for watching.
Fantastic ride! The Kings and the front diff really rock! From Oklahoma
Thanks. And yes, this thing is a beast. Can’t wait to take it to Moab
Nice setup, thanks for sharing. How is that camper shell holding up for you? I'm considering getting the same one, curious how durable it is while offroading, and the weight capacity.
My shell is doing great. No issues what so ever! I have been surprised by how strong it is as well cause I always add so much weight on top when I go on trips. I think there are better strong shells out there. I think ARE makes one but for the price this one is pretty amazing.
Your truck looks great. I was interested in your ARB awning mounted off the back of the shell. I was looking to put one on my shell and mounting it off the rear. Do you have a video talking about it, how you mounted it, and if you like it? Thanks!
Good eye! I used these ARB awning brackets and attached them to the end of my shell sliders: amzn.to/3028Wez
They hold the awning on perfectly. I love it! The only thing is I had to go to HomeDepot to buy some basic hardware. Hope that helps
@@PointShiftDrive Thank you for the reply. Thats exactly what I'm planing on doing!
Gorgeous truck.
Ceaser thanks for the compliment. Also feel free to check out the rest of the channel. I appreciate you watching
Magnuson just came out with a Supercharger available 1st quarter of 2020 👍🏼
I cant wait!!!
That's good news indeed. I was just thinking they had to come up with a new one for the hype.
very nice...lots of good info. Thanks for sharing...just got my 20 tacoma offroad too...
Congrats! its an awesome truck!
Planning to buy my son his first Tacoma truck but he’s only 10. The mom won’t mind at all😂
Love it! Lucky kid
Put that money away for college bro. Or admit its for you. lol ;)

@@PointShiftDrive Was talking about the guy with the 10 yrs old prospect for a 2020 taco lolll
@@PatTheRiot ah... sorry the phone app doesnt do a great job to show you the entire chat thread. but I see now lol
Can you give more details about your Kings lift? Or possibly a link to where you purchased it from?
wheelersoffroad.com
Give these guys a call. they will answer all your questions. They are great!
How quickly do you add all these features? All at once, maybe within a month or within a year?
I’m the type where I buy my truck then get excited and wanna buy everything I can at once at get it all done. But I know that’s not always feasible.
Good question... I basically built the truck in 1.5 years. however I am still not done. I also am more like you in the sense that I like to do many things quickly so that I can enjoy them for longer. The way I see it, if you can swing it financially, go for it! You will enjoy it for longer. If you cant, then do it step by step. Its a marathon, not a sprint. Just make sure you knockout the features you need and care about first. Hope that all make sense.
Do you recommend to get the TRD off road to make it look like yours instead of the PRO? It’s seem like the springs and skid plate that come with the TRD Pro you replaced them. I want the PRO but it like how yours is turning out.
There are many details that the Pro has the OR doesn’t. Black badging, wheels, fake leather seats etc. but if you don’t care about that stuff then just get the OR and be happy.
Gotta ask here... Did you buy the TRD pro just because it was "The PRO"? I'm asking because they have a tonneau cover and you put a shell on, they have a sunroof and you put a tent over it, they have the snorkel, and also a non-functioning cowl, .... right?
I'm only asking because I bought the TRD Off-Road and seeing if I should have gotten the pro?
I bought the Pro because I wanted a capable truck. But... its like the old saying goes, "no matter how much you have, its never enough."
turned out great so far, I just put some 285/75 r17 on my gen 2 tacoma sport and love them so far. what made you go with 5.29s instead of 4.88?
Thank you! As for 5.29s I made the decision based on tire size and current/future weight of the truck. I knew I’d be adding more weight (still more to come) and I didn’t want to have to regear again. However I don’t regret it at all. 5.29s feel great. Not sure why 4.88s are even needed to be honest.
I think the James broud is nice with 360 view, and doors on 3 sides.
3 doors can be handy for ladder placement. thats for sure!
Any concerns or issues with your prinsu roof rack and having your RTT mounted on the cab like with weight or anything? Also would you do a different rack now knowing you’re using it with a RTT?
No issues at all. Though the Front Runner racks are better for having more room to get the RTT on and off the rack. With the Prinsu I have to remove cross bars and keep them attached to the tent
You've replaced most of the TRD Pro parts - do you wish you had saved some money and gotten a Sport since you did the upgrades anyway?
Not true.. but overall keeping it stock was the plan... "was" the plan. I have no regrets.
Hi great looking truck quick question are you still happy with OV tunning it is worth it to buy ?
Thats a good question... I think now that I have been living with it for so long, its hard to remember what the stock feel was,... However, the shifts are CLEARLY better with the OVtune. that I remember very well. Its worth it just for that in my humble opinion.
@@PointShiftDrive thanks I will probably go for it thanks again
What ditch lights are those and what brand of amber covers are you using, nice truck.
Thank you... Those are Rigid lights. Pretty much get those and the covers anywhere. Stop giving him grief about the snorkel intake... regardless of how it looks or whether it will realistically get used the bottom line is your not a true hardcore Tacoma moder without that mod and this guy is clearly is in the top 1%... He has done good work on this truck, he wanted a Tacoma that is just about the complete package and I say mission accomplished.
That old ferrari formula 1 shirt 😀
Buys tacoma pro, changes suspension, tires/wheels and skid plates. lol. Literally the whole pro package.
PatTheRiot wheels/tires always get upgraded when wanting larger sized tires. I loved the style of the OE but it wouldn’t accommodate this size tire. As for the skids, the pro only comes with the front. I basically added extra protection (transaxle/gas) and a new front so that they work together properly. And as for the lift, the pro lift isn’t that great. When you weigh down the truck with all your overlanding gear that 2 inch lift is more like a 1 inch lift.
Make sense? Think I justified my reasons but glad you like the pro package that much.
@@PointShiftDrive Hope you saw my other msg, just messing around big. I would go the same route if I went taco, those king shocks look insane. I just wish toyota didn't come up with such a stylish and sleek interior. The lack of power was enough to forget the mpg of the frontier. But now is like... heh. Might have to suck it up and try to supercharge the taco.
PatTheRiot just seeing this. But I agree. The Tacoma is one of the better looking midsized trucks there is. I even like the interior more than in the tundra. But every purchase has a compromise. Hence as our love for trail competency increases, we need to upgrade! At least it’s a platform that we all love.
Couldn’t you have bought a TRD Off-road? The savings would have paid for the suspension and canopy!! I understand heavy modifications, but start with a less expensive base and you would still have the same truck now. The Pro part of the TRD is gone!! Just have a name now. No?
love the McLaren MP4 shirts!
Amazing, right?
Nice set up! Just started building my 17 TRD off road for overland type trips.
pdx.trailerguy thank you. And I appreciate you watching. What have you done so far on your build?
@@PointShiftDrive little bit of a lift, tires, wheels, leer canopy, bedslide, prinsu rack, and a bunch of camping gear or storage. About ready to pick out a roof tent and another prinsu rack for the canopy. I'm hoping by this spring the build will be far enough along that I can actually use it...
I don't really have anything on youtube, "yet" ...but my IG does. 👍

The three red switches that you have on the driver side, what are they used for?
Good eye.
Those used to be for my aux lights before I bought an SPOD. Now they are just static until I need a switch for something else.
@@PointShiftDrive I love the location of them. Out of the way and super clean
What would you recommend as the first few mods for a stock 2019 trd sport? I dont do offroading and will be on road almost 100% of the time. Will do camping but only twice a year. I love your mods but I just want my taco to look sweet without looking like an imposter with offroad accesories ol
dj Kaleido if you plan on being mostly on road then you can keep it mostly stock. However I would do an OV tune, shell, and roof racks. I’d even consider bed storage (depending on your needs). You don’t need much more than that.
Thanks for watching!
@@PointShiftDrive awesome, I was thinking of just making it more pro like (just grill and wheels) as well as a step bar and the roof rack. I appreciate the quick response! Enjoy the taco! :)
Who did your front lockers install and how much was labor?
I had Shaffers Off-road do the front locker. Can’t remember exactly how much it cost since I had a few other things done at the same time. But you can call them up. They are very reasonable.
Not sure if you mentioned it but who makes that antenna mount on the rear?
Sorry I left that out... That was by Rago Fab. www.ragofabrication.com/
What are the benefits of the trd pro vs buying a trd off-road for much less and just buying better suspension and tires. The fox stuff seems mediocre from the reviews I’ve watched
the Pro gives you some nice to haves. blacked out headlights, better tail lights, blacked out badges, colored rear bumper valence, better hood with decals, rigid fog lights, a leather like interior, of course Fox suspension, better wheels and tires from factory, and better resale value.
I think the cost differences between the OR and the Pro are exaggerated. I mean, if you plan on modifying your OR, it will quickly close the gap with the Pro. Think about the stuff mentioned above. most people do at least half of these as aftermarket on their OR. I have zero regrets going for a PRO. Not to mention when I sold my Pro parts I got top dollar for them. doubt you will see the same return with the OR parts.
The Pro is worth it in my eyes
@@PointShiftDrive fair enough I love the snorkel and badging. I’m looking at lightest used Tacoma’s currently and I’m sure as you know the prices are insane. 50k mile trucks still going for 38-45 🙄
Lol people get skid plates for rock protection...I might have to get some so thieves can get to my cats haha...people steal them around my area. But the ones u have would probably deter anyone for sure.

yes, CBI. they are great! more detail here: ua-cam.com/video/63wKHuAcOYA/v-deo.html
Is there a reason as to why you placed the RTT up front as opposed to the rear above the camper shell?
Hi Don. Yes actually. a couple reasons... first of all, my shell isnt really rated to hold that much weight. I mean, it probably could do it but its not designed to hold 500lbs + and would hate to crack the shell. Secondly, the RTT is too long. So the nose would rest on the cab rack anyway. This creates issues when off road and the bed versus the cab articulate. In other words it could damage the RTT. Lastly, dont think it would look any better with it on the back. Just my $.02 on that last one.
Hope all that makes sense.
@@PointShiftDrive I am glad i found this, i was debating doing a RTT on my tacoma camper shell or the cab. do you have any issues with your RTT rubbing on your shell and or rear prinsu rack? AMAZING truck! absolutely done perfectly
@@brandoncaulkins3607 thank you for watching!
The RTT does rub a bit on the rear rack but I solved that by using some extra phone plates for magnetic mounts. So no biggie.

Quick question, what kind of coax cable did you use for you're cb? I have almost the exact same setup but I went with the non grounded and cannot for the life of me get the antenna calibrated. Im using the caliraised truck bed mount on the passenger side
Hi Bobby, sorry your having issues... how tall is your antenna? I used this to calibrate: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004ULN610/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
@@PointShiftDrive I actually used the same swr meter but any channels above 10 have a swr reading higher than 3. Im using a 3ft firestik on a quick disconnect. But again, I'm trying to find out if maybe it's my coax cable since it's a non ground cable. I want sure id have enough metal in the area to ground it.
Awesome truck btw
Bobby Franco hmmm I am not sure. I didn’t have any issue but my antenna is a 4 foot vs a 3. Besides antenna length it could be the cable. Can you buy an extra one with ground to test?

Sbenis24 no. You just gain the ability to lock the front when you need it.
Great video bud and love your rig!!
Thanks Miguel. I appreciate it.
If you don't mind me asking how much$$$ was all the Mechanical parts and Labor?¿

I’d recommend checking with your local off-roading ship for a realistic estimate. I did most of the installs myself to save money. However I did pay about $4k with parts for the gears
Just curious what model camper shell that is

Its at the end of Alpine road basically off the 280. Portola Redwood state park
You obviously have deep pockets! Wow!!!
Hi Eric,
no... I wish I did! I was able to build this truck out by doing a couple of key things.
1- sold lots of OE stuff off the truck I didnt need and got premium $ for those parts
2- I did much of the installs myself to save $
3- I saved to buy my truck for 3 years!
4- I also do lots of consulting work on the side
Basically I am just very passionate about making my vehicle the way I want it. It makes me happy and most importantly its been supported by my very understanding wife. Thanks for watching. Hope you enjoyed this video and others on my channel :)

How much did your build cost?
Well the build is not done yet... but I actually haven’t been keeping track. Hmm maybe that’s an upcoming video I can deliver?

Wow great video!
RapidFire1214 glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching!
Name of the aluminum fuel tank skid?
That skid came from RCI, I believe... However also check out Rago. They have a pretty nice one that just came out.
Does the RTT have a rain fly/awning option?
It did not have that as an option... They may have some accessory option now but you would have to check on their website or call. I find that they offer a lot more than the US website shows.
In my experiences though there really isnt any issue with rain. I have camped in a pretty intense rain storm and didnt have any issues with water coming in to the tent or anything. Then again, if rain was being blown sideways, maybe it would.
Nice build !!!
Thank you
Nice truck, but those spot lights gotta go in my opinion.

I have been thinking about doing a costs video. What specifically would you like to see covered?
So you got like 15k at least to make it better for crawling and off roading but you don't do crawling ? I just wonder if you didn't overkill this ? Would be more understandable if you did more crawling and going off-road then I would think you would have high clearance bumpers .. don't meant it in a bad way but this was something that I really thought about first what am I gonna be doing with the truck .. you don't wanna put 15k into truck just so it looks great hahaha or at least that's me
I dont know if there is such thing as "overkill" if you use it. Currently I am limited on adventures I can go on since I have a new born and a toddler. However once they are a bit older, its on! Why did this guy even get a trd pro if he replaced the fox shocks with King's? Kind of a waste of 10 grand to get the pro instead of the off-road or sport 4x4.
Hi Josh.
I have already answered this question like a 1000 times but one last time is fine.
When I bought this truck I had no plan to mod it. it was perfect for the time. it did a great job. I mainly bought a pro over an OR because of the following reasons:
1- leather seats.
2- I liked the lighting package better (head and tail lights)
3- dark badging
4- better skid plates!
5- better resale id I decide to sell
6- better wheels and tires
7- better exhaust
8- and yes, better suspension (fox over bilstein)
9- Barcelona Red!
10- Toyota Grill!
HOWEVER.... over time I started using the truck more for overlanding and offroad trails. I quickly realized that id like it to be higher and have more ground clearance. that means bigger wheels. however you cant run significiantly larger wheels on the truck unless you also lift the truck. Hence the Kings! FYI I bought my complete suspension setup for less than $4700 with everything. I sold my OE Fox suspension for $2200. Not a bad trade if you ask me.
Also mind you I got $400 for my OE skid! that was almost full price.
Overall, I dont regret it at all. I love my truck and if you do the math, it isnt a loss of $10k. ;)
Thanks for watching.
I don't get the whole snorkel thing. How many 4 foot deep rivers are you really going to ford unless you live in New Orleans? Im sure it adversely affects gas mileage on a truck thats already kind of a gashog.
I agree... I actually kinda regret the snorkel. I think its a bit much. BUT its nice to know I have extra capability if needed. The main reason I did get it is because. at the OVH near me there is a water feature that is kinda deep. probably like 3 -5 ft
@@PointShiftDrive well I was recently schooled that it was more for not sucking sand into the intake for Desert/dusty conditions, so that kinda makes more sense. It looks cool if you want that overland look, i give you that.
How much was your topper?
Cameron Whelan bought it new for about $2200. I am going to be selling mine in a couple months. I bought a new camper so that will replace my topper
@@PointShiftDrive
Awesome, thanks for the info.
What new camper did you get?
Nice Rig....
thank you
big plans for this summer! F COVID! voodoobluetacolife19💙🌮
Just be safe!
where can i get the F1 T shirt?
limited run but you can check with: Blipshift.com
Great vid I'll stick to traditional tents.😆😆😆😆
Its funny.... I have since sold my RTT since I have a Vagabond coming hopefully soon... but since then I have been just using a regular tent. That being said I dont mind the regular tent but I hate pumping up the air mattress and deflating after. thats my pet peeve but what can you do?
Point.Shift.Drive I would just bring a roll up foam pad since you’d be taking the Tacoma so weight isn’t much of an issue
@@UA-camAIbot Thats the beauty of a setup like this... you have options.
@@UA-camAIbot there are so many solutions to the problem. the trick is to figure out which solution works for you today. I can tell you from experience that a regular tent or foam mattress in the truck bed is fine for a while... but when you have a family and dogs that come with you, all the sudden you need more space. I am in the process now on getting a camper made for my Taco. that should be the best of both worlds. stay tuned for that!
I think that the snorkel is totally unnecessary. You can change my mind after you take your pro through water up to your windshield.
Ha! Fair enough. I actually do regret the snorkel a bit. However better to be prepared than not. Think Katrina like flooding. 🤷🏻♂️
ok now i watch this video about re-gearing... Good move with that.
Steve Tucker it’s a must if you add a bunch of weight. Bigger wheels alone will make the truck sluggish. This isn’t everything but helps
@@PointShiftDrive Does re gearing void any warranties?
@@chrisb6866 yes it does.
Them snorkels look hideous but love the Tacoma
I kinda agree... I dont love the way my ARB looks but it does the job. if there is a better one, I would have considered it.
No way on the intake. That’s crazy.
Dave Waldon its not meant to be pretty. All about function.
Sweet shirt!
thank you
Ugh, we got another one guys
Mods list?
That’s kind of what the video is
Personally, I would get 5.29 along with a supercharger.
I have 5.29s.... and ill be first in line for that Mag Charger!
paint the camper lid same color as truck and you got something there
kj willard thought about that. However in summer “white” keeps it cooler than color but good suggestion
Lifting tacos is to damn expensive
Modding cars and trucks in general is expensive. Once you make one change it affects something else and makes you keep modding. It’s a rabbit hole for sure. But I can tell you that I love my truck more today than I did the day I bought it. And I’ll probably never sell it. So it’s worth it to me. Just need to save and do thinks a little at a time

first thing I noticed was you were parked on a paved campground lol
Snorkel? I don't think i will be doing enough river crossings to justify it.
Never say never ;)
Get a Pedal Commander!!!
Andy Handy had one. It was ok. ua-cam.com/video/nPzbviKN96o/v-deo.html
Ok cool. I couldnt never go back now. It transformed my truck. Thats how i feel anyways. But i gotta say,ive got a long way to go with my rig and i love yours. Best of luck man
Andy Handy thanks for watching. Also you might want to check out OV 2.0. I’m testing it right now and it’s pretty impressive so far.
@@PointShiftDrive will do
Am I the only that hates snorkels
Maybe 🤷🏻♂️
285/75/16 are 33 inch tires.
285/70/17 are~33 inch as well
Kevin Matejovsky these are 285/75/17
Point.Shift.Drive the diameter is still 33”
Ok. My bad. 285/75/16 and 285/70/17 are 33” diameter.
Kevin Matejovsky looks like Tirerack says these tires are 33.8x11.2R17. Which is about “.2” of a 34. I think we are splitting hairs but You are right.
I wana pay you to do 6:35 mod to my truck
luis nava ha! No thanks. I never want to do that again. Nerve wracking!
@@PointShiftDrive do you know of any mechanics that would do this?
luis nava not sure where you live but do a search for “off road fab” shops in your area. I’m sure there will be someone near you.
Feel sorry for your wife. She got push around , in the back seat, out side, in the truck... just so you can make your silly video ... lol
My wife is very supportive and loves helping with all my videos. Guess I am one of the lucky ones. Thanks for watching
Longbed sleep in back
badderthanyou that becomes harder with a family and dogs.
