Love this review! I just purchased a 2024 GLE 63S AMG SUV and I love it! I got one in Diamond White Metallic with the Night Package. It is fully loaded and is so luxurious but turns onto a BEAST when you want it to!! 😎
I'm countin' on you guys..:) I have one on order based mostly on watching your reviews (well ok EVERY review I could find). It's a bit of a stretch but I'm coming to the end of my driving years and I want to go out with a bang and this looks like the ticket. thanks for a great review, oh and my wife likes you guys too because you know when to shut up and let her hear the car..:) Update: We LOVE our "consuming monster"! Unbelievable ride, like a luxury lounge in a bank vault strapped to a rocket engine. Just don't pay any attention to that 7 or so mpg around town. Thanks again for the great reviews, you pegged this one for sure..:)
Hi, from Japan!! Thanks you for the fun video. You guys are true. I think the car is worthy for $140K. However, it is impossible to buy it for an ordinal man like me. Therefore, I love your way of purchasing cars. “Used cars” would be one of good way to get hi performance car. Like Auto Tempest!! Having used cars are not shameful . Smart choice!!

Those nice subtle hips at the rear that curve out of the panel below the side rear glass appear to be the exact right angle to catch water, snow, and road grime, and make it look like the paint is beginning to peel when viewed from a distance.
Mine was 129k with 40k package the total out the dealer was about 200k . This is one of the best vehicle I ever purchase I am very happy . Better than the gwagon and the Range Rover SV . Super fast unbelievable
Other than being more expensive and slightly larger interior, how does the Mercedes GLE 63 compare to the BMW X5M competition. I have never owned any Mercedes products but the GLE and even the GLS has caught my attention lately. Both of your reviews on the 21 and 24 model years were great by the way.
@@omary5439 I’m sure the GLE coupe compares with the X6m. The GLE and the X5 are pretty much the same size and price as the coupe is the same size and design as the X6. At least this is what the specs indicate.
The GLE350 offers a nicer interior, but it's very rare, with leatherette deashboard and nappa seats. The GLE63 STARTS at an even higher level with nappa dash and door trim, suede headliner, etc.
I had 350 since new in 20 before my 24 gle 63 I had macchiato beige on interior on 350 I did designo white on 63 While there is more leather and alcantera on 63 the overall luxury feel and experience is basically the same The 350 interior at 70 k was incredible feeling No creaks rattles in 40k miles for me Bargain for what you get
I’m still watching the video, didn’t finished yet, so here is another comment, can you please share with us the deleted when you put your feet on the paddle all the way down and try to merge to high way or try to pass another car… what a huge delay on the car reaction…
I couldn’t tell from the shots, but is this the five seat or seven? The AMG is way out of my price range, but when replacing our 7 year old XC90, the lower trims looks to be an option.
Try and Turo one if you can. I rented a GLE350 on a trip thinking it would be this beautiful, luxurious experience and it just wasn’t. I was surprised how cheap things felt. People complain that Korean cars are a bandwagon but “entry” level trims for the GLE aren’t worth the price and there isn’t much reason to buy one.
Mercedes needs to step up their luxury and tech game. They have fallen behind massively since now we have the highly Technological and luxurious Cadillac Escalade.🤷♂️
Bentley Bentayga, Lamborghini Urus, Rolls Royce Cullinan, and Ferrari Purosangue all cost multiples of this Mercedes… which is crazy. Thanks for watching!
You’re right however one thing I noticed which sucks for me on long road trips is that going from a range of 520 miles full tank on my 350 I now get like 350 on my gle 63 😫 significant on road trips stopping more
You're very fortunate. But don't mistake your good fortune for the way everyone lives. For vast majority of people in this country and the world, a $150K vehicle is a luxury they'll never experience. And I'm not hating on the rich. I have one. :)
That steering wheel is hideous. Also don't like the old man Towncar transmission shift lever on the steering column. BMW X5M is a better value and performs better. These guys never met a car they didn’t like. As bad as the Motorweek channel.
I just bought two cars totalling $130,000 and don't have a car loan. So yes, I can afford it. Again, it doesn't need to be flashy, but it at least needs to look and feel special for 140k.
I feel exactly the same way. I am far away from the price bracket of car models you seem to be, but even when it comes to economy cars or regular Joe Schmo cars, I don’t want to feel like I’m driving a Playskool child’s toy. My first car was a VW Golf and I got it largely because the interior quality was far superior to the competition yet didn’t cost as much as say, an entry premium car would cost. Different principle but similar for high end cars IMO. If you’re paying that much for an aspirational car, what most people would consider cars in this price bracket to be, you want to feel as though you’ve “made it”, or maybe if you’ve just retired and have put money aside over the years and are finally able to purchase that dream car you’ve always had your eye on, well you want to feel like you’re hopping into an “experience”. It’s gotta do something for you emotionally at that point. Long story short, whether you’re shopping for an economy car or luxury car, it’s important IMO, for car manufacturers to put in that effort to confirm for the buyers, what exactly they’re getting for their hard earned money. I’m the same way though, I hate the thought of driving around in some shouty car, but I’ve gotta feel something when hopping in, it’s gotta do more for me than just wear the right badge and be expensive.
@@benwells2338 extremely well said! My two cars I just got are a 2023 Corvette Z51 and a 2023 Mazda 3 hatcback. Completely different cars, in completely different categories, but both punch above their weight class for the price.
@@TestDriveVideos I’ve never understood how drivers feel “safer” riding higher up, I’m the opposite. I guess if everyone is rolling around in 5000 lb behemoths, it becomes an arms race on the road.

Sounds crazy - isn't that bad anymore. It's a new era. One where I, a 25 college grad is looking for work only over $70k to cover my fixed costs.
Great review thanks guys. The amount of space Merc has left with their GLE classes is awesome.
Enjoy the dynamic you both have.
Love the review. Cant afford the car though but its nice to dream :)
Reminds of Fiddler on the Roof “if I were a rich man ….” Lol. I can feel what Paul is saying.

Is there a rear wheel steering?
are the lower parts of the door panel still hard scratchy plastic or is it soft material now? In Porsche and BMW, they are soft or even leather!
“Sounds like a WWII fighter as it goes by.” ❤
Thank you for this. Nope I’ll wait for 6 years to own one

It’s expensive until you start looking at the Mercedes electric somewhat equivalent lol is it EQE or EQS?
AMG’s sometimes depreciate quicker than their mainstream counterparts so you might be rolling in one of those by year 3!
Please do this same review three years from now, once the car leaves the repair shop 🎉

I assume this has nicer interior materials than the 350? I rented one on Turo (less than 10k miles on it) and was hugely disappointed in the quality.

It’s a different animal. The Macan is akin to the GLC 63s. This GLE is a larger vehicle with an engine that has significantly more power
