And re: "super SUVs", I've been skeptical, too, before. Ever since I had the opportunity to get behind the wheel of a Porsche Macan Turbo, I have been convinced that fast crossovers can work. Besides, it's much easier to convince my wife that I need an SUV than a sports car.
Yup, that’s how I got my glc 63s. Because it was more ‘practical’ and ‘safer’ in my wife’s eyes

AMG really took game on audi and BMW in last few years I never ever thought I would ever buy GLE and here I am I have GLE 450 almost 8 months now i never thought I would buy gle 63 over X5M but i think i most probably would do the interior of this car is simply awesome

This is the first time Mercedes-AMG implemented mild hybrid tech on the M177 4.0 bi-turbo engine, Max. They have done it before in their 6-cylinder engines.

@@ericnelissen2146 No, as I have mentioned earlier, the mild hybrid tech is all new for the V8 bi-turbo engine. Prior to this, this engine does not have any electrical assistance.
The 6 cylinder engine goes in the GLE 53. This one comes with the EQ Boost mild hybrid tech.

@@timonxDlol I believe that is not an electric turbo. The term EQ Boost is actually an integrated starter generator, mounted between the gearbox and the engine. It combines with an alternator, starter motor and an electric motor.
The benefits of this setup is that turbo lag can be minimised, energy can be recouped to recharge the lithium ion battery which supplies electricity to the 48V system and provides smooth operation during start stop situations especially when driving in the city.

The 2021 Mercedes Benz - AMG GLE 63s 4MAtic+ is second to my favourite SUV; the most incredible Galenda Wagon "AMG G63s".

Barney Stinson I have a glc 300. I need a bigger car for my family and something sporty. Gle 53 is good but its rivals are much much quicker. And they have v8s like the audi sq7 and the bmw x5 m50i. The car is not even close to the hp that they have nor the 0-100kph. The gle 53 is so slow that the base model bmw x5 xdrive40i is quicker to 100kph

@@doubled9682 The X5 is a lovely . BUT the only issue u will get is if u forgot to charge the car. For example u forgot the charge about 1 month or more the battery will totally give up on u and the battery will cost a lot of money depends on where you are from

x5m is way too stiff for you... prob plenty people will still enjoy it given BMW sells a lot of them to each his own, did it ever cross your mind that not everyone wants what you want in a car?
Pretty much the best allrounder suv which money can buy. X5M is close, but the interior is not as nice as the GLE‘s, according to max its less comfy and the sound is a lot worse.
That sound at the begging is always a pleasure to hear.

I'm a big fan of your channel, but this time you can see that you're at AMG and it's relatively an advertising clip because you didn't say anything negative about the car the whole video. But it's ok because you were much more neutral with the GLE in the video from the Netherlands. Anyway this is a gorgeous car :) Cheers

Actually the valves do open up but you can't really hear it since he is driving in the lower revs

The only thing I don’t like is the shape of the GLE. Too box like in back. Not enough curve. That’s why I chose the X3 M40i instead, besides being faster, it just looks better in my opinion.

OEM GLE 500 e got 333hp + 85hp e boost (443-445hp) so not the first... So GLE 500 E, outruns Gle 43 amg 🤙🏼

So help me understand. You talk smack about BMW. You give it praise about being more aggressive and better handling. However you like the Mercedes for being more comfy and civilized. They are Sport spec. M vs AMG. If you selling me Sport then give me the BMW. Aggressive with the handling. Comfy and civilized thats not Sport or Sport +. Just saying.
I saw it in the back mirror y-day on German highway and went for speed with my Porsche Cayenne S 500 ps... and.. I dropped at 260 km/h him clued at my Stoßstange.. and went on right lane like a dog with its tail between da legs.
5 minutes later my friend on the passenger seat called that Mercedes the „Porsche killer“ and we had a gooooood laugh for 25 minutes debating... the encounter..
on the way to Rostock for ferry to Sweden fishing holiday..

If I understand correctly from the big German trio of which Audi RS Q8, BMW X5 M, Mercedes GLE 63 S is the Mercedes will be preferable? Is it the best choice if I choose between these three cars?
I'm sad for 2022 and up they got rid of the V8. Looks like I'll have to get a 21 for one of the GLE's with the V8
