Tip for anyone wanting a male shinnies - go for a shiny group "Female Lead (50% Male Target)". This will mean that Pokémon that have a 50/50 gender ratio will make the males have an increased shiny rate. As if you do a "Female Lead (87.5% Male Target)" the cute charm glitch will only work on Pokémon that have a 87.5% chance of being a male. The 87.5% group will not make all Pokémon have an increased shiny rate. So when picking a Female lead you are limited to the Pokémon's specific gender encounter rate. E.g if you wanted a shiny Abra in Gen 4, you would need to go for a group "Female Lead (75% Male Target) (as Abra in Gen 4 has a 75% chance of being male and a 25% chance of being a Female), however if you also wanted a shiny Zubat, you would not get the cute charm glitch as Zubat has a 50/50% ratio. I highly recommend if you are not bothered about gender just go for a shiny group with a male lead as that will mean all Pokémon will have an increased shiny rate except the ones stated.

So as someone getting back into it I have a general question. If I want to play against the odds and grind for each shiny, Is it as simple as whenever I come across a Pokémon I just turn the system off and restart it after saving? If the said Pokémon has a shiny version of it? I’m also confused about how to soft reset without turning the system off each time. If anyone could help me I would be very appreciative!
If you mean trying to find one the normal way and if it’s just a regular wild Pokémon then no you don’t have to turn off the system you just have to keep encountering it in the wild over and over. You only have to reset if it’s a static encounter like a legendary or a Pokémon someone gives you like a starter or a gift Pokémon.
I guess you mean full odds hunting, in which case no, you just need to run in the grass for hours and hours until you run into a shiny, there are things like breeding and pokeradar that could help but you don't need to reset your game at all, just keep getting encounters. Soft reseting is a series of button presses that reset the game without turning the console off, just google "nintendo ds soft reset buttons" and you'll get what are they.

It took me about 1 hour of resetting
Considering the shiny rate in gen 1 is 0%, your description is incorrect
Brother shiny alos exists in gen 1 don't what you talking but you after transferring them to later games can prove to reveal its shinyness
Is there a website where I can type in my trainer ID and it will tell me if it works or not?
its not just your trainer id that has to be “right”
I did this to three games. The time it took varied but my first try took about a day and a half and my last try took about 3 hours. It's mostly just resetting to a clock
Hey man I have a problem I want to do the glitch but I don't have a mac to use the eon calculator or the other program what else could I use ????
I don't know of any way to do it on a Mac
Im boutta use this to slug out some nasty hours tryna catch the king of the pond Magikarp at the resort. Wish me luck.
I do not intend on starting any games over but on my second day of playing Pokemon Pearl a shiny Budew appeared. A few times I had gotten some shiny Pokemon as my fifth Pokemon through the Poke Radar. Should I just try Cute Charm and see what happens?
Yes. Yes you should.
Okay I’m having a hard time figuring out the right TID and SID for the cute charm glitch to work.
Do I just need the ID that was shown from the examples for this to work or no?
I just want to know if there’s a specific TID and SID and PID for the glitch to work
My trainer ID is 16111 by the way or in other words 3EEF in hexadecimal
Which for binary code is 11111011101111
So does the trainer id / secret I'd actually help you get shinys = you want to change it for example or does it just work together with it normally
Am i supposed to use the pokemon ID of the jigglypuff or??
I have a cute charm platinum and wow is it fun. Only took 6 total hours of RNG manipulation attempts to get the ID I wanted, 00200
Is their tutorials on how to learn this ?
@@joebranco2731 yeah, I learned from a channel called im a blisy.
This happened to me in soul silver. I don't know how but it was right around the time I transferred a Skitty from the pokewalker. I was running into a ton of shiny Pokemon and it was permanent. It happened after I would turn off the game too. I don't know how it happened though. Someone stole that copy from me 😞
lmao how long ago was it stolen, and where did you get it stolen?
@@luischajewski6899 I was in highschool and I never figured who it was but I'm sure it was someone in my friend group. I don't usually lose things 🥺
@@AlexsaurusRex are you in the US, and if so what state?
@@luischajewski6899why? Lmao are you gonna give legal advice or something for that
i didn't understand anything that is soooo complicated, that my mind want TNT to blow up math of the id's on front of Satoshi Tajiri jesus christ is so diffuclt to learn a god damn glitch with the most not noticed pokémon Jigglypuff ( and counting the others that have this abillity, Cleffa, Clefairy, Clefable, Skitty, Delcatty, and Loppuny including the Jigglypuff evolution line on exception Minccino and Sylveo-...oh wait.. these are from gen 5/6...Ooops doopsie) (maybe Loppuny that is a bit noticed and is from gen 4)
what the best TID/SID combo? id like to edit it in pksm
There is no "best tid/sid" combo
Does it work with gift Pokemon? Bede’s Eevee, Fossil Pokemon, etc
I think this is cool to learn about. But I don't understand the binary code stuff. But I'm glad some ppl are good with understanding basic computer science stuff like that.
I'll just try the cute charm method mostly. I forgot that it had that affect in Gen 4 with finding pokemon of the opposite gender.
And if I ever decide I want to try this Shiny Method calculating I'll do so when I eventually reset my Ruby Cartridge.
This glitch is gen 4 only.
oooh i have like 3 copies of diamond, i should definitely set this up on one of them...... itd take a long time but itd be so rewarding
If I have a shiny charm ID but am not looking to exploit the glitch at the current moment can I still soft reset for stationary Pokémon with the 4th gen default shiny odds?
Is a gen 4 TID 07761 good? All these numbers got me co fused
Does the cute charm glitch work on the drifloon at will works ?
I subscribe because of this video thanks bro 😎
This might’ve been worth it if Legends Arceus didn’t make it possible to get nearly all of these shinies pretty quickly in mass outbreaks
this video was also uploaded before legends arceus came out
what does legends arceus matter when you can't transfer those pokemon outside of that game? small brain.
@@heyy-yaa it’s compatible with home
@@heyy-yaa no need to be rude for no reason
Just curious, if you hit an even delay, can you name yourself anything and just hit “ok” without doing any extra case buttons?
Could this stack with radar chaining? I know it would be pointless but still cool nonetheless.
Idk will i do this or not the downsides is it makes shiny not special
Question. I'm trying to get a tid for cutecharm, once I get it do I automatic have to have a cute charm pokemon or can I wait to get to the Mansion to get one in Pearl
I don't understand your question too well but I recommend looking at "im a blisey"'s channel they explained it really well over there
@@forrestpilled So, when I do get the right id. Do I have to have a cute charm pokemon as soon as I get it, or can I wait until I get to a spot where I can catch one
@@chaytonnnn you can wait to catch your own but it's reccomended to have one lined up on another game that you can trade over!
@@forrestpilled Well I only have one gen 4 game so that's why I was wondering. Thank you
@@chaytonnnn Ofc! I wish you luck man!
I am guessing it doesn’t but does this work for gen 5?
this doesn't work on gen 5
Can you show RNG reporter or pokefinder tool on screen?
what about pokemon that are already 100% female? Like Cresselia for instance, would this "glitch" still work for her?
No
I might do this for fun on one of my gen 4 games.
Wait, so which ID numbers are good?
I know I can't try it, but I'm just curious and go to find Jigglypuff, I want the male one and after some encounter, a shiny Jigglypuff appear
I catch it tho, but of course the glitch doesn't start 😂
I'm happy, but more sad because there is no way for me to increase shiny odds in mobile emulator
I'm happy for you guys who can try it
I only can play ROM with increased shiny odds, but again, sadly there is not many of them
I only can find SacredGold and it silver version
Someday, there will be a way to increase shiny odds in mobile emulator. Someday I'll be happy too. Someday.
:')
Uhh there’s no difference for this kind of thing while playing on emulators lol if it works on the real game it’ll work on your mobile emulator too.
@@MerkhVision it need those software which only can be use on PC
While the glitch may work on any platform emulator, how am I supposed to do it without proper set up
l would say its likely faster just to soft reset or hatch for shinys, but it took 3 days for a shiny ho-oh in HG, and 3 WEEKS for tepig in B1
(that said, the best game to shiny hunt in is the alola games, because of the smaller pokedex makeing the shiny charm easier to get, + the masuda method and the 1 in 4000ish odds, makeing you able to find 0-2 shinys in 2-4 days (speaking from experience here)
It’s easier to hunt in the newer games, but having shinies in the older gens is better for a lot of people because it’s not as common and the sparkles are much cooler
I’d love to do this but no way am I erasing my save.
I hacked the ID... but still no luck XDD hahahaha, imma use your ID.
Did that work out for you
@ no it did not work, I had to really get into this. I am no longer playing but if I’m not mistaken I had to rng an ID then see it’s seed, when the number were ones I had greater chance for shinnies.
Very clear good job
does this work on JPN versions too?
Do I need to start over?
How close do the IDs have to be?
I ran in to 1 shiny in my whole life it was on leaf green and it was a pidgy and obviously it was my luck to run in to a shiny before i collected the pokeballs for professor oak 😢 i never seen another shiny since except for the ones i got through trading with friends
I'm using my phone (computer is busted) and I got 08444 is that good or bad?
Soft reseting is a series of button presses that reset the game without turning the console off, just google "nintendo ds soft reset buttons" and you'll get what are they.
ngl, ive been tryin to do the cute charm glitch on soulsilver but ive been having difficulty. 😕
I was gonna try this but I had reset my game earlier and got a shiny totodile in less than 20 resets🤯
Does it work for Eggs?
I think if i usr this glitch i wont be jwppy with shinies anymore. Its like pokemon go. When i see a shiny in go, i dont get that exited, its not rare
can you cute charm for shiny heatran?
I’m not sure, if it isn’t gender locked then it should work
Yes
Yes
This glitch is working in soul silver?
lmao of course i remember this exists after i started a new game and i dont want to reset
Is there a shiny charm in platinum?
