One time I was going for darkrai and I got stuck right at the end. The very last save and reset. I did and opened the menu did everything correctly, however the screen stayed black and there was an invisible wall on all four side of me. Do you know how I would get out of this situation? It’s been about 3 years since so I just deleted my profile and started over but I’m just curious if there’s a way to get out of that situation.

Just as a heads up: you don't have to do any of this tweaking to get Darkrai, you can get the events yourself. Using the DNS glitch, you're able to download the Mystery Gifts and catch them legitimately. I caught Shaymin using the tweaking glitch but Darkrai and Arceus through changing DNS

I did this glitch when I only had 3 badges. Fun fact, after catching darkrai, you have access to canalave city. Once in Canalave city, you can also access the pokemon league by using fly.
They most likely looked through the game's code and discovered its flaws and found a way to take advantage of it. Of course, this research may have happened right after the mistaken discovery of the void.

Well, the first void glitch with the door, i imagine someone never played Pokemon before, was in that room, wanted to head back, pressed A on the door in hopes it would open, and then he got the "Do you want to use Surf?" prompt. As for the tweaking, datamining. Lots of datamining. As for the route, lots and lots of maths and knowledge about the game.
It's kind of interesting actually! Most of these glitches have to do with arbitrary code execution. I'm not entirely sure about THIS glitch, but I know that's how the 8F glitch in Pokemon Red operates. You should look that one up too -- a LOT more than a wrongwarp is possible! Someone once coded the entirety of PONG within Red using it!
Imagine doing this and forgetting to do those last 11 steps and losing your save file with all of your shinies cause it corrupted *cries in corruption*
Going into the void when I was younger felt amazing. Cause there was this entire other world I never got to explore in the base game. After finding out that you could get darkrai by being in the void (I didn't know you needed a ticket for it and thought this was the only method) felt like I was getting this super secret pokemon completely secluded from the rest of the world. I had to use an action replay to even go into the void which made discovering darkrai that more surreal. One of the many reasons why this gen is my favorite.

I think I ended up transferring all of my brother's best pokemon to his White game and then resetting his HeartGold so I would be able to get the other Hoenn and Kanto starter pokemon to finally complete the Johto Pokedex. I still haven't got around to finishing that. I think it's because it was so far in the game and having to do it twice due to accidentally transferring my only Bulbasaur would be kind of tedious. I feel like I'll start the game up and be like, "What was I doing here?" I guess it's another task on the list of tasks I'll get to complete eventually...when I get the time.

In their original games they would just be legendary instead of mythical since there was no difference back then. Regardless there is no actual 'logic' involved in what makes a pokemon mythical instead of legendary, and since many people tent to call glitching the same as cheating this would still be seen as 'cheating' the game. The same is true for all gen 1, 2 and 3 mythical pokemon (since these are all 'legally' obtained with the Pomeg glitch in Pokemon Emerald). If you think about it it's kind of funny how mythical pokemon only started existing in generation 5, it being the first generation to have actual unobtainable pokemon without any cheats or hacks.

I know this is old, you might not ever read this. For a really long time, i was entirely lost in the void, go too far in any direction and the game would crash for me. I never knew what to do but i couldnt part with the pokemon on the cartridge, i tried everything to escape, to get out, but nothing would ever work. Years went by but i could never forget about the lost pokemon on the cartridge. I stumbled here to this video and decided to follow along with your steps, after i remembered where exactly i saved, right after the pokemon center portion. Somehow, after following along from there, after 3 years, i made it out of the void. All of my pokemon are still there and theyre safe and sound. I legitimately cried for a few hours finally able to see their faces again. You know not what youve done for me but i am so thankful that you made this video, and that its remained up. You have my undying gratitude, mine and my pokemons. Thank you so much (◍•ᴗ•◍)❤ -Nightmare

A long time ago, I used an action replay to go into the void in a location I can’t quite remember. I discovered an untextured city that had a layout that wasn’t used anywhere in the games.
PLEASE READ After completing the void glitch and catching Darkrai (or Shaymin) you may experience a glitch where it won’t allow you to to go to the union room. Once you go up the steps you’ll just walk back into the void. WHAT YOU NEED TO DO. Go to Jibilife City and enter the WFC building. The on with the globe in it. Once in there talk to the lady and go through all the dialogue as if you’re about to use the WFC club. And then after you save and enter, it should say that it WFC was shut down so you can use it so at that point just leave. Now if you go back to the Pokécentre you should be able to go to the union rooms again.

Damn this looks difficult just to get Darkrai. I remember as a teenager I ran i think to the right of full moon island through the the walls and through the void to find Darkrai. Took like 1-2 mins to find it new moon island.
Unruly Ezreal back in the day I had to use a clothes pin to walk with this glitch, like 5,000 steps in two directions (~13,000 total) and I finally got my mythical Pokémon
Btw you don't have to do the last 5 steps at the beginning. Just the tweaking part. You only have to go down up left and you can head to the glitched area
I would be totally shocked, do you know that terrifying feeling when you get bad news, i mean REALLY BAD news (example you just realized you forgot your bag in the Bus/train which was something valuable inside)that makes you feel literally electricity starting from your back running in your legs and anywhere else? It doesn't seem to have any detrimental effects apart from being unable to trade. And any Pokemon that have this on them...PUT THEM IN THEIR OWN BOX OR THEY WILL SPREAD IT TO OTHER POKEMON.)
After years i finally come across a video that makes sense- i thought i was crazy when i got stuck in the void by accident playing Platinum. I had just went to shaymin using the action replay, i dont remember exactly how it went but i know i booted up the game one day and everything was just.... gone. everything was black and i couldnt move, any direction i tried to go gave me the sound youd get bumping into a wall. i was pretty upset i had to restart the game entirely because nothing else worked (it was okay because i had played through it once before, but still) i couldnt find anything online at the time.... maybe i was just dumb and bad at googling, regardless, this is a pretty interesting find!! Pokemon glitches never fail to amaze me and im always glad to see it happens to other people, proving i wasnt going insane haha

This happened to me too! You probably already did a route. Just find a cave and use dig or an escape route. Then when you get back to jubilife, go to the wfc building southwest of jubilife. Talk to the lady and press exit, then try again. It happened to me too
I had an action replay back in the day. Definitely did some void exploring with it. Caught darkrai and shamin a lot easier than this but I couldn’t transfer them to the poke bank. I should try leveling darkrai up and making it forget pursuit
Holy shit, I remember staying up into the late hours of the night because I had discovered tweaking. Knowing you can get Darkrai in just minutes would have been a miracle, the best way to find Darkrai at the time was the method requiring you to move around 50,000 steps in one direction, and then another 50,000 in another direction (thank GOD for the pedometer), not a single step more or less otherwise the method wouldn't work. Yup, I spent around 4 hours after getting the tweak glitch to work to catch Darkrai. I had missed the event to get him myself and man I REALLY wanted him. Did some research on if there would be more events, learned there wouldn't be, then stumbled upon tweaking. Worth every second. Blew my friends' minds haha.
Darn, I salute the valiant effort put into all that counting and math behind the scenes. Luckily, I can walk thru walls and just get them. The only one I have not caught yet is arceus

I did this, got darkrai, went for shaymin, and overstepped one step..I went back a step, thinking it was fine since I did this before when getting darkrai and everything was fine. I then realized it wasn't when I did the next steps and it crashed.. I tried teleporting out to no avail.. then I remembered.. turnback cave.. you saw it so much in the void! Wait.. oh please, please, PLEASE!! have an escape rope. repel: 1 honey: 2 escape rope: 1 OMFG YES That saved me. Attempt #2 is a go Edit: It wasn't because I overstepped a step. I never "fixed" the pokemon center in my last route, so going there through the void crashed the game, while going there without the void pushed you into it (It thinks your still in the union room, so you step down into the void as though you were stepping out of the room)

Well, the first void glitch with the door, i imagine someone never played Pokemon before, was in that room, wanted to head back, pressed A on the door in hopes it would open, and then he got the "Do you want to use Surf?" prompt. As for the tweaking, datamining. Lots of datamining. As for the route, lots and lots of maths and knowledge about the game.

It's kind of interesting actually! Most of these glitches have to do with arbitrary code execution. I'm not entirely sure about THIS glitch, but I know that's how the 8F glitch in Pokemon Red operates. You should look that one up too -- a LOT more than a wrongwarp is possible! Someone once coded the entirety of PONG within Red using it!

Going into the void when I was younger felt amazing. Cause there was this entire other world I never got to explore in the base game. After finding out that you could get darkrai by being in the void (I didn't know you needed a ticket for it and thought this was the only method) felt like I was getting this super secret pokemon completely secluded from the rest of the world. I had to use an action replay to even go into the void which made discovering darkrai that more surreal. One of the many reasons why this gen is my favorite.
A trainer walking through the void would make a good comic.

So from what I remember, it involves messing with the system time on your DS...and setting it to IIRC midnight, or shortly before.

I think I ended up transferring all of my brother's best pokemon to his White game and then resetting his HeartGold so I would be able to get the other Hoenn and Kanto starter pokemon to finally complete the Johto Pokedex.
I still haven't got around to finishing that. I think it's because it was so far in the game and having to do it twice due to accidentally transferring my only Bulbasaur would be kind of tedious.

Due to this glitch, technically Darkrai, Shaymin, and Arceus aren't Mythical since you can get them without a wifi event in their original games

Deoxys is a mythical that can be obtained in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire without any events glitching or hacks.
In their original games they would just be legendary instead of mythical since there was no difference back then. Regardless there is no actual 'logic' involved in what makes a pokemon mythical instead of legendary, and since many people tent to call glitching the same as cheating this would still be seen as 'cheating' the game. The same is true for all gen 1, 2 and 3 mythical pokemon (since these are all 'legally' obtained with the Pomeg glitch in Pokemon Emerald).
If you think about it it's kind of funny how mythical pokemon only started existing in generation 5, it being the first generation to have actual unobtainable pokemon without any cheats or hacks.

I feel sick, bc i started back when crystal first came out. But Pearl was my bae
I know this is old, you might not ever read this. For a really long time, i was entirely lost in the void, go too far in any direction and the game would crash for me. I never knew what to do but i couldnt part with the pokemon on the cartridge, i tried everything to escape, to get out, but nothing would ever work. Years went by but i could never forget about the lost pokemon on the cartridge. I stumbled here to this video and decided to follow along with your steps, after i remembered where exactly i saved, right after the pokemon center portion. Somehow, after following along from there, after 3 years, i made it out of the void. All of my pokemon are still there and theyre safe and sound. I legitimately cried for a few hours finally able to see their faces again. You know not what youve done for me but i am so thankful that you made this video, and that its remained up. You have my undying gratitude, mine and my pokemons. Thank you so much (◍•ᴗ•◍)❤

A long time ago, I used an action replay to go into the void in a location I can’t quite remember. I discovered an untextured city that had a layout that wasn’t used anywhere in the games.
PLEASE READ
After completing the void glitch and catching Darkrai (or Shaymin) you may experience a glitch where it won’t allow you to to go to the union room. Once you go up the steps you’ll just walk back into the void.
WHAT YOU NEED TO DO.
Go to Jibilife City and enter the WFC building. The on with the globe in it. Once in there talk to the lady and go through all the dialogue as if you’re about to use the WFC club. And then after you save and enter, it should say that it WFC was shut down so you can use it so at that point just leave.
Now if you go back to the Pokécentre you should be able to go to the union rooms again.

It’s essentially moving your way through the map but you need to understand how many steps you are taking from one location to another
After years i finally come across a video that makes sense- i thought i was crazy when i got stuck in the void by accident playing Platinum. I had just went to shaymin using the action replay, i dont remember exactly how it went but i know i booted up the game one day and everything was just.... gone. everything was black and i couldnt move, any direction i tried to go gave me the sound youd get bumping into a wall. i was pretty upset i had to restart the game entirely because nothing else worked (it was okay because i had played through it once before, but still) i couldnt find anything online at the time.... maybe i was just dumb and bad at googling, regardless, this is a pretty interesting find!! Pokemon glitches never fail to amaze me and im always glad to see it happens to other people, proving i wasnt going insane haha

This happened to me too! You probably already did a route. Just find a cave and use dig or an escape route. Then when you get back to jubilife, go to the wfc building southwest of jubilife. Talk to the lady and press exit, then try again. It happened to me too
I had an action replay back in the day. Definitely did some void exploring with it. Caught darkrai and shamin a lot easier than this but I couldn’t transfer them to the poke bank. I should try leveling darkrai up and making it forget pursuit

Holy shit, I remember staying up into the late hours of the night because I had discovered tweaking. Knowing you can get Darkrai in just minutes would have been a miracle, the best way to find Darkrai at the time was the method requiring you to move around 50,000 steps in one direction, and then another 50,000 in another direction (thank GOD for the pedometer), not a single step more or less otherwise the method wouldn't work.
Yup, I spent around 4 hours after getting the tweak glitch to work to catch Darkrai. I had missed the event to get him myself and man I REALLY wanted him. Did some research on if there would be more events, learned there wouldn't be, then stumbled upon tweaking.
Worth every second. Blew my friends' minds haha.
They never released the event on diamond and pearl though.

I then realized it wasn't when I did the next steps and it crashed.. I tried teleporting out to no avail.. then I remembered.. turnback cave.. you saw it so much in the void! Wait.. oh please, please, PLEASE!! have an escape rope.

Edit: It wasn't because I overstepped a step. I never "fixed" the pokemon center in my last route, so going there through the void crashed the game, while going there without the void pushed you into it (It thinks your still in the union room, so you step down into the void as though you were stepping out of the room)
