Hello! I made this cake. It was absolutely fantastic, moist and perfect.! The steps take two days due to the white chocolate ganache sitting up overnight in the fridge but when it all came together the flavors were amazing. And please weigh your ingredients in grams-----it does make a big difference vs volume. I also used a standard blender for the ganache when it called for an immersion blender which I did not have. In addition, the ganache wasn't sweet enough for me after whipping to soft peaks so I carefully added 2 cups confectioner sugar in 1/4 cup increments and mixed on low speed with a hand mixer. Still not too sweet and just perfect for us! I did not trim any of the cake. I wish I could share a pic. I am so glad I took the time to make it. Thank you!

This is perfect! How easily does the ganache melt? Asking because it's REALLY warm here at the moment, but I wanted to make this for my mum's 60th in a few days 😅 would the ganache work for a vintage piping design or would I be better off using buttercream? Thank you! ❤❤
Being from the Southern United States, we use pecans in everything! I always toast mine before adding to a cake or batch of cookies. The flavor is more intense. Would I candy pecans the same way you did the walnuts? Thanks in advance and I hope you're feeling better! You look great as usual! Lisa
Did you use whipped cream or normal cream for making the ganach? Shall I use whipped cream instate of cream? And shall I use hazelnut instate of walnuts?
Suggestion: break each egg separately into one of those small bowls you used for the vanilla, before adding it to the creamed butter/sugar. That way, no shells or bad eggs get into your cake.
I was asked by my neighbour to make this cake, the recipe I followed to the exact measurements! Sadly the cake came out bitter,, not sweet enough and the ganache too. However, I’ve made at least x3 of your other recipes and they were really tasty! I’m trying to work out why as I used Nescafé fine coffee.

Thanks so much! :D And the frosting is essentially a stabilised whipped cream, so in very hot weather it'll be okay to leave out in a room that has air conditioning on, but will need to be kept in the refrigerator overnight :) In terms of the cupcakes, I haven't tried this recipe as cupcakes myself but I don't imagine it being a problem! Just the cooking time will be shorter so I would suggest checking the cupcakes around the 18-20 minute mark and going from there :) Hope you enjoy the recipe!
