Nice I bought it and looks like I am going to love it, I wish you went over some features and benefits. Never read manuals I wanted to know how to answer a coming in phone call. You didn’t cover that, It’s OK, I figured it out.
One question. Can it be used with android auto when it's closed of do you have to open it up? This is one thing that has me of the fence about this phone. I use it in my car all the time. Thanks!
I know, right? I like smaller phones over bigger, however I have a feeling Samsung isn’t making their phones small because they’d be accused of copying iPhone.
I’m really on the fence with going back to the old flip style. An happy tech companies are rebooting old styles. But I have read the bad reviews and most of them are because the screen is cracking an Samsung won’t honor the warranty to fix it. So I’m holding out on getting one for a few years until they perfect it a bit more

$699 for mine from Best Buy for Verizon. Only have had it maybe 2 weeks. It’s my phone for work but so far so good. No problems with the screen and sometimes I forget to charge it. When I'm texting, every time I type a word or letter, the notification would pop up. I turned off all notifications to no avail. Texting is unbearable, notification window constantly pops up.
Those are excellent reasons for buying one. Most regrettably, it does not come with a usable printable User Manual with an Index. What good are all the features and customization choices when can't find them or worse can't figure out how to make them work? At that price level a usable User Manual has to be available. Clicking around/swiping or watching numerous UA-cam videos is not the way to learn how to use it.
That's how people do it now... youtube or Google. Plus, I mean if you're gonna get a phone like this... or just an advanced Smartphone, I would think you should know how to get around the phone and figure things out without a User Manual... Samsung were doing amazing trade in deals so I only paid £750 for the grey 256gb model with a year's free insurance. They gave me £250 for an S10e with a cracked screen. Unbelievable good value for a Flip 3.

I have this phone but I can't download backgrounds from other sites and use them. I think it's because my laptop doesn't have a c port adapter. Other than that, I really like the phone.
I have an Iphone SE right now and the battery life is terrible. So the battery life in any new phone I buy will definitely be a deal breaker for me. I want a phone where the battery life last at least all day.
This whole video had this feeling of trying hard to think why is it ok to own this thing while huge buyers remorse is creeping in. I wanted to like this phone. Local carrier has it for bit less than 700€ atm. Sadly same pricepoint gives better options for camera, screen, battery life and charging. this phone is a decent flagship with mostly the form going fot it. even that is a plus and a minus. my opinion atleast.
Beware it cracking in the center and samsung refusing to fix because accelerometer data shows its been dropped at some point during its lifespan in my possession. Normal use, if you've had a good experience; great. But for 1k phone I paid outright and their refusal to fix it, can make me confidently say I wouldn't get this phone when it's a very obvious flaw.
Devil's advocate here. 5 months in there are still some things I love about this phone. But, as easy as I am on my phones, this one is broken already. To be honest, this is THE MOST MAGNETIC PHONE I've ever owned. Yes. I said magnetic. Paper clips, staples, any small, metal item will stick to this phone both on the outside screen and the inside edges. I am a bookkeeper by trade. So staples are around at any given time. I believe a staple got attached to my phone screen before I put it in my pocket. When I took it out, the screen was broken. I never found the staple or anything that might cause a puncture in my pocket or on my screen unless it fell when I opened it. WHY is this phone so damn magnetic if the screen is so delicate???? 🤔 🤷♀️ I have NO idea. Also, the built-in screen protector is cracked at the fold. In 5 months. 😡 Also, there have been some technical issues before the phone screen broke - screen going blank, charging issues, and unresponsive screen. I'm NOT happy with this phone at all. I'm trading it in for an S22 Ultra and it can't happen fast enough.
@@Junispro31 ok. Fine. It's still an absolutely idiotic combination. I've had my S22U since release day and haven't missed the Z-FLOP3 for a single second. I'm glad Verizon gave me $1k for that POS as a trade-in!
I'm EASY on my phones. When you're used to phones lasting without ANY issues, like all my other Samsung phones, then you get a complete DUD like the Z-Flip3, it's aggravating. Besides the magnetic properties, the unresponsive screen, the cracked screen protector, the fact that the screen would just go blank from time to time... All those things are inexcusable for a $1k phone that's less than 6 months old. Add in the magnetic properties and that makes it even worse. Those are all design flaws and should be covered by the manufacturer. Yet they aren't. NO THANKS. 👎
@Janet Wilson I understand your frustration. And it's perfectly fine to prefer a normal bar phone instead. Not everybody exposes their phones to the same environment as you do, me for example has a fold 3 and normally my pocket is free from anything Magnetic. My keys are kept in my other pocket or in my bag. It is also a given that the phone is more fragile than other phones, so before buying one you need to consider if it's suitable. After all, Samsung is simply providing you the Option, whether to choose the S21/22 or the Folding phone its your choice.
As Samsung flip user don't buy this product. This will automatically damage from flip line in sometime and they will say it's not manufacturer damage. The screen is 30k when it's clearly manufacturer damage issue and no one will help ur case. Don't go on looks it's waste of money full battery issue and not at all durable phone.
After a decade of using iPhone, I finally purchased my 1st Android phone which is the Samsung Z Flip 3. After 2 months of using it, I placed it in my closet and purchased the 13 Pro Max. For me, it is only good when its folded as the phone gets pocketable. Battery life is one of the reasons why I decided not to use it anymore.

Im switching from iphone 11 to this one im excited nd also not just changing back to andriid cuz of the phone but i miss features from android nd anycase i end up not liking this phone ill be getting the samsung s21 + . my fiance has the s20+ nd its so good nd fast i love it.
People don't realize how locked down iPhones are because they only worry about selfies and social media but to real phone users Android is King
How you like it so far?
@@Pompom23. so far i love it , barely got about 3 months wit it.
Same to me miss the ability to customize my phone, just switched from 11 pro max to z flip 3 days ago
I've had this since Christmas, and im loveee🧡
This was very enjoyable. I have been thinking about purchasing this phone for quite some time. Thank you so much for this review. Great content!
I just saw your blog post of how you made your money back with this phone, gotta say I like how you write, you just earned yourself a subscriber!
Thank you so much🙏
I love holding this when it's just slightly folded, it's just easier for me to hold
have had my oneplus 7 pro for a while now and i can't decide if i want the flip 3 or fold 3! love the phantom green, i have wanted a green phone for so long and i've been happy to see lots of phones coming in various shades of green. i need to hurry up and decide between the two foldables so i can have it sooner haha
I got it from September and the only problem is that I charge 2 times per day . At 09:00 I got 90-95% at 15:00 o got 12% . It's not a phone for a heavy user .
There are a lot of ways of massively increasing battery life. For starters, turn off the 5G. That is a major drain as its always "seeking" a 5G connection (which frankly you don't really need). Second, consider switching the screen from 120mhz down to 60mhz. If you're gaming on it then you might notice a difference, but if you're like me and just mainly scrolling and reading, theres no difference and it REALLY helps your battery. Also, check which apps are always running in the background updating. You don't really need this on most of them, because they update as soon as you access them. Finally - dark mode on FB and Twitter is your friend.
I use my Flip3 a lot from disconnecting it from the charger around 7am. Most nights I've still got 20-40% juice left when I plug that sucker in again. If you leave it to the factory settings though, then yeah, your battery is going to be pretty creamed by 4pm with average usage.
@@davidrider2264 whats the reason to close 5G and 120 hz ? i paid to have them.. also when i say a heavy user , i dont mean scrolling or games . i mean mails . excel , power bi , MS list , Ms planner , teams calls and meetings etc .
@@spika1187 up to you chum. If you want your battery to last the day then these are the things you need to consider. If 5G / 120hz are essential for your daily usage then I suggest either get a charging pack, or choose another phone.
Personally, I can do without and happily use my phone without concern for the battery.
Just got mine for 400, plus tax so 440, has a crack on the camera lens but don't really care and doesn't effect photos.
Excited for it to arrive.
Thank you for your time and posting. IMO, Fold and Flip phones are the future and will dominate in 10 years. It is interesting. $1K for a phone. Who would ever have thought... Would be a norm. Samsung sells 1M and makes 1B.
FYI Buy the sticker hook for ur phone. It helps me not drop it, since my finger fits perfectly in it. I have carpal tunnel so I'm always dropping things. Yes it's like $30.00 but it's not going anywhere! My new puppy couldn't chew it off. I also use a long key chain ribbon to hook on it, I can put it around my neck or wrist and won't set it down and walk away in the store. I have ADD that's easy to do. The battery isn't smaller, I'm on u tube all the time!
I washed my S9 with insurance I still decided to buy this. T Mobile had a great sale after Christmas. I love mine 😇💘
How's your phone holding up til now? No issues on the screen? I too am looking for a smaller phone because big screens make my hands hurt.🥲
What a great way to start the video. I tell people all the time I love my iPad, but it's the main reason I use a samsung phone. For something different
I have the flip 3. Selling it next month and moving onto the fold
I have had this phone since October and have enjoyed the experience I switched from an IPhone XR and it was worth it I definitely recommend it
that selfie with the outer screen is cool tho. Instant Profile Picture Format
Nice I bought it and looks like I am going to love it, I wish you went over some features and benefits. Never read manuals I wanted to know how to answer a coming in phone call. You didn’t cover that, It’s OK, I figured it out.
The new one will be dropping soon, hopefully the performance will be better to accommodate for the battery life.
Agreed.
Do you have any idea when? Flip 3 price will drop when they release a new one. That may be the best time to buy at a discounted price.
@@MaryJane-ld2js I heard it will be announced june/july but it wont drop till few months after that, I could be wrong tho.
@@MaryJane-ld2js Yes its on discount with a samsung watch 4 for free. I just ordered mine

One question. Can it be used with android auto when it's closed of do you have to open it up? This is one thing that has me of the fence about this phone. I use it in my car all the time. Thanks!
You can use Android auto with it closed
I really want them to release a shorter one when unfold, I don't think it needs to be that large
I know, right? I like smaller phones over bigger, however I have a feeling Samsung isn’t making their phones small because they’d be accused of copying iPhone.
@@india7114 never stopped Samsung before….
Its fantastic for watching sports on landscape mode. Long live the large!
I’m really on the fence with going back to the old flip style. An happy tech companies are rebooting old styles. But I have read the bad reviews and most of them are because the screen is cracking an Samsung won’t honor the warranty to fix it. So I’m holding out on getting one for a few years until they perfect it a bit more
Samsung would not like me I would be harassing them saying I paid for the warrenty explain what it covered and if they refuse report them to the BBB. Cause the reason people payfor a warrenty is for things like thay
i'm interested in this phone also but not quite sure about it at the same time 🤔

I got one for 840$ CAD brand new, that's 650 USD, directly from my provider and it's a great experience so far.
How can I get one
I've been sceptical of a folding screen for a while. Can someone just tell me if the crease is a problem.
Technically no... i cant even notice the crease while using it just when you're looking for it if you get what i mean? But if jm watching i definetely am having a hard time finding the crease so that's awesome really... the only issue of the this folding phone i think is that i just cant be at peace probly cause of my paranoia that it may break or will have some issue on the hinge? Lol
@@yahying1010 i also feeling the same, because there are a few comment saying that their phone suddenly create a line at the crease. I guess because sometimes people tend to put their phone underneath the pillow and its putting pressure to the phone. Still even If i don't do that, I always scared that will happen🥶🥶
Mine is cracking already. But i think its the screen saver..im taking it to Verizon to have them look at it
@@TC-tw5zk really? What happen? Is it because u accidentally press pressure on it?
@@TC-tw5zk oh no! What happened? Please keep us posted...
$699 for mine from Best Buy for Verizon. Only have had it maybe 2 weeks. It’s my phone for work but so far so good. No problems with the screen and sometimes I forget to charge it. It always makes it through the night. Now with fast charging I don’t see what the big deal is. 20-25 mins on the charger while on the way work and I’m good all day. To me the issue with the phone is it’s a slippery as a greased up turd. Super easy to drop so get yourself a good case. I probably wouldn’t have just an android phone as my only phone but it is definitely redeeming to have. The little screen on the front is the best. Overall it is awesome phone. I’ll be looking forward for the Flip 5!
i was also considering buying this phone through Best Buy for $699, i'm just not sure it more gimmicky
then practical? 🤔
I just bought it yesterday. Coming in February 15. It’s gonna be my first flip phone ever!!!!!

Your watch band matches the phone 😍😍 love it
i want this phone so bad but the price kinda stops me. before anyone comments, no i've never spent over $700 on a phone. thats the highest price i've paid for a phone
Where did you get the wallpaper?
in 2022 i can wait until august or september and buy z flip 4 not z flip 3
loved my flip until android 12 as now samsprung app won't work so I can't use my apps on my small screen not only was it convenient it cut battery usage in half. Why do Samsung not add there own feature where you can access your apps from the small screen 🤷♂️
Factory reset, also Samsung is stupid with that kinda stuff
You can it’s called goodlock
I wanna switch from iPhone to android i just switch from the 12 to 13 pro max and I just feel that it’s a bigger phone with a better camera and that’s boring ,
Would you recommend.this as a secondary device ??
Could someone help me on how to turn off the frigging annoying notifications window? There were several times that I almost destroyed my Flip phone. When I'm texting, every time I type a word or letter, the notification would pop up. I turned off all notifications to no avail. Texting is unbearable, notification window constantly pops up.
Just checking was my purchase good or not
I feel like this phone should of come out right after the flip phones. That would of be amazing. As it is now.
Witch icon-pack do you use?
Is there any charging speed improvement when charging wireless?
You are the Best man😊😊
Those are excellent reasons for buying one.
I know I never use those things anyway... but then again, this coming from a pretty tech-savy guy... lol.
@@Bryuk91 It appears that you are a young tech-savvy guy. However, for those of us who have interests in Life other than being tied to one's computer or "by guess and by gosh" maybe finding out about a feature, a User Manual/Reference Guide is needed.
@@Robert-yp9zs ... I don't know why you felt the need to say that when all I said/meant was it's just the way of some people nowadays, we don't need user manuals when everything to learn is basically on the internet.. that, and when it is common knowledge to most..
In no way a disrespect towards you, though. 🙂

Price yeah is a factor for buying a phone ... but people wouldn't have a problem spending the money only thing is the "BATTERY SUCKS"
How long does the battery last?
Does the flip 3 has the finger print detection to unlock the phone ? Thank you so much.

I feel you man, I don’t recommend this phone either, the screen won’t last a year
It's Magnetic because magnets are at both ends of the phone to keep it shut
Almost had me again Samsung… Just needs a better battery, stronger screen and better cameras. Then Im back.
Ur full of crap
I got mine for 400€ brand new whit galaxy watch 4

After a decade of using iPhone, I finally purchased my 1st Android phone which is the Samsung Z Flip 3. After 2 months of using it, I placed it in my closet and purchased the 13 Pro Max. For me, it is only good when its folded as the phone gets pocketable. Battery life is one of the reasons why I decided not to use it anymore.
