  • Welcome back to the Sheepdog Gear Corner everyone! Josh has been super excited to share this system for transporting and storing all the various different hunting and camping gear that we all collect!!
This set up has tons of bonuses including: better organization, ease of transport, protection of gear... all done while saving $100-1000s in comparable products "specialized for hunting/outdoors"!

(NOTE: I am not sure if the longer cart is still available? It appears there is a new 2.0 version of the square cart which I linked above! I would recommend visiting your home depot and playing with different combinations in person to get started!!)
We would love for you to subscribe to this channel to keep up to date on our future hunts and follow us on IG @sheepdog_conservation for all our other shenanigans.. thanks so much for watching!

We use the same cases for our gear. Actually we have those, a Roam case, some wolf packs, a couple of Milwaukee Packouts, and a Pelican case. I had planned to do a comparison video, but never got to it. Having them all, I can say that bang for the buck, Ridgid is by far the best choice on the market.

Great minds think alike! Thanks for watching!
I agree these ridgids are the best bang for buck! Got the idea using milwaukees for construction work, but even when using them for a job to make money they are quite a bit more spendy than the ridgids!

@@SheepdogConservation Right, Packout needs to be for wort to justify its cost. I have 2 of the small clear top Pack outs with the plate mounted the wall of my trailer with FAC, and common used gear like headlights. The only reason is they have the only solution for that need.

I siliconed the top of the lid and made it waterproof. Really easy

Have you had any regrets with the crate since it’s not waterproof? I’ve been thinking of using these boxes for camping since they’re water and dust proof and budget friendly. Great video! I’d be interested to see how you pack some of the other kits you mentioned at the end of the video too. Thanks so much!

Thanks for commenting! No regrets with the crate but the 3-4 I have are ones that wouldn't see much field usage, if they do leave the house they normally stay in the truck or tent more than the other boxes! Thinking about getting another one for my actual work tools and gear to stay in my truck during the week.. weekend warrior life! 😂
I have a few archery/arrow videos that I'm working on but if people request like you did I am more than happy to revisit old videos!

@@SheepdogConservation Thanks so much for responding! A little tip I found for a kaizen foam alternative is to order the foam replacement for the Apache cases at Harbor Freight. They have a replacement parts section for each one. The Apache 5800 (Pelican 1510 equivalent) replacement foam is only $25. Depending on the dimensions and how much you need, that might end up being a cheaper alternative to look at as you continue making more kits. Keep up the great work on your videos!
