@thepoolguyml I also have a Riptide and the cool thing is with the short impeller and heavy duty net bag, I can blind vac before shock/floc. (Instead of a manual net session). Goggles and toys could still possibly get tangled in there but it's less of an issue with the short impeller. Holla at your boy if you're ever in NW Florida 😆☀️ J.P. Emerald Pool & Spa 🤘🏽😁🤘🏽

All the settled algae would go back in the pool and cloud it up. He'd have to wait for it to settle back down and vac again. Can't really see the algae in this video but it's on the leaves and under them and the more fine bits are just on the pool floor. You can see it properly in his other videos.

Question: I know youve said you dont like to do a floc treatment because of the "floaters" and because its too easy to stir it all up and get a cloudy mess, so why did you floc this pool? And what is your usual alternative if you don't decide to floc?

Why not have the hose filling the pool at the same time you are cleaning it? OR overfill it first anticipating losing water to the waste. Minimize the chance of the water level falling below the skimmer. And your net also works underwater too. Could have got the majority of those leaves using a net with only some slight disturbance to the bottom of the pool.
