The reason why Mrs. Weasley forgot which platform the Hogwarts Express was on? Because she saw a young boy, seemingly lost, at Kings Cross, with a carriage full of luggage and a caged owl perched on top. Not wanting to be rude (in case his parents were there, but just busy or something), she pretended to not know it, near said lost boy. If he needed help, he might approach them, and Mrs Weasley wpuld be more than happy to help.
This is definitely the reason as most kids wouldn’t go up to a stranger if they had nothing to do with them but Harry learnt they did because they were going the same places
In response to Mrs. Weasley‘s asking of the platform number, I believe she was just saying it to make sure her kids knew it, like a teacher saying “ now what’s 5+3 again?”
Dumbledore saying "Severus Please" wasn't acting, it was asking Snape to do what they agreed upon. He wasn't saying "Severus, please (spare me)" He was saying "Severus Please (kill me like you promised to do for me.) That is what made that line brilliant.
Exactly. He was asking Snape to go ahead and kill him as they had agreed, and to not hesitate. Obviously, he did this knowing that the Death Eaters and Harry would misinterpret it as him begging for his life.
In the german dubbed version, Snape's last line is "You have your mothers eyes, Harry" and I really like that they added his first name to show that Snape really did care for him in the end
*spoilers* When Dumbledore said "Severus please', it wasn't just to make Snape look good in front of the Deatheaters. He knew it was just a matter of time and was pleading with Severus to finish what they had agreed upon. He had chosen his time to go.
The '' Severus.. please.." I always thought to have the underlying meaning of: ''please Severus, do it so Draco doesn't have to". Especially because they talked together about the importance of Draco not tainting his soul
I think that was somewhat the point JK was trying to get across! She sort of disguised it as if Dumbledore were begging for his life. It would appear this way to the Death Eaters and they wouldn’t be suspicious. But Dumbledore was secretly telling Snape to go through with the promise because it had to be done. He was giving him that last bit of reassurance that what he (Snape) was going to go would work out to be for the right reason.
Sad fact: when Harry came back from the dead in DH2 George turned to his side to tell Fred but he didn’t see anyone because he forgot Fred had died (You can see that in the film if you look closely at George)
My take on Dumbledore's last line while alive is that he's begging Severus to kill him. Severus had expressed ambivalence about carrying out Dumbledore's wishes. I think Dumbledore was afraid Severus would chicken out at the last minute and asked him once again, "please."
I think it also had to do with that your soul gets damaged/corrupted when you kill someone in Harry Potter. When Snape got asked by Dumbledore to kill him, so that Draco's soul wouldn't get damaged, Snape replied: "What about my soul". To which Dumbledore replied: “You alone know whether it will harm your soul to help an old man avoid pain and humiliation,” said Dumbledore. “I ask this one great favor of you, Severus, because death is coming for me as surely as the Chudley Cannons will finish bottom of this year’s league. I confess I should prefer a quick, painless exit to the protracted and messy affair it will be if, for instance, Greyback is involved - I hear Voldemort has recruited him? Or dear Bellatrix, who likes to play with her food before she eats it.” Dumbledore probably said please, to make sure that Snape got reminded that he wanted it like this, to prevent Snape to damage his soul
I interpreted Dumbledore saying " severus, please" as him pleading with severus to keep his word and kill him rather than him trying to help snape keep up appearances
I really appreciate how he did the main characters first instead of waiting till the end and making us wait- even tho l know we could’ve skipped- it’s just nice cuz most channels will wait till the end to do the main characters to make ppl watch the whole video.
About Dumbledore's final line when living, I don't think that was acting. While it might have come accross as a plea for Snape not to kill him, I think it was a plea for Snape to follow through with their plan.
I think it's probably a combination of both, because he obviously wanted the Death Eaters to think Snape was on their side but he also wanted to make it clear to Snape what he had to do. He only said "please" to keep the true meaning ambiguous.
I honestly prefer Sirius's last line in the movies "nice one James" it shows how much he misses his friend and how similar harry and James are, even though " come on, you can do better than that " shows his sense of humor I guess it hurts knowing that that biych did do better and killed him

I disagree strongly bc Draco had parents who didn’t really care for him and he had to betray his friends just so that Voldemort won’t kill his parents.
In my opinion, i feel like in the end his parents insanity made him stronger as the books go on, because while he at first is super insecure, he then realizes that his parents went insane by the crutacius curse because they wouldn’t give up information and Neville realized that he wanted to be like them, he wouldn’t go down without a fight.
Exactly. I always found it sad how they would never see each other again. Despite their indifference and rivalry, I’m very happy that they left on a better note. It just pained me how Vernon was too petty and weak to even recognize this. Even if he or Harry wouldn’t feel better leaving on a good note as they weren’t on good terms, it would’ve been better. Petunia’s final line is satisfactory. Just completely leaving everything behind like that is something you can’t forget. It reminds me of Hermione and her parents. She gave up a part of herself that she could never get back. It makes me sad to think of her parents not even knowing who she is.

Luna’s line distracting everyone is so Harry can go under the cloak and talk to Ron and Hermione in private. Voldemort’s already dead. The only one who knew Harry was going to the forest was Neville.
When I think of Dumbledore saying “Severus Please” it’s not acting, it’s him seeing that Snape is in anguish and struggling to kill him, and he’s asking him to please kill him
@Malaska no that’s my point, I don’t think he’s saying please don’t kill me as an act, I think he’s genuinely saying Severus please kill me as he can see that he’s struggling to do it
What's sad is how the majority of these lines didn't make it to the movies. Ron's last line says a lot about his character and should 100% have been included.
7:39 I love how it flashes Molly's last quote on screen, but the footage of the movie in the background still shows her saying "NOT MY DAUGHTER YOU B*TCH*
Honestly, I never read Albus's line "Serverus...please..." as acting. What I saw and heard was Dumbledore begging for Snape to continue the plan, the please wasn't to save his life, the please was to end it, the greatest and biggest thing he ever asked from Snape.
I think dumbledores last line was him genuinely pleading, but not for his life. He wanted Severus to do as they had planned to help him avoid a humiliating death, to prevent Malloy from becoming a murderer when he clearly didn’t want to kill dumbledore and to help snape get in better with Voldemort (make him more trustworthy to help with the plan). I think he was worried snape wouldn’t do it cos they had been arguing in the Forrest where snape said he didn’t want to be the one to do kill him anymore.
And also because Severus was hesitatant to kill him. He didn't want to take away the life of his mentor, the only one who knew the truth and treated him for who he is. (And I would say it was a friendship, eventually, even though there is a huge debate on that matter.)
@letter foryou are yiu really that nikpicky? That's just depressing... who gives a flying fuck when we all know what they're talking about, at that point, it doesn't matter
Haha Malferret's last line was begging a Death Eater that he was on their side, just 10 minutes after the trio saved his arse in the Room of Requirement. What a pathetic little wimp.
@@the_pheoniks bruh she confirmed its canon when she said that when the horcrux inside harry was destroyed he couldnt speak parseltounge anymore all of a sudden harry can speak parseltounge in the cursed child even though he doesnt have the horcrux?
I always felt like Dumbledores, "Severus please." Line was meant as Dumbledore nonchalantly asking Snape to go through with killing him since they were such good friends and it was important for his plan that Snape kill him instead of Malfoy.
"Severus, please." I think Dumbledore really was pleading with Snape, telling Snape that he had to do this, he had to kill him no matter how much Snape didn't want to.
This!!! Which is, in my opinion, what makes this the most interesting bit of dialogue in the series. The first time you hear it you think he’s begging for his life, something you never thought you’d hear Dumbledore do-it’s a strange moment of weakness. But the second time you re-watch/re-read, you know he’s pleading with Snape to go through with the plan as discussed and to kill him because he could tell Snape was wavering.
I mean, I was totally aware of it before but not until this compilation did I truly realize how early a lot of big characters have their final sentence, there's so much more of the ending to go when plenty of big characters have already uttered their final words.

_“Had a good summer, Luna?” Ginny asked._
_“Yes,” said Luna dreamily, without taking her eyes off Harry. “Yes, it was quite enjoyable, you know. You’re Harry Potter,” she added._
_“I know I am,” said Harry._
And the part when I cracked up as when:
_Neville chuckled. Luna turned her pale eyes upon him instead._
_“And I don’t know who you are.”_
_“I’m nobody,” said Neville hurriedly._
I love how you warn us about spoilers like people haven't seen/read the series already
I haven’t read the books yet well I’m on book 3 but I still watch these vids
We're into a generation where it cannot just be guaranteed everyone has read them.
Hey. I just got done watching the movies for the first time. And i havent even read all the books but im still here because i like spoilers
Multiple times.
I haven’t but I don’t mind I’m on the second last movie
Neville was one of bravest characters in the series, despite the fact that his parents were driven to insanity when he was very young........
You are right
why are you saying despite the fact? cus what your saying is exept the fact the his parents where driven insane
I disagree strongly bc Draco had parents who didn’t really care for him and he had to betray his friends just so that Voldemort won’t kill his parents.
@@emerypotts9554 oh no, another draco simp
In my opinion, i feel like in the end his parents insanity made him stronger as the books go on, because while he at first is super insecure, he then realizes that his parents went insane by the crutacius curse because they wouldn’t give up information and Neville realized that he wanted to be like them, he wouldn’t go down without a fight.
Can we appreciate that movie flame has been making these videos for us for 11 years?!
Everyone’s talking about Ron, Dobby and other very important characters, but I am personally focused on Dudley’s last lines.
“See you Harry.”
@@hayleyc643 if it makes you feel better she does go looking for them after and gets their memories back.

Can we all take a moment to appreciate that Luna knew Harry was about to go to his death, yet helped him because she knew she couldn’t stop him.
Luna’s line distracting everyone is so Harry can go under the cloak and talk to Ron and Hermione in private. Voldemort’s already dead. The only one who knew Harry was going to the forest was Neville.
@@JT117 yup
When I think of Dumbledore saying “Severus Please” it’s not acting, it’s him seeing that Snape is in anguish and struggling to kill him, and he’s asking him to please kill him
@Malaska no that’s my point, I don’t think he’s saying please don’t kill me as an act, I think he’s genuinely saying Severus please kill me as he can see that he’s struggling to do it
Oh damn I just commented that. Better delete it because people will think I copied u but I didn’t I swear!
In case you didn’t know, when Dumbledore said Severus Pls it was because he wanted snape to kill him and was pleading him since snape was reluctant
winkey's was just heart breaking winkey was so innocent

What's sad is how the majority of these lines didn't make it to the movies. Ron's last line says a lot about his character and should 100% have been included.
Can we take a moment to appreciate the fact that all of these lines had really good voice acting to go with them
7:39 I love how it flashes Molly's last quote on screen, but the footage of the movie in the background still shows her saying "NOT MY DAUGHTER YOU B*TCH*
Kreacher’s character development 📈📈
Yeah
He has a change with his first and last lines like Neville
Respect that he didn't include their Cursed Child lines for some of them.
I legit started crying during when you showed Lupin's last line and then even harder when you showed Lily's last movie line "Always" 😢😢😢
Honestly, I never read Albus's line "Serverus...please..." as acting. What I saw and heard was Dumbledore begging for Snape to continue the plan, the please wasn't to save his life, the please was to end it, the greatest and biggest thing he ever asked from Snape.
I think it also meant “Please Severus,do it so Draco doesn’t have to…”
@@cloudysama404 that's how I saw it
I have my online exam in half an hour...and here i am watching MovieFlame's video.
Bellatrix: Avada Kadavra!
Snape: Avada Kadavra...

How heartful it is to wrap it up for Dobby that way

You must have put so much efforts to find these lines in the books and the movies.....really like your work.....keep making these amazing videos😊
The impression you gave on each line shows why you're my favorite youtuber.

For the “Severus please” I always assumed it was because Snape still not sure if he would do it but Dumbledore was begging him to kill him
"come on, you can do better than that!"
*fricking kills him*
I mean, I was totally aware of it before but not until this compilation did I truly realize how early a lot of big characters have their final sentence, there's so much more of the ending to go when plenty of big characters have already uttered their final words.
Anyone else prefer Molly’s movie line as opposed to the book one when she’s fighting Bellatrix? Or is that just me
What line is it?
