- “Famous Blue Raincoat” is one of my many favorite Cohen songs, and I have been playing it at my shows for some time now.
So excited to finally share this cover with the world ❤️

I swear I think God drops whatever he/she is doing whenever Eivor sings. Can make a very strong argument that her feel for the msuic and 7 octave range cannot be matched. Ever.

I always thought Cohen's songs don't work when somebody else is covering them (and yes, I'm including Jeff Buckley here). But this is the exception. It's incredible. Eivør is incredible.

Eivør covers Cohen's "Famous Blue Raincoat" in the same way kd lang covers his "Hallelujah": Impeccable, masterful, and touching. I've never heard better, and I love Cohen And Eivør.
Sometimes the muses gift somebody with all their magic. Eivor has it in spades.

@@marko86mk She sang it very well, but I've always had a problem with the change of lyrics to a '3rd party observer' (treated "Some woman"...?). Totally loses the personal heartache of the song. Tori Amos did do it justice over a Bösendorfer though. I just found this one and I loove it.
Discovering your music was the best accident to ever happen to me. I love your voice and the way you transport your feelings to the songs. My only complaint is that you don't have a bigger audience. I mean, come on!

Always liked this song but I have never felt this level of emotion listening to it. I was actually tearing up at the end. Can't even explain why. Her voice is chilling and was made for this!
Or this was made for her voice..😊 There are songs in the World that you instantly feel natural with listening to. So natural in fact that it’s almost as if they weren’t composed, as if they’ve always been around and some lucky musician accidently stumbled upon them. Eivør has quite a few songs like that in repertoiré.

I first heard Eivor some years ago when I purchased a boxed set of mixed artists from Scandinavia. She blew me away completely. Still does.
She is a very rare talent. Her vocal range and clarity is up there with Loreena McKinnett .

Wow...great performance. Truly satisfying. Beautiful song, one of my favorite Cohen tunes, and one of the scariest songs I've ever heard. Always takes me right to the middle of one of my deepest fears and always leaves me wondering if I, too, could ever find a space of gratitude and finally accept and forgive. This performance really nailed it.

I've seen her twice in concert, the 1st time I was just like wt..?? because of her beautiful voice and her enchanting music. I closed my eyes cos the feeling was so powerful I could feel it in my very core and I wondered how was possible not to know her music for a long time. By the 2nd time I knew all of her songs and I felt even happier cos I was so close to the stage and I admire her just as Would stare at an angel. The guys are amazing as well, she has a super great team! Her concerts are not too big but to be honest I love it this way cos you feel more intimate and is just another lever, honestly.
