Consider the ribs and torso as the roots of the limits for the shoulder.
You may want to try Kayak Elbows:
*Standing, Forward Paddling Kayak Elbows (forward and back)* , Back Rib Breathing

Definitely doing the other side, for me , i was able to this further to help to lengthen my sides and torsoBut idid this the upper back ,some chest movements and my left shoulder which has bb een giving me, much challanges ,recently both seem tohurt, but, my left clicks or thump's and is giving wont move wellor pain too, my right doesnt move to good ,because of my brain injury.
i dont know what move it needs, but, i keep trying.
This and the glenoid fossa, i think are interesting, moves.

I think you should re-visit any of the movements that take you to the uncertainty.
Free the torso first, which includes ribs.... then shoulder blades.... then shoulder.
Clear both sides. Contraction on the opposite side may have a lot to do with it.
      Side bend.
Consider trying a few days of this:
*Un-Twist, an Intermediate Practice Sequence,* 24m:56s Pandiculation to get unstuck from twist and rotation. The first 4m:28s has a 'good enough' twisting assessment.Side Bend, Teacup, X of the Front + Sunrise, Sunset, Angel Wing
