    I heard the opposite about stride. If too big it causes back pain which I have been experiencing. So, I shortened it more than what you showed, keep legs closer together, do the shoulder movement and I was pain free. Now that's me. 🤔Different strokes for different folks. Stay healthy peeps!

      All I know is that you should try to put more landing force to the front of your foot in that way you have a lot of correct muscles acting as a shock absorber , 2. Make sure that you finish your stride by pushing you foot as back as possible 3. Walk straight up not like a rapper, 4. Move your arms, 5 make sure that you can feel your butt muscles work as you walk . It takes a lot of practice but eventually you will get the hang of it. I hope that helps 🇿🇦

    I have cervical and spinal stenosis. So walking is one of the only exercising I can do one an everyday basis. I noticed that when I walk I lean slightly forward. It was causing me a great deal of neck and back pain. I was made aware of it through an article I read about people who walk a lot. So I've made an effort to walk more upright. Some pain still exist but when I make a concerted effort to walk correctly it lessens. I find if I tighten my stomach muscles it helps. Walking has helped me lose 99 lbs in 9 months. To me it's the best exercise there is especially if you have neck and back issues.

    first get flexibility on your hips, then use some hip extension in walking but don't go towards the end of the range because you may be overstressing the hip socket.. so don't squeeze the glutes too much towards the hip extension (when leg is almost behind you)

If you become a patreon, and ask a question, I can also create a video just for you answering your specific concern. Our phone number can be found on my website: www.camarillochiro.com. A phone consultation lasts 15 minutes and you can ask as many questions as you like during that time and speak to me directly. This is the best option when there are questions that involve more than a “yes” or “no” type of answer. Lastly, if you view my UA-cam channel, there is an area called “Playlists” where you can find sections on topics that you want such as blood pressure, core strengthening, cycling tourism, etc.

    I found out, that the only thing you actually have to focus on, is to tighten your foot. If you make sure to keep it tight every time you walk, you will naturally develop a completely different control of your nervesystem, and develop a natural correct walk, and excersise your whole body. If you focus on tighten your foot every time you walk, for two month your walk would have changed, and it will only approve the more you walk.

    • @RmnGnzlz
      @RmnGnzlz 5 років тому +2

      What does that even mean? How do you tighten a foot?

    • @nikolajrasmussen9573
      @nikolajrasmussen9573 5 років тому +2

      You'll just have to focus on your foot while walking, always make sure to balance and roll over the foot, and then push of with the front of your foot. In the beginning you'll use more energy, and maybe feel like your walking a little wobbly, but if you concentrate on using your foot properly and make sure to push of on the ground when you walk, the rest will follow naturally :)
      Try to put som weight on one hand, and then push with the fingers, without bending your hand. Then you can feel the muscle tighten through your arm. It's the same when you lean on your foot, it should activate all the muscles in your body, but it will take some persistency in the first couple of month to get them activated properly.
