I enjoy your UA-cam channel a hell of a lot more than the Vegas Rat Rod show no network involvement and crazy drama anymore. That Dodge is exactly what I like in your builds no fancy restoration just a good old work truck with all the modern touches.
Love the truck, Steve! I am a die-hard Dodge guy and 50 as well. So, I will have to agree with your statement about all of us old guys want an old truck with all the new stuff in it. You are very lucky to have the skill, finances and the dare I say luck. to be able to do these projects. Love what you do sir, keep it up! Id love to meet you some day and swap car stories. Cheers!
Your Son DESERVES TO BE JEALOUS ‼️‼️😂🤣😂🤣 FREAKING KILLER JOB AGAIN Steve, Travis and EVERYONE ELSE That Worked TOGETHER On It ‼️‼️ God Bless All 👍👍 Gary.
Had the 2 door version of that truck but a 69 same color, we plowed the farm with it growing up. Thank you for bringing back awesome memories keep doing what you do brother!! Just Awesome!
An old hot rod builder I knew as a kid would put Vaseline on the emblems & paint right over top, then giver a quick wipe… done. 👍🏽 nice job Steve. Truck looks great.
I love that truck. It’s so beautiful. I just like the flat clear a bit better with that type of paint style. But either way I’m knit picking. That truck is perfect.
I love it!! My dad has a '70 Dodge Power Wagon W200 4 door and I think yours looks like the 300. He's 80 and really can't drive it well, so I'll take him for a drive. If you're ever back in Kingman, Az I'd love to show it to you and I'll tell you some stories about myself and Danny Jr from the salvage yard on 66 because we went to school together. ✌️
Steve every project you do inspires me to want to do better on what ever I’m working on. This truck is awesome and your craftsman ship shines with this truck. Good job.
Hey Steve !! Great going !!! Kinda reminds you of the ""BADASS PETE"" that you put together & Sold !!! Now for the ""NEW PETE "" project & How it turns out !!! Need Merlin down there for sure !! 🙃😉😛🤔🤔🤠😎😮👍👍👍👍👍
Ruin!? Absolutely NOT. That truck is OUTSTANDING!!! Travis really knocked it out the park with that paint creation. Can’t call it a paint job! That’s art. 👍🏻🇬🇧
I have to admit in the beginning of the video I thought you were Nuts! But after seeing the finished truck (I know they're never finished) it's One Bad *ss Truck & like you said " You have the truck you want". I'm also really digging the subtle upper dark transition to a lighter color bottom. I can't wait to see a detailed video of the complete build of the truck.
Mate, that's what made me watch your channel was the 55 Chevy of yours and then I saw your 57.. Man I love the work that you have to put into your vehicle's 🍻✌🏻 Cheers Smitty 🤙🏻 & I enjoyed this one, showing how you actually do the paint job
I really like the "old" look! Let's look at it this way - the truck is an old truck and it takes care of the want of that truck. In painting it the way you did, it compliments the look and style so don't worry about what others think. Enjoy it!
Bonjour Steve, Making at first a nice blue color to get it old then, this is crazy but this is what I like. Thank you to make your passion alive instead of entering the banality. Besides this, where is your truck ? Amicalement, Raphaël
Steve seems to be a really humble person. So great to watch these videos. It would be nice if you could shoot a DIY video for these kind of paint/finish, it'd be great for the DYIers out there. Keep up the good work man.
I really like your style you put into these builds, youve created a classic with attitude. I dig that! Ive yet to see one of your builds that i could not see myself behind the wheel. Keep it up sir, show the world what a few ppl, an idea, and an old pile of iron can be with some blood, sweat and beers.
I have the same truck('68 crew-cab Power Wagon, short box). I just turned 50 too. The truck has been untouched for about 5 years, sitting in the back of the shop. Have a 12-valve/NV4500 on a pallet next to it. Just don't seem to have the energy to get out there and fix it up. As you said, it's alot of work.
that truck came out BAD ASS love it, Your show was to me and I'm sure a lot of people one of the BEST OUT THERE!!! , and it's F*CKED up it's not on anymore, I can't believe that no other network has pick it up. there's so many S*it shows out there, WE WANT YOUR SHOW BACK ON
We loved doing the show but that is showbiz, hear today gone tomorrow. Hopefully we bring you closer up to what we do on UA-cam. Thanks for watching us, I appreciate it!
Been to vegas over 10 times on the last 7 years. Have stopped by your shop several times. Def make some cool stuff. But have not had to the chance to meet you yet. Maybe this November when I'm back for sema. Til then, keep the videos coming.
Thanks for coming in Shane, sorry to have missed you. I am often gone for different events but I will be at SEMA. I may be having a open house at Welderup before the convention and I will be there to meet you. I will post my schedule on my UA-cam.
Travis is the OG Artist 💪🏼😎👍🏼 and this awesome pain job reminds me of Steve's 1957 Chevy Bel Air Coupe from the early TV shows. Thinking about it ... where is that 57 Chevy nowadays ???
Amazing old truck Steve. Pickups of that vintage have class adding modern technology just makes them much better to enjoy, I myself same vintage as yourself , I'm not rich but have decided it's time for to finish my vintage 58 beetles rebuilding a well patina basic model at moment going to add modern twist to it. Enjoy your shows and meeting you a few years back up here in BC Canada 👍
Steve, keep the UA-cam going, we still miss the show! Your right alot of explicit shit on TV ..Alot of Devil if you really look at the Hand Gesture's! Dean( Soul) Toronto

You are certainly Blessed Steve, some how you manage to out do yourself once again. That Truck is Beautiful, I have Watched just about everything you have Put out and the Builds Reflect the Talent of you Gentlemen. Your Living the good Life Brother, I’ll catch you on the next one. Keep It Safe Out There Sir
Anybody who saw what you started with would agree you brought back a boneyard truck and married it to something sentimental for your son. 1Luv Big fan of all your work
Definitely a beautiful truck for sure!! I bet if you seen my 1969 Chevy 1Ton 4x4 that is lifted and on 40” boggers and also painted in that same or close blue turquoise color that you did your truck in that you would definitely no Wright of hand what to do to it on the outside!!! That is one of the reasons I haven’t done a repaint on it because I definitely want to come up with something really cool for the paint job on the outside and just haven’t came up with what I want to do yet to it??? Definitely an awesome looking truck buddy!!! Remember keep up all the hard work buddy!!!!
Any info footage on the build? Miles motor work body mounting? This vid was just on the paint. . this is a exact dream build of mine... Had a 65 4door 4x still have my 97 cummins... I'd like to see more
Damn brother that is one BAD ASS TRUCK! But I think all the ride that y'all have built is BAD ASS! Yall jeep building this awesome rides and keep making these awesome videos

Brother everything you touch turns to pure Gold!!
I appreciate that Tony. Thanks!
Definition of ruining a truck: leaving it sit for 20 years rusting away in a field.
This is badass and I really miss the show.
I enjoy your UA-cam channel a hell of a lot more than the Vegas Rat Rod show no network involvement and crazy drama anymore. That Dodge is exactly what I like in your builds no fancy restoration just a good old work truck with all the modern touches.
Good to hear Mr Mongo! Thanks!
Love the truck, Steve! I am a die-hard Dodge guy and 50 as well. So, I will have to agree with your statement about all of us old guys want an old truck with all the new stuff in it. Your Son DESERVES TO BE JEALOUS ‼️‼️😂🤣😂🤣 FREAKING KILLER JOB AGAIN Steve, Travis and EVERYONE ELSE That Worked TOGETHER On It ‼️‼️ God Bless All 👍👍 Gary.
I had a 71 when I was a kid. Really miss it. Probably my favorite body style of trucks. Yours is next level bad ass dude!
I wouldn't say ruined, but I kinda liked the white pateena better! Bad ass though!
Had the 2 door version of that truck but a 69 same color, we plowed the farm with it growing up. Thank you for bringing back awesome memories keep doing what you do brother!! Just Awesome!
My dad and I are also building a crew cab Sweptline. It’s gettting put on a 5.9 first gen cummins chassis! Awesome build, using this for inspiration!
extremely cool!!!!
An old hot rod builder I knew as a kid would put Vaseline on the emblems & paint right over top, then giver a quick wipe… done. 👍🏽 nice job Steve. Truck looks great.
That is the coolest truck I’ve ever seen! I would give my right arm for that thing.
I don't usually like the patina look
However you totally nailed it
It really made that truck pop
I love that truck. It’s so beautiful. I just like the flat clear a bit better with that type of paint style. But either way I’m knit picking. That truck is perfect.
I stopped watching TV years ago, so I'm glad you guys are on UA-cam now.
Steve, killing it as usual. Excellent job.
Thanks man!
I love it!! My dad has a '70 Dodge Power Wagon W200 4 door and I think yours looks like the 300. He's 80 and really can't drive it well, so I'll take him for a drive. Yes I do!
Ruin!? Absolutely NOT. That truck is OUTSTANDING!!! Travis really knocked it out the park with that paint creation. Can’t call it a paint job! That’s art. 👍🏻🇬🇧
Thanks 👍
That truck is perfect best of both worlds. You and Travis work great together
That water based paint must give off some nasty fumes! Lol. Great paintwork. 🤣
I have to admit in the beginning of the video I thought you were Nuts! Much better than any new truck by far. You guys are the best
Love the truck Steve. Keep doing what you're doing because we all love it
My favorite part? That sad front corner... perfectly executed.
I love what you did to that old Dodge! I had one back in the day. It was a standard cab. It didn't have patina it was just rusty!
Most are super rusty!
Miss the show but love the freedom you have with the UA-cam channel
We loved doing the show but your right, way more freedom. Thanks for watching!
@@WelderUpVegas UA-cam really has replaced conventional television for me it's one of the only places I can find media content I can enjoy
I really like the "old" look! Let's look at it this way - the truck is an old truck and it takes care of the want of that truck. In painting it the way you did, it compliments the look and style so don't worry about what others think. Enjoy it!
Im there watching two guys having fun doing finally what they love to do...❤
Bonjour Steve,
Making at first a nice blue color to get it old then, this is crazy but this is what I like.
Thank you to make your passion alive instead of entering the banality.
Besides this, where is your truck ?
Amicalement, Raphaël
Bonjour Raphael, the truck is at Welderup sitting along side of Swamp Ass. I drive them in my travels hauling cars.
So good to see Travis Again. Awesome work as always.
Steve seems to be a really humble person.
So great to watch these videos.
It would be nice if you could shoot a DIY video for these kind of paint/finish, it'd be great for the DYIers out there.
Keep up the good work man.
Got to Travis@vondeeter.com or @vondeeter on Instagram. He may have a video for you there.
I really like your style you put into these builds, youve created a classic with attitude. I dig that! Ive yet to see one of your builds that i could not see myself behind the wheel. Keep it up sir, show the world what a few ppl, an idea, and an old pile of iron can be with some blood, sweat and beers.

Ruined? Not at all. It looks really good. Also, I've got a vp44 for sale, Steve. I'd take $500 shipped for it.
Old school truck is cool but the paint on truck looks amazing. Great job to all 👍
Thanks 👍
I have the same truck('68 crew-cab Power Wagon, short box). I just turned 50 too. The truck has been untouched for about 5 years, sitting in the back of the shop. Have a 12-valve/NV4500 on a pallet next to it. Just don't seem to have the energy to get out there and fix it up. As you said, it's alot of work.
Once you get started you become obsessed. It is a real problem for me. Definitely worth fixing up. Thanks for watching!
Love it Steve. White would look great with that color too. I might go the same route with my 91’ W250 12v
that truck came out BAD ASS love it, Your show was to me and I'm sure a lot of people one of the BEST OUT THERE!!! , and it's F*CKED up it's not on anymore, I can't believe that no other network has pick it up. there's so many S*it shows out there, WE WANT YOUR SHOW BACK ON

A pleasure to watch you guys create. One of life's luxuries is driving a stealth beater.
Doesn't matter what you guys are building: I'll watch it if you put the content up for us. Your builds are amazing.
Classy old school all in one. Good looking truck man
I love this truck so much. I’ve loved it since I first saw it like 5 years ago. And now it’s the best!!
One nice crew cab

& this is partly why I miss the rat rod show / I go back and watch clips now & then ... Nice job Steve & guys .
Love the truck and whole idea behind it. Super nice workmanship.
God dam that’s exactly how I would want that truck to turn out. Great work on all the small details and creature comforts.
I was concerned it was going to be bright turquoise but with the effects you and Travis did, very nice outcome.
1 of my favorite builds , I have a similar build to do , 66 body to 05 ram frame.
I dig the paint but the gloss clear just detracts from the work, I think it would've been awesome with a satin clear to give it a more weathered look.
Travis is the OG Artist 💪🏼😎👍🏼 and this awesome pain job reminds me of Steve's 1957 Chevy Bel Air Coupe from the early TV shows. Thinking about it ... where is that 57 Chevy nowadays ???
Without a doubt, Travis is the best. The 57 is in the showroom at Welderup when I am not driving it.
Amazing old truck Steve. Sounds great Dean, get them finished, it's a great feeling to stand back and see your results.
The 60s Dodge crew cab kustom truck kool rat rod paint job & it's a family classic truck aswell.
I would love to see a video explaining how you achieved that paint. The process looks fun and the the end product is amazing
Noted! Thanks Mike.
Bad to the Bone !! You guys are always GREAT !! Keep up the good work !!!
It's art and with art it's all about taste and what you like 👍 I think it came out awesome !!!
