      Appreciate that man thanks. Planning on conamara this year. Haven't been there yet. Sligo is amazing. Went to college there and didn't fully appreciate the landscape but I have made up for that.

      Hey John, thanks a lot for the kind words! We had a blast making the video, and we're stoked that you enjoyed it. The national school part was indeed a quirky twist, and those ropes added a bit of excitement. We'll keep the positive vibes coming. Cheers for watching

    Great video sole trail . Mount benbulben is originally the remaining trunk of a giant willow tree . A species of tree called "the irish willow" grows high up on mount benbulbens crevices and hasnt been found growing anywhere else in nature than high up on its crevices . Depending on if there are also super rare species of flora species found on surrounding peaks could also be clues as to what the other surrounding hills / trunks were before they were felled before and around the bronze ages . Thank again .

      @@soletrail Thanks . Yeah the giant trees are a big and relatively unresearched gap in our planets history ST ! . The cumbrian fells got there name "fells" because they were infact giant felled trees . The giants courseways with its hexigonal shaped columns are a fossilised rootmass of one of these giant trees . It was firstly a russian man who figured the giant trees out . His video interpretation is here . Its well worth your time . ua-cam.com/video/VS3h6O-gD8c/v-deo.html Thanks for the reply and great video again sole trail .

    Should say. Very risky to rely on someone else's ropes.

    • @soletrail
      @soletrail  Рік тому

      Agree Des. And those ropes weren't in the best of shape. Lesson learned but so so glad I did it but it is very dangerous.

      Howdie.. we just got lucky to be honest. We were camping in that area anyways for a few days and me someone in the area who we spoke with. No idea how to go about it other than that. Sorry don't have a better answer for you. ✌️

    Who do you contact for permission to climb? It's on my 2do list but when I went in summer I seen all the private land signs and didn't want to get in trouble.

    • @soletrail

      We locally met a farmer in the area and asked. Not sure of contact details.

      @@soletrail thank you for the reply. It looks absolutely amazing, although I think I'll wait until next summer now :( I'll keep my eyes peeled for farmers the next time I go and hopefully get permission.

      @@lisafraser923 No bother at all Lisa. It is a very tough climb so be very wary. Stay safe out there. Thank you for the comment. Martin
