- This is the first video of new series where I explore a new format of film making. As I explained in the video, I believe that content on UA-cam is becoming over edited and over produced so I want to strip it back to basics by making raw uncut long form videos where I explore amazing places.
In this video my dad and I climbed the 526m high mountain of Benbulben. I give you an insight into how to climb the mountain and even show you a cave we found. It took us just over three and half hours to climb the mountain, walk to the very end and descend back down. Along the way we met a friendly guy from Kildare called Tom. We ended up walking with him most of the way.

Thank you for sharing this wonderful climb. I spent a riding holiday in the Sligo area som years ago and got amazed of Ben Bulben. Unfortunatly there was no time for climbing it but I wish so much to come back and climb up there.

Great video. Stunning views. Your dad is a dynamo on his feet and you are so courteous and friendly to fellow walkers. :) I love the raw, unedited footage. Like yourself, I am done with over-edited, uber-polished YT videos of these kinds of expeditions. Never been to Benbulben. Hope to climb it one day (I'm in Cork)! Also on my list is a visit to Pat Noone's 'Fairy Farm' (Greenhills Farm) in Kilconnell, Galway, and to camp in his fairy field. He has a fairy fort, 3,500-year-old cairn of an Irish chieftain, a fairy porthole (where the whitehorn tree meets the blackthorn tree), and other features. He seems like a gas character. :)

I think the road you walked after leaving your car is called The Horseshoe road. There was a film made in the 60s which included scenes shot in a cave on Benbulbin, called, (if I recall correctly) Yer man from the six counties. Great video, though a shame you didn't add a trad music soundtrack instead of your personal conversation.

Too much footage dedicated to walking. I cut it off the first time I tried to watch it out of frustration. You need to watch a Video about making videos. You need to keep the Audience captivated starting with the first scene. Your videos will be more popular.
No totally wrong. This video was perfect. Raw footage. Loved walking along with you. Grew up watching Benbulben in the distance. Great job. Enjoyed every second. Stay with your gut. The over edited stuff will come and go, this will endure 20 years from now.
