Ok, high points are going to be my new fav series of videos I know it! Feels like I'm on the mountain with you 🤩
Ah thanks so much Jen! ♥️
Happy Birthday Ellie🎉 A lovely day for the first (and maybe second) of your County High Points. Look forward to seeing you in N.Ireland and your soles toughening up😊
Great views! Those lakes
Thanks for another great video and love the soundtrack. Belated happy birthday Ellie
Well done guys, looking forward to watching some of yer high points and maybe trying one or two myself. Keep up the good work
Great video guys!
Thanks! 😄
Great videos and info on the countryside folks..really enjoyed your adventures🙂👍
Thank you!
Great stuff! Look forward to Corks highpoint of Knockboy! The drive there is more intense at Priests Leap
That was great. I did it in July too, from King's Yard. I found it challenging but I'm on the wrong side of a half century ;)
Looks really cool from the top.. 👍
Thanks! ☺️
Hi, I was the randomer that couldn't remember your names this weekend at the back of Ticknock and just called you "the guys who do the videos", sorry I was slightly daydreaming so caught unawares. Decided to comment on this one as I grew up on the East end of the Galtys. Black Road route I see, very serviceable.
Ah don’t worry at all, thanks so much for saying hello! It was a pre-coffee hike for us, so sorry if we were a bit slow with responses 😆
The Galtys are one of my favourite places, must go up a few of the other routes to Glatymore soon 😊 a really beautiful area!
There’s an event “the Galtee crossing” did it a few years ago.
Took around 9/10 hours, nearly killed me 😀
An amazing experience
I’ve been meaning to do the Galtee Crossing for a few years! My dad used to do it 😄 maybe next year! 😆

@@ToughSoles brilliant, Ye would make a great video of that
That is some view across from the statue of Christ to the Galtees :) . Lovely video and off to a flying start getting to a top with actual views. I knew my favourite Irish cheese had to be named after a beautiful place ! By the way, you mentioned the handy fact that you get to tick off two county highpoints with one hill....there are a few here in Scotland that are nice in that way, as they are classified as both Donalds and Grahams, which are both defined as being 610 mtrs to 762 mtrs in height, but separated as being either lowland or highland in character. But for some deeply obscure reasons the blokes who decide these things agreed it would be that way for a handful of hills in the southern uplands of the country. So a double-tick on the list and drinks all round!

The golden vale should maybe be renamed the green vale! :)
Great video! Did you come from the South side? I climbed it July of last year, but I did a horseshoe loop thing where I climbed galtybeg and kush mountain too, and I started from the North side. When I got to the top, I swore I could see the sea! Anyways yeah. I love this series
Yeah this one was from the south side - want to go back and do the horseshoe loop, it sounds amazing! This was from black road ☺️
Good video. Are you going to do Carrauntoohil last?
Hmm, I’m not sure! It would certainly be an impressive one to save for the end, but I think it would also be great to get it done in fine weather, so might do it sooner while it still feels like summer ☺️ ☀️
Lovely well done. Where did you park the car and start from?
Thanks! We took the route from Black Road, there is a small car park there ☺️ The Mountain Views link in the description has details on the different routes up 😊
@@ToughSoles thanks and well done again 👏
Hay , can I ask you...
Where exactly did you start from ?
Google maps is sending me to Galtee more car park but your starting point looks different
We started at the Black Road car park, at 52.3348994, -8.1574117. Hope that helps!
