When somebody has experience with stock, teaching them to drive with em is easier than teaching an experienced driver how to load stock... Matt is a natural! Get the feeling we might see him again...
Awww Matt did fantastic … It’s always a good trip when you have a team buddy that is eager to learn and is a sponge and gets it right … No stress 😊 for everyone and the cattle… Well done guys ❤
When I was a kid we had assembly yards on the edge of town. Dad used to drop a pickup load of fat hogs there every couple weeks. Sometimes the odd cow or calves a few times a year. Now we ship by the liner load. But we now farm what 6 local families used to farm. Kind of sad in a way how things change. I used to ride a school bus with 40 plus kids out of this area. When my kids were riding, it was down to 10. Shows the farm amalgamation in this area. Now it’s even less.
A friend of mine tuned his freightliner coronado DD15 to about 620hp and deleted emissions hollowed out dpf turned fuel regen off and lots of fuel savings
Great video Jax. I drove from Rapid City to Crow Agency on I 90 several years ago. You can drive for miles and not see anything. Beautiful country around Belle Fourche and Spearfish.
Like I was told in late 70's when I was a green pup in the bovine relocation business . " IT'S EZER TO MAKE A COWBOY A TRUCKER THAN MAKE A TRUCKER A COWBOY " ....
With my 379 pete 525 n14 cummins 18 speed 3:55 i averaged 4.5 to 5.5 with a bull rack and flat bed/step deck/ rgn 6-7 mpg so i would not tune! If you leave it 430 or 460 you will get better mpg! Love your trucks and your attitude! You would make a great friend! Glad to see you have a CB!
Starting watching you last year through the nascar stuff, really enjoying your cattle hauling stuff, it's really interesting. Iv alot of silly questions, I'll keep watching and learning. Great work 👏
The new man Matt doesn't just need to be a driver he has to be able to fix his rig to keep going and a maid to boot a clean trailer is great great video thanks Jax and Matt
I guess good thing you don’t have a bunch of drops along the way when we hauled livestock we would have usually four to five stops. A friend of mine got in some trouble for sleeping at the load chute he unloaded then went to sleep lol.
I appreciate knowing where you’re at on the map since I’m not familiar with my son’s new home state of Montana. Sorry, I’ve been slow on the watch, but have been racing the first winter snow here in Galesburg Illinois and are finally getting it tonight. Michelle‘s mom went from cancer diagnosis to visitation in less than three months so have had family in an out of Illinois as well. Hope all is going with the family of yours. Enjoyed seeing the kids on the Biden bike. take care Jax.
Made the mistake of leaving my deckboards down when I unloaded in the south, when North into Idaho and slept... had a bad case of frozen together deckboards. Thank god for the prybar.
A tune may help get even better fuel mileage plus having the extra power never hurts just have to keep the foot of the pedal if you tune it and I would definitely tune it but that’s just me!
Hey man I’m from the Flathead and I’m by bo means fancy! We’ve just been overrun by a bunch of rude wealthy people from all over but mostly California. Sad days, good hard working blue collar guys can’t hardly afford groceries much less have a house here
@realwildwildwest I haul cows in Oregon and wa. I got a 2014 w900 I really appreciate your content and your podcasts I've listen to them more than ones especially the one of Billy jack and old rooster such great stories gets me laughing every time and you and stony sounded like you guys had great childhood I've learned a lot from your advice on buying trucks I started my business in 21 and had 2 motors blow up one was because macanic stuck bad head on and he wouldn't stand behind it I didn't pay a crazy amount for my truck but I wished I would have listened to your podcasts before I bought a truck I would have went with a cheaper truck keep up the good advice and content
Yes it is! Funny thing.. that day when I got near the bottom a freight truck came off the hill just BILLOWING brake smoke. I wish i had caught it on camera, but i was already getting back up to speed. He must have been close to making a fire 🔥!
Havent watched the video yet, but will after message. I miss running the OTR life. The old school. BHlrs are the last who can. If you could help me find a seat in it. I sure would appreciate and not disappoint you or person giving me that chance.
I assume that it is not difficult to get overweight especially if the cattle are pretty large and big individual animals. What max permitted weight are you allowed with your three axle tuck and four axle trailer? Is this the same for all states in the USA? Dan
Dream of a Cat in a W9 then you say 6.44 w yer DDEC n cornfield caddy… if that 3406 got 5.5 he’d be giddy… think that is ALOT thicker wallet fer ya at the end of the trail! Love yer vids
Cattle Hauling will become prosperous in 2025 ! Front haul , Mexicans Back haul , Texas Cattle Farmers stick together ! The Big Farmer sticks it to the Little Farmer .
Hey, I like your video and dose truck's look good you mentioned a little more HP you wouldn't mind you can do it with out compromising your fuel economy just with quality oil and fuel additive you can gain 3 - 6% some see as much as 10% hp may even get better fuel economy never know My background in diesel mechanic for 30+ I have seen and experienced my self guys spending thousands on tune kits and compromising engine longevity is the worst when you tune
I used to haul cattle, but could no longer stomach taking them in to kill factories. It became extremely sad and depressing and the things I’ve seen those places was appalling. JBS and Hatfield are filled with bad vibes, bad energy and very dark.
Thats a beautiful truck he's got 👌 why was he running with his drop axle down on the highway with a light load like that ? I only drop it with certain machines on the lowbed . Is he doing it for the extra braking? Can't be helping his fuel mileage and those kitty cats a thirsty !
So they just load you way lighter ? I do equipment I just couldn't picture the cows being heavy enough to require the axle down but I'll take your word for it you guys know !!! Thanks for the answer buddy
🇺🇸 If you have the courage and tenacity to put someone, I know you're fussy about who but, in your truck and go to bed and sleep well you got this 👍 best of luck ! 🚛🐄
No, single tires axles are rated for 13k so you have a 13k axle, a 20k axle, and a 13k axle giving you a total of 46k . The law will only allow 43k so we don’t lose anything.
Dude those are called stick trailers Horse trailers are more in closed usually fold down ramp for horse to walk in Don’t think u been in the industry long
you might be in the "industry" but you are not in the life. until you understand the term "horse trailer" in the livestock/cattle/trucking/ranching/farming life, please don't talk to us about the industry.
Y’all are standing on the reputation of your predecessors,, y’all look like outlaws but really are not,,,,, back in the day we drove fast, overloaded, ran ports, bootlegged cattle, dodged dip stations, violated the east west rule of the mighty muddy, doing in the face of dot,,and did it all after that inhaling a bag of Scooby snacks,,, so yes we appreciate and the industry is needed,,, but it’s our reputation, more than a look it was our life!!!
When somebody has experience with stock, teaching them to drive with em is easier than teaching an experienced driver how to load stock... Matt is a natural! Get the feeling we might see him again...
All the years dealing with drivers has brought me to the mindset....... A good hand is a good hand..... Doesn't matter what you're hauling.
Woke up this morning blues touching down a country road. EverydayJax hauls a good heart and alotta soul.

Jax !! You were right in our neighborhood.!!
I guess good thing you don’t have a bunch of drops along the way when we hauled livestock we would have usually four to five stops. A friend of mine got in some trouble for sleeping at the load chute he unloaded then went to sleep lol.
God Has Blessed us all, with your wonderful videos Wolfman. What a great education on the cattle business.
Man I Enjoy Your Work. Please keep it up.
Keep your eyes peeled for the real deal. Keep the left lane clear cuz the boys are here.

The Biden bike 🤣🤣 that gave me a good laugh. Be well down there. Always good to hear from you.
Great vids here! Thanks 👍

Hello there bud. Hope you and the family are doing great.👍✌️🙏🙏
In the 80’s and 90’s my dad bought a lot of calves in the Ronan area and shipped them from the old yards in Charlo.
no kidding? fun memory for you to see again eh!
Almost makes me want to be a Bull hauler!!
As always great stuff!
That K100 was sweet need to keep working on my uncles!
Well, the Bull Shipper taught Matt well!
just took 3 loads off the central ut mountains with the Freightliner Argosy cabovers away
A tune may help get even better fuel mileage plus having the extra power never hurts just have to keep the foot of the pedal if you tune it and I would definitely tune it but that’s just me!
I’m leaning towards a tune 👍🏼
Gawsh I love this channel. Awesome how you explain things. I’m a 406 boy living in northern Colorado 🤠🤙🏼☀️☀️
When he poked his prod into the trailer while unloading and you said , he’s going to break his prod, l had to laugh. Done that many times.
I’m always curious when I see these trailers on the road. I haul the cattle after they’ve been butchered and boxed up. Great video!
Wow, that was an interesting video! Learned a lot👍👍👍
When you saw the cab over I was waiting for the auctioner to come out.
That blue 4 is a beauty.
Great video
Good luck with that like watching your content an always found NASCAR hauling would have been a good gig . Being a former cdl driver my self
I’ve been really thinking about learning this to go along with my stepdeck. Where would I go to learn this?
Happy Thanksgiving God bless you to your loved ones and your family have a good turkey day sir your friend Rodger

Yeah leave her alone and let her be.
I’m sure it’s a 12.7 Detroit.
We will do you a fund raiser and build you a entire 615 RWHP 60 series

Different states different weights.. it can be challenging ! 3 ax=43,500 4 ax= 52,000
Love your videos man. Love yaaaaaaaaaaaaaa mean it

It was heavy enough, he would have been overweight on those drive tandems without it down. South Dakota DOT love to nip a guy with his axle up.
So they just load you way lighter ? I do equipment I just couldn't picture the cows being heavy enough to require the axle down but I'll take your word for it you guys know !!! Thanks for the answer buddy
@@rirebel6029yeah man, with his pusher up he would be 37-38k on his drives. Personal record max net for me my cow trailer is 75,315 lbs 😁
🇺🇸 If you have the courage and tenacity to put someone, I know you're fussy about who but, in your truck and go to bed and sleep well you got this 👍 best of luck ! 🚛🐄
Was wondering if you would be doing any more NASCAR videos in the future
No plans at the moment. Teams have all been changed up, so it would depend if I can come up with a connection again.
Do you ever go to the Slaughterhouse and if so have you ever ran into protests?
I go there regularly.. never any protests. Mostly that’s found on the west coast and Canada. Old man rooster has ran into a few in his career though!
N E E D M O R E S T E A D Y A T T H E W H E E L P O D C A S T S ! ! ! ! Pretty please.... Miss you and Luke chin waggin away while I drive.
That means alot ! We’re getting together over thanksgiving to make some more :)
Hey Jax
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone 👊😁🇺🇸🙏😎
Why does the trailer on the kenworth have single tyres and not dual tyres all round
to save on weight
@@realwildwildwestdoesn’t that halve how much weight you can carry though???

@@realwildwildwest oh ok so you couldn’t actually put dual wheels on those front and rear axles
He needs more lights to be a bull hauler
What can you gross with a 4 axle trailer
98k with no pusher on the truck
Let me learn from you in my w9.
That would not be Nebraska to the east that would be North and South Dakota
Son , I believe you could teach the devil himself new ways .
I was raised on a dairy farm so you can train me lol
Nothing like the smell of Bull shit in the morning 😅
How about training me next
Maybe I should start a bull hauling school 🤔
