      Awesome! Thank you for watching and I'm glad I could bring up some old memories for you! I've got an old picture of one of my grandpas backed up to an old wood load shoot in an old truck and straight load trailer, pretty awesome! Old School!

    I like when you say you cross the state line or go through a certain town or name the road that you’re on cause I used to be on a bunch of these roads back in the day. Remind me where I used to be when I could truck, but now I’m in a wheelchair.

    Hi i am a now retired cattle hauler from Germany.Be in business from 1992 to 2012.Then i went off because the laws for transporting cattle getting stronger and stronger. My company hauls 90% bulls for export to ports at the mediterranian sea to get shipped to the muslims. And 10 % was breeding cattle to Turkey Russia Iran Morocco. Almost everywhere you can go with wheels and a ferry. We had Wilson Trailers also because they where much lighter than the common trailers here. But when we load heavy bulls about 2000 lbs and more and they begin to rumble, the wilson trailers gets heavy damaged. Bolts popping out, sheets falling off.A big mess.Thats the reason for me never hooked up one of these. And now keep on rollin Buddy.

      @@udo5479 that's really cool! Sounds like you got to haul some very interesting loads! You are right, those big cattle will mess your trailer up! Most of the cattle I haul are less than 1000 lbs and don't do as much damage. It's getting harder to stay in business in the US now as well, I'm hoping to stay in business at least 2 more years if the market holds up! Thanks for watching! I hope you have a great day!

    Sometimes I think I’d like to try cattle hauling. Don’t know if I could do it though. Not fond of being squished or kicked. Gotten that enough from the horses over the years. Still, I do wonder what it’s like. I’ve heard it pays really well, but you also pay for any cow that goes down.
    What do you have under the hood in that Pete? It sounded like it might be kitty cat in one of your other videos.

    • @G5OutdoorAdventures
      @G5OutdoorAdventures  27 днів тому

      @@tracywilson1356 it can be dangerous, but I work my gates loading and unloading and try to be as safe as possible! I have only been kicked once and that was several years ago when I first started hauling, I have been chased out if the trailer a few times!😁 Yes,you are correct, you are responsible for the cattle on your trailer, we carry special cargo ins for livestock, but the 1st $1000 is out of your pocket! Its a kitty under the hood, good ear! Whatcha think about them La hiways & pigtrails !!Them Coonasses know how to eat , but they road working skills are lacking , hahaha !! What determines where they cattle go ?? Who ever payin the most?? just curious. Thanks for lettin us ride along with You Sir !! I never did know exactly what the tooth pics meant, but i never hauled any cows . I do know , to me the worst feelin there is , is to be so sleepy Ya cant hold ya head up & still got 500 miles miles to go . I always managed to function under my own power,but its tuff sometimes.Back then the Dr. would give ya stuff to keep a man awake , when i started in 98 , drug testing was in place. Enjoyed the Video once again!! You take Care Sir , Got a nosey question for ya , I seen Yall got a place up in cold country , gettin ready for retirement??

      @@jamesconn7311 I agree with ya, love the food, hate the roads, lol! Where they goes depends on what kind of money the feed lot is paying, all about the profit per pound, some days we just drive until they get em sold! I hear ya on the sleep, sometimes it gets pretty tough, but like you I do it with no help outside of caffeine! Thanks for watching! And yes we bought some property way up north, that's the retirement plan, going to build some cabins and rent out for airbnbs, do a bunch of fishing, hunting, and exploring, "the last frontier"!
