Stinky meat injection is the only true solution to poly problem. Poly safety eggs, projectile transmutations on orbit, all the other types of stuff people tell you - it all has a chance to fail. But stinky meat will never fail. It will always keep you safe. Embrace the stinky. Edit: stinky meat’s buff does, actually, sometimes fail. Nobody is safe, nothing is sacred, board up your windows.
Two rules in noita: 1. If chest is underwater, and you are underwater, the electricstone drop chance jumps to 1000% 2. If a propan tank starts flying, it will land in your face (they have giga homing)
Some I have noticed recently: 3. If you have vampirism, biomes that are normally bloodbaths will now be clean. (Hiisi Base in particular) 4. If you have spells that are good for generating blood (chainsaw, triplicate bolt), you will never get Vampirism. 5. If there is a mechanic you don't know, it will be the next thing to kill you. (Found out twitchy mage gives you self-damage today. After getting nailed in the head by own triple heavy shot accelerating bouncing burst. :)
4:30 these types of deaths are absolutely hilarious and my all time favourites. the poly shots & electrified water deaths you can look at and think that you should've been able to dodge it or do something differently, but then you get a hiisi in an unexplored cave that grabs a nuke/bomb wand from a pool of berserkium and proceeds to disintergrate half the observable universe - there's absolutely nothing you can do and it almost makes you feel proud that the game graced you with something so rare and weird.
I loved a moment when I survived a nuclear explosion from a suicide bomber hiisi. No explosion immunity, I just happened to be far enough away to have just enough time to see the nuclear launch and barely survive near a portal exit.
Except there's a 0.75% chance of a bullet and 99.25% chance or literally anything else that wouldn't kill him (although it could've been a poly pot that insta breaks I guess, but that's still more salvageable)
Once i was doing a 34 orb run, i had 33 orbs and i was ready to do the end of everything, i was doing it in the middle of the sky so i was sure that nothing was below me, i survived it and the orb spawned, what i didnt account for was that the end of everything would in order spawn a water flask, all 3 polymorphine types and acid, so the lava would turn into stone and the polymorphines and acid would lay on top of the stone in the middle of the air, so when i went to collect the orb i immeidetly jumped into a mix of polymorphine and acid killing me instantly with the orb on my screen

I had the best run of my life a couple days ago. I had a fantastic wand, plenty of health, and a few immunities. I was moseying around the Lukki Lair and my wand was absolutely gobbling up enemies. I had wand experimenter so the couple times I got hit I'd just heal back up with whatever wand I had. I wandered into the wizards den, thriving, doing my thing, full health. This game spits on confidence. I got swapped, sheeped, and hit with something. Full health and behind cover to dead in less than a second. Why do I keep playing
I'd just like to reiterate over the first death because it was so ridiculous. Before you dropped down, there was a swapper and poly mage. You saw the poly mage and knew you have to focus it. Swapper mage "attacks" poly mage, swapping them both in place, but which also makes the poly mage aggro at the swapper. Then in the same timeframe you shoot at where the poly mage was (where now the swapper mage stands) AND because swapper has the poly's aggro it shoots _at the swapper_ . But your shot hits first so you get swapped into the shot that should've gone at the poly. So the poly mage didn't even shoot at you and had you shot the poly before it was swapped you probably would've survived. Classic Noita moment
Playing noita is really about getting in that state os psychosis where you keep in mind all safety protocols in order to not die. He knew it was going to be a thunderstone but his muscle memory was faster 😂😂
Not always. Once I tried to get around this by holding an Uko stone when I opened the chest so I wouldn't get electricuted if it had another Uko stone. It didn't have an Uko stone, it was a polymorphine potion, which popped instantly from the electricity of the stone I was holding, which polymorphed me and the electricity killed me instantly. Good times.
Noita is an endless source of new ways to die. Do you know what happens when giga discs have fireball thrower? Then how about any static projectile + personal gravity fiels + orbiting whatever?

I got killed by a plasma projectile i shoot. I didnt walked in it, i was standing still and it still hitted me. I had a wand with aways cast circle of vigor so healing forever, so that was one of my most precious run, but that instakilled me. I unninstalled the game.

That 2nd death would have made me quit the game for a month I swear lol. Not only did the random flying rock hit you once, but by hitting you it slowed down just enough to PERFECTLY double tap you for the kill. I swear there have been so many physics incidents where the game is programmed to aim projectiles/physics objects directly at you
I was just killed by an electric light in the vault. I was down to five health, due to my own negligence, and was trying to get down to the next holy mountain. I jumped into the air and fired downward, and because I had the Concentrated Spells perk I flew up into an electric light and it killed me.
I just had a good run end at hissi base because a ricoche from my sparkbolt with trigger hit a shield and destroyed it, which electofied the metal under me and triggered an explosive that sent me flyinging into a stationary turret for the kill, i had 300 health when it happened, cant even be mad about that.
I got Noita'd just today when I was fucking around with an electric spell in the holy mountain and the knockback from my wand pushed me into the water pool, which proceeded to immediately get electrified and delete all of my ~270 health instantly.
I know im not the only comment like this but you also helped me get my first win today, had to reference your chainsaw video halfway through for a refresher lol! Literally could not have done it without your excellent content!
The poly swapper was more like a dark souls moment. You were charging in with hubris and Noita was making sure it was warranted. It was not. Getting slapped by random shit 15 seconds after a nuke goes off is hilarious though.
I've had an off screen explosion spray chaotic polymorph on me and within almost the same frame my homonculus (that I probably shouldn't have had) shot me in the back of the head :) great vid lol

I beat the game last night (first time I ever did it twice in a row!) and was super happy. Was about to enter the portal and got teleported into the lava and died. I had accidentally picked up teleportitis dodge (had no cash to reroll, got the "luck of the draw" perk, or whatever it's called where you get two random perks). Beat the boss, died. I went from super happy to fucking table-flippingly frustrated in a split second. I don't even know what hit me.
Finally got my first win! Thank you to the streamer.... No joke it took 118 tries and 23 hours to finally get one, obviously the runs got much more time consuming to the end. Finally in that final run, I got lightning bolt 500 dmaage with chainsaw/mana/3x spellcast and no damage from explosions/fire with bloodmoney. Could basically meme spam my way through the last 2 biomes and the final boss took 3 seconds. The knockback was hilarious but sometimes it helped.
Ngl without many orbs the final boss is one of the easiest parts of a full run, that's why you should focus on defensive stuff, to survive all of the bullshittery along the way

I remember having an absolute god run, practically unkillable and could almost instakill every boss. What ended that run was burrowing downwards, touching polymorphine from I don't even know where, then immediately dying cause it was the same area as some freezing vapor.
Awesome. It's good to see that it happens to someone with so much experience. I'm working on a pretty good run right now, but have almost died to that purple guy polymorphing me (i managed to run away). I am skipping that area in the parallel worlds I am going through.
Man dunk you're just one of the most loveable streamers on the internet. still I love seeing you lose. love seeing you rage even more. Recently, I was on the way to a god run - unlimited circle of vigor destruction wand, so healing me made any visible enemy disappear instantly - and I black hole dug through the cursed rock into the tower. Just as I was reaching the tower, there was an OFF-SCREEN (!) polymaster who instantly shoots at me. Being in my tunnel, I couldnt teleport away quickly enough. I get hit and the cursed rock kills me instantly. I never felt more noita'd. I specifically made the destruction wand so I could simply disappear all poly-enemies and then I get polyshot at from off-screen. Ragequit and haven't had the strength to start another run since then.
All i'm seeing is one skill issue after another :) But no yeah actually, recently after 250 hours of playing this game i had my first pure, utter bullshit "noita'd" death and it is a DIFFERENT level of painful lmao

I was 27 hours into a run only to be poly morphed and die in lava. I'll never forget that time I was Noita'd. But it's nice to see a seasoned player like you get Noita'd. LOLs
wtf happened at 4:30? The particles flying out makes it look like a nuke went off or something. Did an NPC pick up a one in a million chance nuke wand spawning that early or something? It also kinda highlights one of the game's annoying shortcomings, which is that there's no falloff of damage/effect with distance like there really should be (the outer edge of an explosion should do less than ground zero, a shotgun pellet arcing through the air and falling on you should do less than getting hit point blank with it, etc). Also just the incredible danger of NPCs picking up wands, Noita really turns the "gnome with a wand of death" phenomenon up to 11. One of my recent Noita'd moments was getting attacked by an Ukko who'd picked up a wand with spark bolt and always-cast earthquake on it. At first I just thought it was spark bolts flying at me, until the ceiling came coming down from off-screen, triggered by the missed shots.
Nuke wands aren't even that rare in the second stage tbh, and getting absolutely obliterated by random garbage is just a part of the game at this point, all you can do is: 1) Cope 2) Start another run
It happens to you once and you swear that you'll never open a chest underwater again. Then you play for five years and never see another electric rock pop out of an underwater chest. You see another underwater chest. You think "what are the chances?" Pro-Noita players know: 100%
Just learned to never take levvy trail a few weeks ago. It was during a really good long run and was in new game+ trying to score an 11 orb win, I couldn't shoot at a chest from far away bc my wand is a bouncing burst with heavy shot, I opened it up close and whaddya know, it spawned a poly flask which broke from my trail.
Another reason is that Levitation trail's projectiles trigger on permanent shield. In short, it will break your own shield when you levitate and leave you vulnerable.

I remember having an absolute god run, practically unkillable and could almost instakill every boss. What ended that run was burrowing downwards, touching polymorphine from I don't even know where, then immediately dying cause it was the same area as some freezing vapor.

Awesome. It's good to see that it happens to someone with so much experience. I'm working on a pretty good run right now, but have almost died to that purple guy polymorphing me (i managed to run away). I am skipping that area in the parallel worlds I am going through.

Recently, I was on the way to a god run - unlimited circle of vigor destruction wand, so healing me made any visible enemy disappear instantly - and I black hole dug through the cursed rock into the tower. Just as I was reaching the tower, there was an OFF-SCREEN (!) polymaster who instantly shoots at me. Being in my tunnel, I couldnt teleport away quickly enough. I get hit and the cursed rock kills me instantly. I never felt more noita'd. I specifically made the destruction wand so I could simply disappear all poly-enemies and then I get polyshot at from off-screen. Ragequit and haven't had the strength to start another run since then.
All i'm seeing is one skill issue after another :)
But no yeah actually, recently after 250 hours of playing this game i had my first pure, utter bullshit "noita'd" death and it is a DIFFERENT level of painful lmao

Noita is weird. I've died so often to so many stupid things and I still can't stop playing it over and over again.

I was 27 hours into a run only to be poly morphed and die in lava. I'll never forget that time I was Noita'd. But it's nice to see a seasoned player like you get Noita'd. LOLs

That one death kind of looked like a skill issue
wtf happened at 4:30? The particles flying out makes it look like a nuke went off or something. Did an NPC pick up a one in a million chance nuke wand spawning that early or something? It also kinda highlights one of the game's annoying shortcomings, which is that there's no falloff of damage/effect with distance like there really should be (the outer edge of an explosion should do less than ground zero, a shotgun pellet arcing through the air and falling on you should do less than getting hit point blank with it, etc). Also just the incredible danger of NPCs picking up wands, Noita really turns the "gnome with a wand of death" phenomenon up to 11. One of my recent Noita'd moments was getting attacked by an Ukko who'd picked up a wand with spark bolt and always-cast earthquake on it. At first I just thought it was spark bolts flying at me, until the ceiling came coming down from off-screen, triggered by the missed shots.

Nuke wands aren't even that rare in the second stage tbh, and getting absolutely obliterated by random garbage is just a part of the game at this point, all you can do is:
1) Cope
2) Start another run

I Literally had the same death happen to me with the shock rock in the water chest. Greed.
It happens to you once and you swear that you'll never open a chest underwater again. Then you play for five years and never see another electric rock pop out of an underwater chest. You see another underwater chest. You think "what are the chances?" Pro-Noita players know: 100%
Just learned to never take levvy trail a few weeks ago. It was during a really good long run and was in new game+ trying to score an 11 orb win, I couldn't shoot at a chest from far away bc my wand is a bouncing burst with heavy shot, I opened it up close and whaddya know, it spawned a poly flask which broke from my trail.
Another reason is that Levitation trail's projectiles trigger on permanent shield. In short, it will break your own shield when you levitate and leave you vulnerable.
