Greenfield Village, is alway a fun place to just hang out and do some classic railfanning. Cool video quality. • Cheers from The Detroit & Mackinac Railway 🚂
Wow that was amazing! That ride seems a lot of fun, kind of like Strausburg PA. Those steam engines are so cool. Looks like a lot of history there. Nice vid.
Although Torchlake is the most beautiful engine, the Detroit & Lima Northern isn't too far behind. She is a drop dead gorgeous and stunning locomotive. The Edison is beautiful too, but I just wish they'd give her back her box headlamp, and wooden cab, and relocate her dynamo.
Back in the 90s, the Edison had a diamond stack, oil burning box headlamp, wooden cab, and no dynamo. They can keep the cap stack, but relocate the can headlamp to the rear for use as a back-up lamp, relocate the dynamo in between the domes, bring back her box oil burning headlamp, and give her back her wooden cab. I really love the Torch Lake given her colorful history, the character, charm, and personality she has, her beautiful high pitched back, her beautiful bronze bell and single chime whistle, and also because she's the oldest makes her extra special. But the number #7 is RIGHT on her tail because she too is gorgeous.
Okay. Some information I've read says that the 765 will be in Fostoria on the 24th. Is the locomotive going from Cuyahoga back to Ft. Wayne this week or is it staying in Cuyahoga?
Michigan Rail Productions Oh. I think it'll come back to the valley overnight on the 25th, cuz it has trips to make on the 25th. Lemme do some research.

Thank you Gary!
I love this place! I like the number 7 because it's not only an American type, but because of that bell!
I love it too! #7 is historic. It was Henry Ford's personal locomotive. But I personally like #1 more for various reasons.

I think #7 has the best appearance. Edison does need some work appearance wise, but she is still my favorite.

Nice one, Casey! BTW might be going to Fostoria + Cyuhoga Valley on the 24th!
Thanks Duncan! I'll be at Cuyahoga that weekend.
Do you have any info on when 765 (767) will be in Fostoria?
Michigan Rail Productions No. It should be leaving the valley late Sunday or Monday.
