5 Big Questions On Offense For Ohio State Football Fall Camp

- Ohio State football opens its fall camp on Thursday as the Buckeyes gear up for another run at the Big Ten Championship, College Football Playoff, and even a potential national championship.
This season's offense is shaping up to potentially be the best in program history, with Heisman candidate CJ Stroud on track to totally rewrite the record books with TreVeyon Henderson, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, and absolutely loaded position groups.
Tony Gerdeman of BuckeyeHuddle.com joins host Tom Orr to preview five of the biggest storylines to watch on offense in fall camp.

My 3 relate to running plays/game:
1. Will "we" run the ball more than 38% of the plays? I'd like to see a 10% increase. I get that the WR room is elite, but a team sets a physical "tone," and sets up 2nd and manage-ables with a great running game.
2. Will Day/Wilson/Frye (whoever is calling the run plays) call them out a greater variety of formations and mix in some sweeps and misdirection plays? Last season, the hole that the back was supposed to take seemed obvious sometimes before the ball was even snapped. Day is a great offensive mind, and an A+ play caller usually, but last year, things seemed more like B+
3. Will Trey be a little heavier (in a good way) and get his pads a little lower this year?
Not the right 5 questions !
1. WHAT IF => what if CJ plays w/o confidence in our 1st game vs ND => much like he did for most of last year => lost 2 games (one to ttun) => and was unable to win the B!G and therefore OSU was NOT selected to the CFP's ==> so WHAT IF => he doesn't play a stellar game vs ND or even worse => manages to LOSE that game ?
2. What if => What if R. Day & K. Wilson haven't increased their combined football acumen and continue to LACK a much-needed understanding of => Clock Management, Field Position, The necessity of our QB to extend drives and score points => by RUNNING for good yardage and 1st downs ?
3. What if => What if Day & Wilson continue to FAIL TO GRASP that 3 passes w/o a 1st down turns the ball over quickly and exhausts our DEFENSE ?
4. What if => What if ND's O-Line pushes/controls/dominates our D-line & JK's D-Scheme ?
5. What if => We lose 2 games BEFORE the B!GCG ?

Hell yeah, more Tony! We like you too Tom, just not as much. McCord will be 2nd and start next year. He will be yet another 1st round pick. Then Brown who will be another 1st round pick. Then Raiola who may be the best of all. The new kid from TN. We're willing to see whatcha got. We think a lot of him as well. I think we have more than 6 WR's who could start most everywhere else. I'm thinking more like 10.

I’ve heard Cade stover will be used play to play and get a few catches but in obvious passing situations where the tight end is out wide it will be one of g Scott or Joe royer
