You totally lost me and I'm sure a large percent of OSU fans. Why? Because for your entire show all you did was praise Michigan while beating up on the Buckeyes. Except for one small platitude toward the end when you did say that Ryan Day was still a good coach and the Buckeyes s good team. But by then you had lost me. At least Joel Klatt had some good things to say about OSU and explained why Michigan was able to win. I didn't heat any of that from you. So take your show and shove it!
What happened is this, both teams don't have a rough schedule but when they play a Good team, a team that will make you pay for the mistakes, Michigan is a better team for the past two years.
Being a Wolverine fan for over 50 yrs, this win was so special. Watching with my dad who is a MSU fan. Watching him cheer jump yell after every Michigan score. I will never forget this VICTORY. AMAZING BLUE THANKS
Same here, a Michigan fan for over fifty years. I got my love of Michigan from my mother who attended back in the 50’s I attended in the 70’s. I grew up watching the Bo Schembechler era. I thought mid 90’s was Michigan’s golden era and I didn’t think I would see another. I was happy with Jim Harbaugh winning 9-11 games a year. I never expected to see another two year run like last year and this.
My dads twin passed away about 5 months ago. He was the second biggest Mich fan I’ve ever known. But what’s special is this year he got to watch it from heaven! So glad you had that experience with your dad! Talk about a memory!!!
I have been a Wolverine fan since 1969, and a MSU fan since 1965 when my sister went to MSU during their back to back National Championships. She brought autographs at Christmas from both George Webster and Bubba Smith who were in one of her classes. She hates Michigan but this past Saturday she was texting how good Michigan is doing and finally the fat lady is singing after the last Donovan Edwards breakaway. Guess she hates Ohio State more.
Throughout the whole game Michigan never looked nervous. After the first quarter it was all smiles. The big plays really shellshocked the psych of OSU. Even when they went up by 3 they had a lifeless look on their sideline compared to UM
Reminded me of Michigan Wisconsin a little bit last year. When Michigan started doing jump around and just sucked the energy right out of Wisconsin. There wasn't as much of a single moment like that (you could say the first of the long touchdown runs broke OSU) but the energy of Michigan sucked the life out of them
The lifelessness of osu players is because ryan day is from new hampshire and doesnt get the rivalry. And CJ isnt a leader. "I didnt come here to run the ball" -- CJ STROUD.....harbaugh, tressle, urban, bo, woody all understood/understand the rivalry. We beat mich badly in 2019 WITH URBAN'S GUYS. Since then, its ryan days guys, soft and clueless.
@@sawyernorthrop4078 OSU has no "grit" and cannot overcome diversity. Had osu jumped out to a 14-3 lead it probably would have been over for mich because osu plays better and is more aggressive when they have the lead. They are soft and just not tough. No pride!
@@biztranfsbo 1000% agree. Ohio State isn't used to teams hanging with them. Michigan is great at keeping their composure and adjusting, as well as physically wearing down their opponents
Idk why so many of our fans make excuses. We got our asses beat. Flat out. Harbaugh and his players never faltered. It was that mindset that kept them in the game. And it’s what won them the game. One side was disciplined all day. The other was not. And even tho I’m a buckeye fan, Michigan deserved it. Straight up, they did. So hats off to them. Idk about the Natty cause Georgia is still a thing, but for once the Big Ten has some confidence. Good luck
@@ImaITman We didn’t have the leader of our defense to be fair, they still might’ve won but wouldn’t of scored over 50. It shows our lack of depth as well
@@thr33z11 OSU was without Smith-Njibga, Trevyon Henderson, Guard Matt Jones, and Miyan Williams only played a couple snaps before having to leave. It was NOT pretty even.
❤my late Uncle passed away just 5 months ago. He was one of the biggest Mich fans I’ve ever known. Last year he got to see Mich win over Osu before he passed away. This year he got a front row seat from his heavenly home!! I know he was screaming and celebrating just like all of us!!!!
The defensive adjustment was made. They started respecting the pass game and took some guys out of the box in the 2nd half. That's when Michigan started going to their run game again. OSU was loading the box all first half, they knew they couldn't stop Michigan's run game without doing it.
The funny thing is after they adjusted Michigan started killing them on the ground then they started loading the box again and Michigan just broke through anyway and gashed them. Gap integrity fell apart in the fourth. That's what happens after being hit with a hammer all game. Eventually that shit gonna hurt lol
By far the best take that I have seen on *The Game* Keep doing that you're going, Josh. You and Joel Klatt are jewels in the world of college football analysis.
@@chrispugh1348Huge Michigan fan here, and I agree. I wouldn't necessarily say he's arrogant, he's just a strange dude and comes across as aloof, awkward, distant. No one in the Wolverine fan base will care, however, if he wins, including myself. I just don't listen to him talk if I can help it.

Ohio state football fans very very arrogants,,, it keep them quit no more 3000s plus days without michigan victory, 20s years plus, without michigan at the horseshoe stadium., columbus, ohio
@@squigglyline2813Your pathetic just like your beloved payed for team and your father. Kick rocks little brother. Osu changed their signals the last 2 years, your excuses are extremely embarrassing.
Josh made a great point about not able to point to one specific thing that will improve Ohio State. Recruiting, coaching and playmaking are just tangible part of the game. The intangibles like mental toughness, resiliency and desire to win etc is tied to team culture and leadership which takes time and can't be easily fixed. When the competition is at the highest level it really comes down to having an edge in intangibles.
Been a Michigan fan since birth. This is the first video of yours I’ve watched. Nice call last week on the passing game ramping up when we needed it. If someone would’ve told me they’d score 17 points in the first half on 0 yards rushing, I would have simply said “HOW?!” This game marked a turning point for JJ McCarthy in his Michigan career, and it was great to see him looking like the kid we all thought he was coming in. I believe this kid is different and wouldn’t swap him out for any QB in the nation after the BIG GAME ice cold nerves he showed on Saturday. Last year would’ve been forgotten if Michigan lost this game, and the results haven’t fully shown themselves of what beating Osu in their own house by 3 TDs plus, and ending their season two years in a row. All of a sudden Michigan isn’t intimidated, all of a sudden Michigan is the 4th quarter bully, all of a sudden Ohio state has to win on what they have in the present, because the past is no longer an advantage for them. By the way, JJ McCarthy’s performance yesterday was on full display to every 5 star receiver in America and who wouldn’t want that kid passing to them? Beautiful game. Go Blue!
Despite MI's offensive performance, I think that knock out of the Oh St. ball in the end zone on what was going to be a touchdown catch ended up being perhaps the pivotal play in the second half. That play showed just how much Michigan has come in both coaching and recruiting. It was only a few years ago that Mi players didn't have that kind of speed, confidence and discipline to pull off that knock out.
Michigan showed up to win. We showed up to not lose. We don’t deserve playoffs. This felt like a mid ‘90’s John Cooper game to me. Hats off to Michigan.
Michigan showed up with all of Ohio States signs after breaking several rules to do so. That's why it felt like a John Cooper game, OSU clearly the better team but somehow Michigan pulled ahead, how? CHEATING. That's how. No hats off to them at all. F those Cheaters.
John Cooper was 2-4-1 vs. Michigan at The Shoe and never lost a game to Michigan there by more than 12 points. This loss was by 22. *Much worse* than a John Cooper team, actually.
O-Hi-o was shellshocked because their entire Universe revolves around beating TTUN. It's all consuming. When JJ scored from the 3...the crowd realized they may lose.
Well, we no longer teach our QB that he needs to RUN when necessary. It's part of the Ohio State problem. I told friends for weeks that Michigan would win this game in a shocking manner. It's all about the Michigan Offensive Line. That opens up everything for the other players.
@@ev2155you all got flat out bullied in your own stadium. Your program is trending in the wrong direction and you can't develop talent anymore. Facts not Fiction.
Michigan ran them over the second half. It wasn't just two big runs. Go back and watch the game. They were getting consistent yards on the ground in the second half. In fact they were converting most of their 3rd downs RUNNING the ball. Even if it 6 or 7 yards. Those two long runs were just the knock punches after Michigan was softening them up with body blow after body blow. Second year in a row this has happened. OSU fans can't be cocky anymore when it comes to Michigan. They are punking y'all on the field now.
I was going to reference this as well when he brought up the lack of adjustments in this segment. OSU did, in fact, change their defensive scheme after getting burned a couple more times and that's when UM started having success in the run. The last two major runs was just the pipes bursting even when OSU went back to zero defense and were too worn out to maintain gap integrity
@@koo-hip9406 yup. That first half set up the second half perfectly. Michigan really beat them soundly. No other way to say it. They tried to take away their strong hand and Michigan hit em with the left and when they tried to stop that Michigan knocked them out with the right which was the plan all along.
When Josh Pate says, "Michigan Football," I think of a calmness in the battle. I think of not just confidence but a team which is very disciplined. When Ohio State Number 88 head butted one of our players, the Michigan player dropped his hands and stared at the player. That Michigan player knew that there was a fifteen yard penalty awaiting him. That's total discipline and a team as Mr. Pate would say, "A TEAM and PLAYERS that don't flinch."
@@PK1982_ I don't like our chances for winning but I certainly don't think it'll be the same sweep as it was last year. I have real hope for a close game and can still dream of a win. You guys are phenomenal team though and deserve all the favor to win that you receive
The star players for Michigan were the offensive and defensive lines. Harbaugh recruited and prepared this team like the Bo Schembechler and Woody Hayes O and D lines. Mean, tough and fast. Plus, they had a special game plan just for this one game.
Michigan can be competitive with Georgia but they would be better off not facing Georgia till the natty so they can develop their passing game and defense more !
The Michigan offense is only gonna get better and I been saying forever that Donovan Edwards is better than Blake corum as far as ceiling but corum was the safe pick for harbaugh this year
Good thing they stuck with him. most programs (Auburn, Texas, etc) have too many impatient boosters to let a coach have a prove it year like UM did in 2021.
@@afridgetoofar1818 That sounds like a disgruntled booster. Who really knows what process Harbaugh had to implement to establish the system, the culture and the recruiting support to bring this team to its current level of excellence? There are 11 other games than OSU. We need to perform across a season, not just a game to earn our props.
Gut wrenching is being a Georgia alum who spends a lot of time in Ann Arbor with friends and family who's looking at very good chance that my 1A and 1B teams are about to square off again in the CFP. I want them both to be there, I'd much rather they meet in round two, but damn I'm going to be torn again. Go Dawgs, but Go Blue, too 😆
Harbaugh and the young men in winged helmets brought home a serious piece of respect that the Michigan fans, alum, and Ann Arborites will never forget! 🙌🏼〽️
Like your insight! Like that you tell the truth without being for one Team. Would love to see a few guest on your show to bring more depth in the big games around the league! Keep up the great work.
Michigan is a tougher team and in better physical condition too. I could see the OSU defensive players gasping for air at one point in the 2nd half and knew it was over. That pounding from the O/L takes its toll and when the opposing defense gets tired, it opens up the big plays. This is why Michigan is so good in the 2nd half.
I could see Michigan D play like they knew what OSU was going to do. Like they knew in advance what play was going to be called. Almost like they had an inside man.
@@squigglyline2813 - yes I am sure Donovan Edwards two long runs for TDs were a result of sign stealing. OSU was worn down and players were gasping for air. You think Sanristil's break up of the potential TD play was due to sign stealing? Not likely. Michigan will beat OSU again this year.
I had put money on OSU spread boy I didn’t expect that.Good coaching won this ball game shoutout to Michigan fans y’all deserve to celebrate the world was against you guys.
TRUTH BOMB! Every year the announcers hate Michigan and have to fight the refs. This was the first “The Game” I watched where the refs didn’t make a call that played a factor in the outcome. Go Blue!
Jim Harbaugh finally delivered what everyone was expecting when he came back to Michigan. I think even he will admit that he thought it was going to be easier to bring Michigan back to greatness. It seemed easier to build Stanford into a great team than it has been Michigan.
That's bcuz Harbaugh was going up against a fOSU program that was recruiting at an all-time high. He was close to knocking fOSU off in 2016, but that ass cheek slapping fOSU fanboy disguised as an official fcked MI and slowed Harbaughs progress in restoring the program to excellence.
Great analysis. The pressure on the Buckeyes in this game was suffocating once the actual game started. Especially with the missed opportunities early in the game. You could see the demeanor of the OSU players change as the game went on- all because of the pressure of expectations. I lived through the Cooper years and I would see it on the Buckeyes back then until Tressel showed up. I also saw it on the Michigan players faces for the past 20 years until their breakthrough last year. It’s goi g to take special group of Buckeyes and a ton of resolve in AA next year to turn the tide back - but it can be done!
I just like watching Paul Finebaum having to admit Michigan has a good coach. OSU hasn’t been able to take it to the finish line for the last couple of years.
@@TheJojoaruba52 he sure did. Michigan would not have been as patient with any other coach and it has paid off. I think he still needs to close the deal with a National Championship to be considered a truly elite coach. Also, I don’t see this game as the blowout some are calling it. The Buckeyes kicked Michigans butt in the first half but we’re not efficient. Michigan took advantage of missed tackles, broken coverages to score 10 points with only 10 yards rushing and 4 first downs in the first half. Ohio State had 315 yards of offense and 16 first downs. Props to Michigan though for hanging around in the first half and hitting g big play after big play in the 2nd half.
This is my first time watching one of your videos. The way you communicate and deliver your takes is top notch. You should be on espn brotha man. Kudos!
Prophetic. Totally spot on. As a Michigan Alum, never lost faith in Harbaugh and the true glue that holds the team together - real confidence. Our rival's fans should take a look at Michigan sticking with Harbaugh in the lowest and least productive times. Bailing on Ryan Day is simply -- ridiculously simplistic and massively shortsighted.
Ryan Day DID try to go for it on that 3rd down when CJ was waving Special Teams off the field. If you rewatch that punt, OSU had a fake punt with a run to the left lined up PERFECTLY! But the center snapped it to the kicker instead of the direct snap to the RB.
Many in Michigan knew they had a great passing game. They held it back all year waiting for this game...They held back to the game. Then played a totally different game on both sides of the ball for each half..That is exactly what the Suckeyes have been doing for several years..Its shocking the Butteyes didnt even realize their own game was being played against them.
That Michigan 4th down conversion on the opening drive of the second half was the game changer. It happened so quick I had to rewind to make sure I had seen it correctly!
You can over analyze this game forever. The bottom line is Michigan for the second year in a row was far more physical than Ohio state. That was the difference in the game
Hey, Josh! As usual, your take on The Game is spot on. I am a Buckeye fan that remembers the Woody Hayes years, so I've been around a bit. The reason for the fan base reaction and so many calling for the dismissal of Ryan Day is that the collapse in The Game is startlingly reminiscent to what happened with Coach John Cooper. Cooper recruited at a great level and built some of the most talented Buckeye teams to ever grace the shoe.......and he went 2-10-1 against Michigan......in much the same manner - getting beaten soundly when we were highly ranked and seemingly on our way to a National Championship. I think that Ohio State made a poor decision in hiring day for one reason......he wasn't a successful major college head coach prior to coming to OSU and he is learning on the job. Both Tressel and Meyer - Ohio guys through and through - had head coach experience and understood the rivalry in a way that no outsider ever will. This fact - and I'm sure it seems petty to you - cannot be overstated. Keep up the good work and I never miss a show!
Great analysis. Amazing year and result Saturday - 13 drives (6 tds, fg, missed fg, stopped on 4th in OSU territory.) 230 yards rushing in second half. 28-3. -3 yards rushing for OSU qb. Best o and d players out. #2 back with a cast. Played #6 back. Replaced 8 starters on defense. Replaced o and d coordinators. And on and on.
First time seeing this podcast. Josh is absolutely spot-on with his analysis, and is giving voice to the issues I was observing during the game, e.g. no meaningful defensive adjustment at halftime and no mobility by Stroud. How Ryan Day could have said he was satisfied going into the locker room at halftime was beyond me then, as Michigan had already demonstrated two explosive plays that left the Buckeyes flat-footed and out-played. Kudos to Michigan...best thing they ever did was hang on to Harbaugh during the rough years. I wish them well in the CFP. Let's see if Day has the humility to recognize where he failed in his prep and actually learn lessons that can help the Buckeyes going forward.
I don't care what kind of chaos happens, with a schedule as weak as OSU's, a blowout loss at home is disqualifying from the CFP. There are 10 teams I'd put in over them after seeing that game.
I like the way you analyze a team . You totally dissect it, and point out its various strengths and weaknesses. I myself have learned a lot more about the analytics of the game listening to U than any other sportscaster in the country. Your football acumen is second to none.💯👍
Wow! First time I've watched you and I'm kicking myself for not finding you much sooner. I've heard takes and observations from you in the last 27 minutes that I have not heard from anybody else! I've been watching a LOT of shows since The Game and hearing the same thing over and over again. Until now... Thank You! I especially loved your comments on both teams players after the games this year and last. That makes the game of college football so much more human oriented instead of just numbers on a field and numbers on a sheet of paper. Looking forward to your future insights as a new SUB. Take care!
Gotta love when Ohio State gets sat down to reality. Meanwhile being soft against any real resistance. Over glamorized program. Has been for decades. P.S. I'm not a fan of either school
Funny thing is Georgia has as many National Titles as Ohio State since 1970. Keep in mind Georgia had a 40 year drought on a championship that ended last year.
My Dawgs and Michigan are similarly built. Wouldn't surprise me if both play in the Natty. I liked them all year long and even thought they looked better than last year.
@@bri0013 which makes them a lesser version lol. But if we compare the two. QB- Georgia (JJ has talent but no where near as consistent as Stetson) RB - Michigan WR - Michigan OL - Georgia (but it's close) TE - Georgia DL - Georgia LB - Georgia DB - Georgia The difference between the two is Gorgia's defense is better and Georgia is more efficient on offense.
@@mr.nobody8181 not sure how you can tell that but Georgia's A game is the best in the country. When they are dialed in they are dominant. They dominated all of their big games this year. Facing them in the playoffs is going to be a struggle for whoever it is.
I'm in a media blackout for a week, this is the one exception I'm making because this show is so great. But I'm quitting early cause it's all about Michigan. Just leaving these gems.... OSU called plays like TTUN had TWO Blake Corums and no Wide Receivers....Guess what, they had NO Blake Corum and multiple WRs, and not a single fuckin adjustment was made after half time.... the one thing OSU & Ryan Day are KNOWN FOR, is half time adjustments, and they just blew it. Second: This is the end of the season, bowl games don't mean shit now, even if we went to the CFP it don't mean shit. Even if we go to the CFP, and somehow play Michigan in the Championship and win, IT STILL DOESN'T MATTER! You may as well say OSU & UM shares the title at that point.
Better get used to MI physically imposing it's will in fOSU. It took Harbaugh longer than anticipated to bring this program back from the shit show of Hoke and RichRod before him. But the days of fOSU dominating are OVER!
Glad this video was recommended to me. Love the analysis. I don't think I could possible agree anymore with anyone else's take on the game and the current dynamics between the two programs. Liked and subscribed and rang the bell. Thanks Josh.
Josh you nailed it when you mentioned the need for QB's to be able to run the ball. Personally, I feel like the difference in the past two years in the UM/OSU game has been the fact that CJ Stroud doesn't pose a big threat to run the ball. In years past the dual threat ability of the OSU QB like Justin Fields, JT Barrett, Terrell Pryor made life for Michigan defensive game planning very difficult. Specifically, against Michigan (as a Michigan fan) I don't fear too many teams that have a pro style pocket passing QB as lately our secondary has been able to hold their own against great WR's. Again, Michigan specifically has historically had issues against mobile QB's..........just look at Stetson Bennett last year.
Oh we saw them on the sidelines Michigan is head strong and I think watching Georgia after the game they saw what it takes .Ohio thinks because they recruit so called more talent the deserved it
Good observations, Josh - from kick-off to final gun. I enjoyed a schadenfreude Sunday, listening to OSU podcasts. Remember though, many Mich fans called for Harbaugh's head on a platter, not so long ago. He took a pay cut and kept going to work.
Like you said they 'should' beat everyoen else on their schedule. I agree. So how can you say the coach's job could not be in question. It really means that with his talent he only gets to show his acumen for coaching a couple times a year. And now its two years in a row where the game wasnt close. Now I am a Michigan fan and when harbaugh was having his seat get warm i didnt think it was fair, but it was more because those games were contested, and I did think JH was doing enough with his talent even though we hadnt won against OSU. The punt game against MSU and the spot game in 2016 at the Shoe, the COVID year. But while I think there is a rush to oust a coach it is true that Day has better talent and is getting totally outcoached. When Michigan got blown out in 2018 & 2019 by OSU he got rid of Don Brown. Day needs to show he is willing to change in whatever way necessary and possible.
first off... GO BLUE. but what I love about this game was that after the game both teams hugged and gave respect to each other. Need the team down south to continue to be good so we show the US what an actual rivalry looks like.
a game changer shows up when it truly matters! Just like Tom Brady ! Winners win when it matters. JJ as a lot more big games ahead of him to prove it but this win was the first HUGE one of hopefully many!🙌🏽〽️CJ had all the ability, talent and tools surrounded around him to be the best OSU qb all time but just like the whole Program they DONT HAVE HEART! Kids woth a backbone and chip on their shoulder. Kids raised waking up at 5 am to shovel the driveways for their parents and elderly neighbors. The travels have turned. Michigan is better than Ohio State at football. The Bucks are tentative and fearful, Michigan is confident and assertive. Get used to it!!
Wth...where have I been. How have I not seen and already subscribed to this channel. Not that I am just trying to consume as much Michigan talk as possible but this was very well crafted.
I told fellow Ohio State fans for weeks that Michigan was going to win this game Shockingly. I watched all the games and the videos. It's all about the Michigan Offensive Line, that opens up the rest for the remaining skill players. Even an average back could have broken big runs at the end of that game after the O--Line had worn down the constantly overloading against the run Ohio State defense. To me it was simple. I told friends it would not matter if Blake Corum played. Few believed me. It was a lot like the 1995 game, but worse. I expect Michigan to win the National Championship probably against USC who I expect to defeat Georgia in the semi-finals. I think Michigan's hardest CFP game will be against TCU. If Ohio State makes the playoff, I expect them to beat Georgia and be in the finals with Michigan, lose again, but by a smaller margin...perhaps 4 points.
For years there was criticism and howls for Harbaugh's dismissal because he couldn't win Ohio State, Big 10 and national championship. Last year that turned around and this year everyone is Harbaugh's biggest fan. Now Day has to listen to the same nonsense. I'm a huge Blue fan and thrilled with the results of the past 2 seasons. But I hate to see armchair quarterbacks ready to throw a coach to the curb over a tough rivalry loss. As you say, time for reflection, adjustment and preparation for the next season. We need to do the same in victory. See you in Ann Arbor 2023.
Saw a great post on Reddit breaking down that the 4th and 6th punt by Ohio state in the 3rd quarter was a botched fake punt. All the signs are there. Biggest mistake for Ohio state was pulling stroud to perform a high risk high reward fake punt. Put some faith in the players.
I enjoy listening to people who are not you talk crazy about Michigan and how Harbaugh coaches his team. Most blast him because of his offensie not being like everyone else. I keep telling people that JH doesn't care what other people think and He's going to do what he believes gives them the best opportunity to win.
I love how all the talking heads gushed on Ohio state and that “they can’t be beat” and the constant disrespect Michigan got leading to it, Michigan is legit and they were all wrong in the picks, I bet Vegas made a lot of money on Saturday lol 😂
Bama rolled them in that 2020 natty game after all that smack talk by Ohio st fans they got personal with nasty insults made that beat down even sweeter !!
MICHIGAN 45 vs OSU 23 in Columbus, Ohio. God give us life and health, next season (2023) we will see Michigan finally completely annihilate all the Buckeyes fans in the Big House.
Was one of the worst defensive strategies I have ever seen in a game of this magnitude. They stacked the box and dared McCarthy to beat them. He consistently did and they made no adjustments. Secondary was lost.
As many adjustments Ohio state needs to make it seems damn near impossible. Michigans identity is running the ball which is suitable for Ohio state. Time of possession, game planning, discipline, toughness is the reason why Ohio state lost. Stroud could have thrown the ball for 500 yards and they still would have lost!
Love your insight, it's truly thought out and expressed very well. I don't say this because I'm a HUGE Michigan fan, I'd say it even if we'd have lost this past weekend. BUT WE DIDN'T! Keep up the insightful work Josh.
As an The Ohio State University fan, I want Ryan Day gone. Can't lose to "The team up north" two years in a row especially when the playoffs are on the line. I would love to have Urban back!
The big difference that has occurred is the new UM staff. Instead of implementing a system, what they now emphasize is situational football. You can see it in that they were unflappable. They were confident they can get through any scenario they find themselves in, while O St seemingly never modulates or adjusts. They are just gonna run their system no matter the result. That won’t work now. Their needs to be a change in philosophy at O St now.
Josh, your discussion about the value of “what the teams do on the field” as opposed to how the teams look on paper is so obvious that it shouldn’t need to be mentioned… but that is the pushed aside by a growing number of analysts in favor of “the grapevine” and how they feel about the teams history or the Reputation of the team or coach. So thank you for bringing reasonable logical factual analysis.

No pride!

Idk why so many of our fans make excuses. We got our asses beat. Flat out. Harbaugh and his players never faltered. It was that mindset that kept them in the game. And it’s what won them the game. Josh is not just a UA-cam pontificator, he (and his staff) are true experts in this field of understanding college football. Well done.

This is the best report on Michigan football I've ever heard hands down. 👍
If someone would’ve told me they’d score 17 points in the first half on 0 yards rushing, I would have simply said “HOW?!”
This game marked a turning point for JJ McCarthy in his Michigan career, and it was great to see him looking like the kid we all thought he was coming in.
The best part is that Sainristil was a 3 star WR. Lol
Or the sign stealing. You know, one of the two was real "pivitol".
@@jeremycordell7795Mikey got burned by that same play in the first half. He recognized it when it came around again and played it perfectly.

Well they were cheating, so........
That penalty was a big mistake for Ohio in their discipline.

Excellent analysis. I subscribed and look forward to further shows.
Every other team is playing a game. Michigan is going to work.
That's the difference.
Ohio is still a top 5 team, Michigan was just better.

And now that it's discovered he's cheating the plot thickens.
Kudos to you for posting this. takes some guts to sift through all that wreckage. Like I felt until last year.
It's always good to see people who didn't pick Michigan give their input

OSU wants no part of Georgia.
Michigan has a QB that can run and Osu doesn't times have changed. Troy Smith he killed us along with others too.
I understand these two team have a huge history and playing each other means everything but Ohio State still is 11 - 1. Still a great record.
Not how it work that game is the season u can be 11-1 and the season blow u can 1 and 11 and win that game and the season was perfect
I love how all the talking heads gushed on Ohio state and that “they can’t be beat” and the constant disrespect Michigan got leading to it, Michigan is legit and they were all wrong in the picks, I bet Vegas made a lot of money on Saturday lol 😂
Nobody on this channel ever said anything close to that. - JP
150k subs is a crime, this guy deserves much more
Was one of the worst defensive strategies I have ever seen in a game of this magnitude. They stacked the box and dared McCarthy to beat them. He consistently did and they made no adjustments. Secondary was lost.
Great analysis. I subscribed right after watching
Very insightful comments. Great original perspectives. Thank you.
He ain't coming back he making like 20 million on TV with no stress why the fuck would he dump that for 10 million a year and shit ton of stress
Go blue!!!!
