2018 mustang manifold installed and tested on a F150 truck

- I install a 18 mustang manifold on la mamalona.
I then draggy test the truck in similar conditions to see if there are any noticeable gains with the 18 mustang manifold.
No hand smacking camera transitions gotta love it 🤌😂 and music was on point 🔥
Omg I hate when people do that, hand smacking the camera!
I love videos like these from Alex, wish he did it more often
This took a total of 4 days and it won't get 8k views
I lose time and money making videos like this. Livestreams is where I make money.
Projects are always harder then what they say and the time-lapse music on point 😂
I definitely miss these videos, I love the live stuff, but these type of videos are definitely my favorite!
12.4 in an N/A truck is unreal! That 111mph too 💪🏻
good video alex, big note to take from this video is coyotes need a catch can even in stock form
I put a catch can on mine and its definitely catching oil. My manifold probably is caked in oil from the previous owner. Oh well, its getting an 18 manifold soon anyway.
Makes me miss my F150. I had the ported Boss and a P1X, was shifting at 7700rpms and was so fun!
Was it a 10 speed ? If it was how’d it feel shifting
@@Johnvwilliams0 it was, a 2019 Platinum. Felt amazing, I always drove it in Sport mode.
This subtle style of videos editing and presenting is cool.. the music 🎶 was icing on the cake.. 👌🏻👌🏻✨✨
The music in the time laps made my morning 😂
Had me rolling 😂.
The editing is definitely on point 🤣 love the music
3/10ths is no joke, solid video
Alex putting in some of that elbow greese for this video! Always appreciated
Keep truck content coming! Hopefully next couple videos are working towards that PBH Boost kit.
I feel your back pain putting that manifold on, putting an Odin in there alone REALLY sucks😂😭
The time lapse music itself made me subscribe lol love it
Great video, as always Alex!
I swapped an 18’ manifold onto my truck. All the imrc plugs at the back of the manifold seem to be plug and play but the vacuum lines weren’t long enough to reach for the brake booster so I had to rig up a hose extension and coupler for the quick release connectors to make the vacuum line longer.
The voltages are different and won't work. They sill stay closed if so it's best to lock them open.
@@YDBT4LIFE I see. So can I get that tuned?
@@samueldennis9562 if I were you I would just lock the imrc flaps open and get a tune
@@YDBT4LIFE thanks, I’ll see into that.
@@YDBT4LIFE what did you do with the plugs then since the wiring is being left unplugged?
Thanks for the great video and vetting this simple set up Alex.
What a nice birthday gift for me.
I'm about to put an 18 manifold on my 2016 GT here soon. Had to clean up the inside of the manifold with a dremel because there was excess epoxy inside the runners from when they sandwiched the thing together. I was going to port it, but I already requested a tune for it unported so I'll just save that idea for another day. In theory, it should move air a little more efficiently, just it can't move in more air because the TB/runner openings are untouched.
Its also cold and snowy up here so.... Its going to have to wait. If only I had a garage...
There is no tune revision or "different" tune needed for a ported vs non ported manifolds btw.
@@trunkslorenzana I've been looking into this and I've read different things. Some say a tune is needed, some say it isn't.
you don’t need a tune for a ported manifold. it’s the same tune
@@user-mt7qq4df4c interesting.
Looks like you ended up buzzing off the little box off the back of the Mustang manifold, is that right? Also, did you notate what size drill bits you used to create the holes for the MAP sensor and mounting screw? Did you leave the o-ring on the MAP sensor when installing and using the RTV? What RTV did you use? Just some if the finer details I had questions on as I'm doing one of these for a customer next week. Thanks for the video 🤘
Nice setup! 👍🏼Looks great under the hood too!
I’m here to help Alex with the algorithm also great video !!
All of the vacuum hoses can connect to the 18GT. It’s just not a pretty look, but it’s very functional
Do you know if tune is needed for the manifold swap?
That PMAS looks pretty good!
Well done, especially the video editing and music.
Very nice improvement 👍
Great video Alex. Very informative.
Whenever my nephson figures out how to open the hood I swear I'll swap the cam on this LS in 20 mins 😤😤
2 tenths..... that's amazing good going man
Glad I bought the pmas! Now I just need the 18 manifold for my Gen 2! 4mph is good shit man. Thanks for the videos
I’ve got one I can sell! It has the fuel rails, throttle body, and injectors.
@@Oreo_5oh I want it bro! Where can I contact you
Thanks for the truck content.
Why lockout the imrc? They work just fine. The s&b intake is the best one, it replaces the stock lower intake box. Which seems to be pretty restrictive.
AFE makes a snorkel into the airbox that is larger and smother and deletes that silencer chamber.
I put a catch on my f150 the day I bought it .
Love the truck content! Thanks for sharing Alex👍🏼
Now get headers just got mine going to get the boss intake should be in the 11s 2wd with sticky tires! 😈
Great video!
Best NA mode I've ever experienced.
That’s a considerable gain
Sorry if asked already. What year truck? I have a 2017 and I'm debating the IM.
Wouldnt some of that gain come from the pmas? If it produces 12 hp then the intake doesnt really add the whole 3 tenths . seems like not alot coming from the gt intake in my opinion vs losing low end light throttle towing power . id say do headers tune pmas and 4 10 gears
@@herbertmichaels2841 no. Lol. I already did the back to back testing.
Good video, its amazing how at points in the video you move so fast...must be the coffee 😂
Love the content!
I'm gunna get a ported for my 2020 gt and take the stock mani and put it on my 19 F150 🤘🤘
That music, alex you are hilarious
La mamalona!!!!
thank you great video love the info.
Leaving a like and comment to help with the algorithm!!
That truck is fast!!
Will a S&B match up to the 18 manifold. I’m want to upgrade from stock manifold but I don’t want to have to buy another cold air to match up. If I put the boss I was told I would have to cut my S&B.
I like the música. Échale con todo Alex
Bad ass, 111 mph is nice!
What year is your truck? Did they recommend the intake cams swap from a GT?
Is it safe to assume that the year matches manifolds? Meaning my 2019 5.0 would be able to use a 2019 GT manifold?
you think the intake would fit a 24 f150?
American muscle did 11.58 with an air intake upgrade and a 93 octane tune you’ll get a better time with 4x4 because you’ll hook up better I believe you could have gotten a better time if you were using 4x4
I miss the Mexican music in the intros for the f-150 videos!!!! No quema cuh!!!
What year is your truck? Do you still have the factory manifold? They are on national back order and I’m in need of one.
0-60 it gained .19 seconds?
.29 seconds gained in 1/4 mile?
Looks like you changed tunes. Did that play into it?
Who did your tune at Lund?
@@CoyoteMischief me
@@YDBT4LIFE You work at Lund? Confused. lol. It said Lund for tune. Just making sure I follow.
I got a question can a 21 f150 50 TB fit a 18 f150
Wonder if this would work the same with a gen 4
I know I'm jumping on a little late here, but I'm thinking about this intake for my 16 F150. It only has 30k on it, but just got the "intake runner stuck open" code. My question is, does this intake cause any loss in the low end RPM range? Thanks for your video.
Get the snb air intake
There are a quite a few videos on here about the mustang manifold on f150 …. I think American trucks even has a video where they show the performance gains compared to the cobra jet and another one … hope that helps
What did you do for the imrc vacuum on the back of the manifold? Everything on the front fit back into place perfectly? You didn’t have to adjust any hoses or make any longer?
Nope all gets deleted
@@YDBT4LIFE I deleted my imrc on the back and capped the vacuum on the back.
I’m confused on the front side of the manifold of what I’m supposed to do with the vacuum that sticks straight out (not up and down) but just coming out. What is supposed to go there? Or does that get capped as well?
who else is here after watching the 5 minute video from the retailer the intake, the one where they decided to skip every hard part of the installation.
Catch cans should be standard on every car.
Kick ass!!!!👍
I did the 1320 Junkie ported truck intake manifold on my 19’ GT. It work the car up on the lower end
Do you still have the dyno? Any plans for more dyno content?
Where you gonna get the manifolds from?
I like it a lot
Welder's mask intake 👨🏭
Poverty star? Ik I've heard you say it before.. Lol
I like this
will it pass emissions?
i run a catch can on my 2018!
what is the tire and wheel set up?
Have a sudden urge for chips and salsa
Is it me or does the air box lid look like a welding helmet? :)
Good morning good morning
Hellava gain
Haha love the musica's King Bicho
This thing would probably fuck up my supercharged gmc 😅
That music 😭😭
What catch can do you guys recommend
Upr or motion raceworks
So other than a tune what else is needed to get complete the install? Also will this improve my 0-60 and just overall driving experience 🧐
I’m gonna get a local race engine shop install for me most likely but I’d like to give them everything necessary
Needs another intaker
Buenos nachos
Tequila !!
Put it on your dyno.

.3 that's awesome you n/a peasants 🤣
Alex you're a disappointment I thought you were going to have ported fuel rails
I just hit play. Wonder how long it’ll be before he starts bashing Biden again. 😂
