Good show , we hunt ground hogs here, but the coyotes have cleaned them out the last few years , but it’s a top notch fun sport !! Your wife is a cutie !!!
Awsome. Henry's are the best hunting rifles being made today. Im a Henry and Winchester man for life. My Winchesters have been in the family since 1898. My henrys give them a little rest. I use them hard, but take very good care of them
From watching other Henry channel videos, I know that Whitney is a great cook. But there’s no way any of those prairie dogs are getting the home cooking skills that Whitney has! 🤣 Thanks for the video. That looks like fun. 👍🏽
When gopher shooting, it helps a lot if everyone wears electronic ear muffs. There is no need to shout or whisper . PS, the calibers you have are perfect for gophers.
There is a big Prairie Dog town in a large lot next to me. It's in city limits, but I sneak out once in a while, and take down a sod poodle or two with a Hatsan .22 air rifle. They are hard to get because they are easily spooked.
You think it could be possible for you guys to recreate the Volcanic pistol in 45 LC and 44-40 WCF? Could yall also release an updated version of the Long Ranger Express rifle so it can accept AR-15 mags or at least Mini-14 mags?
Great video and having your wife with you makes it perfect. I have the Henry SGR...I know I'll probably have to scope it for my 60 year old eyes but I've yet to see the lever and scope "look" decent. Maybe someone can recommend a setup?
Leave 'em for the coyotes. If you ever had to have the vet come out and put down your $2000 penning horse because it stepped into a 'dog hole, you'll know that even coyotes are too good for these whistle pups. Prairie dogs are quite destructive when it comes to large livestock.
Wait Don't shoot at the first ones up they are the guard dogs shoot at the one not close to them! you get more shooting before they go down. Try to each pick one and shoot at the same time.
Henry rifles have been nothing but a waste of money for me . I don’t get cherry picked models straight from Henry like you so my experience has been less than stellar with the hot wheels special zinc alloy junk.
not a hunt, lets call it what it is, an ambush. Lets try some real hunting, go out into the wilderness with just a stick and your wits, stay there a couple of days, or weeks, see what happens. mountain lions, bears, etc. etc.
You can make excuses why you kill another living thing. Real tough guys hiding in the weeds killing living creatures. Close ups are DISGUSTING. Shame on you...
Funny you say that as I do work with a dog rescue helping and saving living creatures as I find it far more rewarding than killing them for my own pleasure. Heck I never even enjoyed beating up on the weak kids back in school. @@7mm08man
No animals need completely eradicated. Just controlled. I work for the first and best wildlife agency in the world. And I'm proud and very lucky for my jod
Whitney gets the "wife of the year" award, hands down! Love this video, love my Henrys', keep up the good work!
Family bonding, having fun, enhancing skills, and helping others with a problem. Could this get anymore wholesome, or old school America?
Well said
Whitney should be a regular! We need more ladies involved!
Agreed.😊
Why?
Love my Henrys. And love Henry videos. Your wife is a great addition. Keep up the good work.
Well, Cody and Whitney, good job, it was a small culling operation, but it was fun watching! Gotta love those Henry's!
Now that was a very nice video. It is great your wife likes to get out and shoot. I am jealous.

Great Shot Whitney. Henry for Life !!!!!!!!!!!!
Sometime I'm going to head west for a prairie dog hunt. I love Woodchuck hunting.

“Here, doggy doggy!”

What's your distance to the prairie dogs? (Guesstimate or range-finder?)
Nice! Looks fun!
Yeah she does...
God bless your family. Life is good.
Wife Husband combination that's super, Cody is right need more young people hunting.
Nice Music!
17 is perfect but 308 is even better lol there's a farmer with a bunch about 2 miles from town. They're cute but cant have cattle breaking legs!

bababa pow! wow those things slap so hard hahaha
Henry. The Best.
Great video !!!!
Prairie dogs and woodchucks, are good training for new hunters. Patients, stalking skills and knowing your weapons abilities, makes better hunters.

As an Aussie when I think of dogs I think of ferals.
These things remind me of Caddyshack
Šikovná holka ❤😢
y'all never kill anything with your 22LR, I asked for a video over a year ago on 22LR Raccoon
KANSAS Y’ALL
How do those prairie dogs eat?
What was the distance?
What exactly do you do with them after you shoot them?

Who cares? If you don't know, you should realize that they are cannibalistic. They will eat each other when they are dead.

I didn't even know prairie dogs were good to eat.
just can't figure out what the carrot in her ear is.

Marksmanship REQUIRES OPEN SIGHTS, single shot 022 LR and hand held with no bipod.
Even a 6 ear old can get a perfect score using their toys.
Lmao, you have no idea, bud. Stop watching Hollywood flicks and go touch some grass.
4 min of you running your mouth ..2 shots then back running the mouth

Wow lookit yoo, so noble, soo evolved, maybe you could start a "prairie dog recue & rehabilitation" LOL.

.........said the vegetarian college student.
I love prairie dogs but they are such a problem for so many ranchers that they need to be totally eradicated in many cases. Go Henry Arms !!!

@@JeffreyCotle Eradicated !! Plain and simple and they always come back. 👎🏻
I think 🤔 you both had some nice shots. I enjoyed watching.
