    1. Description
    Hermes Airlift Services is an easy to set up yet versatile and customizable script that enables heli airlift in a scenario. The mission creator defines
    the "base" game logic, heli(s) to serve as an aerial taxi for units to be transported on demand.
    HAS also provides an accompanying background chat for communications specific to typical situations, that could break procedure.
    The script is written mostly for singleplayer, so multiplayer compatibility is not guaranteed.

    2. Features
    - Airlifting for units to a chosen destination or back to base.
    - Task initialized by radio call or by entering a helicopter at base.
    - Map click to choose a destination.
    - Helicopter will wait until all units are aboard and give the action to go to a new destination or RTB.
    - Variety of customization options through the userconfig.
    - Ability to cancel pending airlift.
    - The ability to point to an alternative LZ if landing is not possible at the chosen coordinates.
    - Daylight smoke, and night signals (flares) to mark the chosen extraction LZ.
    - Text radio chat communications or audio & text from the vanilla airlift support module.
    - Customizable call limits - set to -1 and have unlimited calls, set it to 4 and have only 4 call heli missions.
    - Possibility of adding new units and helis on the fly.
    - Logic handles special situations (not enough cargo space, heli destroyed/unable to fly etc.).
    - Optional auto embark*/disembark, *except for player controlled units and player lead groups.
    - On teamswitch all playable units defined in the userconfig will get the "call helicopter" action provided one being switched to is the player.
    - Fastroping
    - Supply drop (Slingload or Parachute)
    - Destination choice action now appears, when heli is landed at pick up pos (no waiting for all to board, radio call) or when at least one of appointed units boards any appointed heli
    (first one boarded will be used)
    - Four actions to change flight ceiling on-the-fly
    - Virtual Arsenal for the Supply Drop
    - Editor based module

    The video here which will guide you through the configuration and setup of the module, as well as demonstrate some of the features too.
    Lastly Rydygier is working on making the script version work on a dedicated server, and once he has the script version
    working he will update the module too.

      Thank you sir, most are my ideas, with a few from feedback, and Rydygier scripted it, more information on the release thread i have pinned at the top of the comments, but ya i agree it was much needed, and its a great option, always wanted to call for a heli and then have to give a signal somehow so the heli can locate you.

    UPDATE
    version 1.8 now released!
    Changelog:
    - Alternative CAS pattern: "SAD", based on vanilla SAD waypoint.
    - Old pattern now is named "HOVER".
    CAS pattern is chosen just after the call via mouse actions.

    I think you mod has issues with opening cut scenes because it works in my test level but not my main level, only difference is a cut scene, using the mod from Prairie fire DLC

      @@Gunter_Severloh Okay so my test level following the video everything works exactly it's supposed to, In my main level I open with a cut scene which I use the prairie fire camera cut scene, So you start in a helicopter taking off from an aircraft CarrierSo I'm thinking the code to make that work is conflicting with the module somehow, Because my test level is just a straight start there's no cut scene or starting in a helicopter. How I have you and the helicopter is basically your beach players program as cargo or something like that

      @@Gunter_Severloh last part of the issue button left, both game starts show messages HEMS1.9, test level then shows the icons top left, main level bottom left hand corner messages then nothing

      Why would you ask anyone when im the author?
      Just place a module, set the settings you want, place your heli's you want, make sure the module is in between the helis or the helis base, then sync the module to the player or players that will have the ability to call a heli, done.

    hi GS, is there a way to edit the supply crate's contents, I want to have specific weapons and ammo in it so I can instruct AI to rearm from it without it being an Arsenal

      There should be a box for classnames in the module i think, been a while since i looked at it but, if you have the classnames that might work.
      Maybe ask Rydygier on the release thread he can better tell you.

      Welcome, You can watch the other videos related to this one that demonstrate the other features and functions too, which will give you a better idea of how it all works. Soon i will record a video tutorial for the setup for the script version.

      @@Gunter_Severloh Nice. Actually I was trying to implement scripted version in one of my Liberation missions but it is not working. Even using your example mission for the script version. That's ok. I will wait for your next video to know how to make it work. Thanks for your contribution man. PS: Idea. any chance to implement a list of helos to choose between diferent models to call transport?

      For your idea, your saying have a list of those helis in the action menu you can choose to call for support, i think its possible, it would need to be coded to do that, all you would need to do aside to add the code would be to just sync the heli's you would want, but i will ask Rydygier on the forums who is the one that codes the script and module, see what he thinks, thanks for the feedback!

      Hi. In 1.4 you have the choice if use fast rope or not each time you choose destination (thus you have two destination choice mouse actions, one per delivery method), so you can each time adjust way of disembarking according to expected situation at target location. Because of that fast rope setting in module settings/userConfig.sqf became obsolete/redundant/futile, so I removed it.

      Heres how it works, when you call for transport, once the heli lands, and you get in, in your action menu you will get 3 options:
      Transport to another location (touchdown)
      Transport to another location (fastroping)
      RTB
      So if you choose the fastroping option the heli will take you to your chosen destination via map click and then once he arrives, then you will be fastroped there, if you chose the touchdown option then he will land the heli, and rtb is return to base.
      In the update, the changelog stated the new change somehow i missed it to, lol but this is what it said which Rydygier pointed out to me:
      - at destination choice two variants for choosing target location: touchdown, for traditional landing, and fast rope. Fast rope switch in userConfig removed;

    Is there a way to get this to work for two helis at the same time? Do I have to be in the helicopter for this to work? I want to incorporate this in a heli transport squadron.

      Hi, offhand im not sure, best to ask Rydygier who is my partner behind the mod, he does all the coding, the release thread linked above will take you to the thread, and Rydygier should respond within a day as hes on the forums everyday, he would know how to do it.

    which button do you use to call in the support?

      In the module you can configure it, so open the module (double click) and go down to where you see this name : Use support Menu
      If that is set to yes then you will be using the radio menu, for that you press 0 and then 8 on your keyboard which then you will see Heli transport and below that Heli support.
      Now if you set it to no, then you will see the call for transport, and call for supplies in your action menu.
      Understand?
