Great camping gear ideas. The doggie bed/sleeping bag impressed me. Rio is your " best-est " friend, and you treat her as such. Much respect for your mindfulness. Always wanted to check out Cathedral Gorge. Now that park service has reservations, much more possible. Gourmet chef too. Will be camping at Kershaw-Ryan this month in my Class C. At 67 and surviving cancer, but neuropathy in feet, and "nurse back" after 40 years; comfort and safety important. Jumping in and off tail gates are a memory. Yet, like you and Sweet Karli, getting out for those desert sunsets, camp fire and an adult beverage is what makes life, and my retirement all the better. Great content, sharing site with my camping tribe.
Yes! Definitely check out Cathedral, the online reservation system will definitely help make this area more accessible so you dont have to worry about not finding a spot. Couldnt agree more, gotta enjoy our time while we can :) Thanks for sharing, appreciate it!
Good video. My wife and I took our mothers there a couple years ago. We did the day ride where they stopped at the town so we could explore. They had the pumpkin patch there too.
Thats awesome! Unfortunately we didnt see the pumpkin patch but I think we saw a sign for it! Maybe next year we'll have to check that out! Thanks for watching!
You've been busy! I just watched your wall sack prototype for the GFC! Awesome concept and it looks like it'll be really handy up in the tent! Great work
Oh come on man!!! you gotta make your french toast with the leftover bacon grease 🤣Looks like a good time. We usually go to spring valley 8or9 times a year, and have stayed at cathedral gorge a couple of times. It definitely a unique place. And that desert wind is no joke this time of year!! lol. Can't wait for the next one keep it up!!
Just found your channel excellent content. You need to check out Eagle Valley reservoir. About 25 miles east of Pioche. Hi desert resivor with very nice campgrounds and or dispersed camping. Keep them coming. I'm a native Nevadan lots to explore here.
Thanks Daniel! Glad you enjoy the content. I did see Eagle Valley on the map! I'll add that to our list of places to visit, it may be a bit too cold to head up there now but maybe a good place to check out in the summertime! Agreed! So much to explore out here and one of the reasons we moved to the area, thanks for watching! Cheers!
We got it on sale from Costco actually! Lol we were originally using it on our kitchen burner but then realized how perfect it fit on our double Coleman stove so its now a camp kitchen item. Here's the link if you want to check it out! amzn.to/3LtHG0l Thanks for watching Jim!
Thanks for sharing! About to camp in some cooler temps with the family (lots of warm bodies) but not in the 30s! Wondering if you had the small window vents partially open? Wondering if that would help or let too much heat escape?
We had a little zipper open on the window but i think with how much heat we were putting out it didnt help much lol we also forgot to run the fan which didnt help us fight the condensation either lol
I love your videos !! Just one question I keep scratching my head about -- with all the constant unpacking and repacking the GFC which happens, on the average, a dozen times per video every time you arrive, then depart, a campsite, why don't you and Karli simply get a camp trailer ??? It would eliminate much of the unpack/repack chore (...or do you love that chore ??). Bob Lab
We’ve thought about trailers in the past but honestly I’m not a huge fan of towing stuff around. I like how agile we are with our current setup and our maneuverability especially on public lands and trails. Your right though, trailers are tempting for the ease of packing/unpacking and they are way cheaper than vans lol thanks for watching!
@@Kadenventures Kaden, when I'm next passing thru Las Vegas on my to Utah from SoCal, I'll stop by and briefly visit you and Carly to show you my very compact Australian 🦘 Off-Road Sierra which has more available storage than twice what you haul around in your GFC. I bought it from the U.S. exclusive dealership which happens to be in Las Vegas (XGrid, Loren Walker). Go there and check out the AOR Sierra. The Aussies are world champions at off-road trailers since they essentially invented "Overlanding" decades ago. But if towing isn't for you, then more power to you. 🌺 Maui Bob 🤙
Wonderful trip and camping video! Thank you for sharing. Love to see Y’all with the pup traveling.
Glad you enjoyed the video! She loves it as well when we bring her out with us :) Thanks for watching!
R2D2 - Ha!

Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching Melanie!
The ShittCo awning kit is great for preventing any condensation drip!
Definitely helps to air out the tent thats for sure! lol Thanks for watching!
Thank you for the time and the effort and the energy that you put into these videos. I always appreciate it when I see them come up in my feed.
