According to the novelization for the 2nd film, when she says to Alexander Corvinus that his sons are both monsters who create more monsters, she was not excluding herself from that statement. She does also acknowledge that Anything and *Everything* that she'd done, as Viktor's most-Loyal Death Dealer AND to Avenge her slain-family, could all be lain at Alexander Corvinus for *NOT* doing anything about William, Markus or even Viktor (even though Viktor was not one of his sons, Alexander, as Viktor's Contemporary, knew Viktor's true character).
They needed the plot point when killin Amelia, or the film couldn't just go like that, but I feel like she should at least be able to scape mostly without injury, we can argue that she was taken by surprise tho, and that's the only option really, since her age and training would give her the power to probably kill a pack alone, and then scape.
Marcus was really only stronger than Victor after he became a hybrid don't forget he kept Victor from killing him by saying if you kill me, we all die this implies he feared Victor. As for being stronger than Seline in raw strength maybe but unlike Victor and Seline he was not a warrior or even shown to have been as skilled combatant as Seline and Victor. Indeed, out of everyone Victor is probably the only one that could match Seline in combat skills, but Victor like Seline had spent centuries as a warrior. Marcus on the other hand was just old which is really the only reason he's even on this list age and being a hybrid.

I would move David up to Amelia's position at the very least. After being resurrected by Selene, we know the ability to walk in daylight gets transferred to him, so it's safe to assume other powers and/or abilities Selene possesses also gets transferred. Adding to his already capable combat prowess and elder bloodline. Also him admiring Selene is an understatement, he's in love with Selene haha.
He was more powerful, but Viktor was more skilled and experienced. It's hard to say who was stronger. I think by modern day, Marcus was stronger. But back in the medieval days, Viktor was stronger due to skill and experience.
My only negative is I think David should have been in the top 5. That's just my opinion though. I think he is a very strong vampire. He also has some of Selene's blood in him too which greatly increased his power!!!! Loved this video though!!!! Such a great movie franchise!!!!!!
The lore makes no sense. The Lycan scientist viktor killed in the mansion was very clear that they needed an untainted strain of the Corvinus virus & that it would not work on Marcus as he had already undergone mutation into a vampire. Following his logic (presumably based on experimentation) the blood that infected Marcus should have reacted violently & killed him.
He definitely had vampire blood during his capture. So I would say no. As the pre-lycan strain was dominant over vampire. Which is why William lost himself and couldn't change back. Marcus had the watered down lycan strain which was around the same as the vampire 1. Meaning he could evolve.
Sorry but you're wrong about Viktor being stronger than Marcus. Marcus was the son of Alexander Corvinus and gave Viktor his powers. Viktor was the boss because he had control of the army but he wasn't stronger than Marcus.

The underworld series is underrated, in my opinion. I always preferred their explanation of how vampires and lycans came to be, including the original being nothing more than an immortal human. Side note, during the purge, Selene could have created an army of day walking vamps. Just sayin... 2nd side note: I would have liked to see a movie solely about when Marcus turned Victor and Amelia. Bill Nighy is one of my all-time favorite actors. His portrayal of Victor was so good. If someone ever pondered the question of what an elder vampire would really be like you'd just need to point to Victor like, "This dude, this dude is what they'd be like... 100% this dude. When I was a kid I actually encountered someone with lycanthropy. It’s a psychological condition, whereby the person feels like they are transforming into something, they then learn about wolves and werewolves and latch onto the idea that they’re a werewolf 😂
All The UnderWorld 5 films to date are A wonderfully volatile, bloody excellent.. And and their all equally bastarding deserving off their own 15 certificates and 18 certificates.. Then there's the animated UnderWorld film Endless War which take place in between most off the 5 films but not all 5 films..
I don't think victor could handle Marcus at basically any point. His influence was his role as an elder, his personal strength was secondary. Still, neat vid.

So in Underworld movies vampires grow/age, like humans since you say that David was born and is only twenty-five years old when the purge began. Also he has a mother and also a father... like a human.
It's a bit strange, for what we can see, I'd say in Underworld, vampires can reproduce, and when they are converted, they stay at that age forever, but when born, they age until they reach their prime, and then stop there, that's the only theory I can manage to think of.

To me this doesn't make sense, surely Alexander Corvinus should hold the number one spot for a number of reasons such as him being the first of his kind and Seline needing his blood to defeat Marcus (which is another confusing story in itself). Marcus was only able to kill his father because he refused to raise a hand against his own son no matter the consequences. Oh and I forgot Marcus should be number 2 as Seline got lucky, even with Alexander's blood

Varga was a soldier loyal to the community, so even if stronger, he followed whoever he though would bring the best to that, at that time, he thought she was the best option, but when faced with proof that someone better was available, he just turned on her, so it's like he was stronger, but decided she was the best option as leader at the time, so he followed her.
I mean, she was over run by dozens of lycans on a closed space and by surprise, I'd like to think that being as powerfull as Viktor, and having the same training as Seline, she could've scaped, but yes, they did her dirty there, they needed her dead to move the plot how they wanted. As for Viktor on top of Marcus, he just wasn't regular when "deciding" what the deciding factors are in power ranking, he probably put Viktor higher because of his influence, since the Death Dealers where only loyal to him, so he with his influence, would be stronger than Marcus, but then, that would be the same when comparing with Seline, so I don't know.
He just counted his influence, since Viktor has the Death Dealers on his side, so Marcus would lose against the army, not against Viktor by himself, wich makes no sense, since the same could be said about Seline, he was just irregular with his decisions.

Why Alexander not at #1
He was an immortal, but he wasn't vampire nor lycan, he was basically human with special blood, just like a patient 0 with no symptoms.

It's a bit strange, for what we can see, I'd say in Underworld, vampires can reproduce, and when they are converted, they stay at that age forever, but when born, they age until they reach their prime, and then stop there, that's the only theory I can manage to think of.

I think it’s cuz Seline was turned by Victor 1st, then obtained Markus’ father’s blood and the received metamorphosis by Amelia’s coven.
To me this doesn't make sense, surely Alexander Corvinus should hold the number one spot for a number of reasons such as him being the first of his kind and Seline needing his blood to defeat Marcus (which is another confusing story in itself). Marcus was only able to kill his father because he refused to raise a hand against his own son no matter the consequences. Oh and I forgot Marcus should be number 2 as Seline got lucky, even with Alexander's blood

Varga was a soldier loyal to the community, so even if stronger, he followed whoever he though would bring the best to that, at that time, he thought she was the best option, but when faced with proof that someone better was available, he just turned on her, so it's like he was stronger, but decided she was the best option as leader at the time, so he followed her.

As for Viktor on top of Marcus, he just wasn't regular when "deciding" what the deciding factors are in power ranking, he probably put Viktor higher because of his influence, since the Death Dealers where only loyal to him, so he with his influence, would be stronger than Marcus, but then, that would be the same when comparing with Seline, so I don't know.
