I’m well into my 60s and found you both recently thru my fascination about van life. I have a great life so don’t get me wrong but if van life had been accessible to me as a beach girl in the 1970s, I think my life might have been very different. As we didn’t have the internet then, it simply would have been too hard to support the lifestyle. People certainly did it then but it would have been much harder. Even now, tho I use social media to a degree, I haven’t really been interested because it takes up SO much time that I could be living IRL but I like to keep up with what’s new, keeping up with the kids as they say - so I’ve been checking you out. I’m impressed by how self aware you both are. Your innate feminism (shocking it’s not in every woman IMO) gives me hope for the future! I didn’t get that until I was about 40!! 😅You are truly inspirational even to us older gals living in houses. ❤ it! My question: boys/men seem to be finding the new definition of womanhood to be very difficult to adjust to (and I think some of the ugly DMs you get from guys comes from that confusion, which leads to anger). Do you perceive young men your age being more or less able to cope with the new ‘feminism’ (I call it being yourself but some people like labels)? I feel like some of the push back we are experiencing is because men have been trouble adjusting to changes in social norms for women, sexual ambiguity or where they fit into a non-gendered society that seems to be developing. Everything from predatory behaviour (stalking, drink spiking, etc) to simply, how to talk to girls now! I think boys/men are struggling to relax and just be a person who doesn’t need to control everything. I’d love to hear your fresh perspective!
I want to go nomadic in the next couple of years once my daughter graduates high school....how did you get started? I don't think I could DIY my rig, but would love some advice as to where to go if you know!
Thank you both for what you do. I know some people can be VERY rude and hurtful and I hope it is not a majority of the people who respond. I truly hope you both have learned not to obsess on the negativity and focus on the positive comments. Either way you really have to have thick skin with the way people feel so free these days to be complete assholes. I think it would be helpful if you discussed how your families handled you “coming out” - I really don’t understand why we call it that but whatever.
Love your videos and your outlook on life in general and van life in particular. You both seem to have a very solid understanding of who you are. I do have one criticism, however... sure wish you could voice your opinions and feeling without the 'like' you know 'like' in 'like' virtually every other sentence. It becomes quite distracting to try to listen to what you're saying without 'like' feeling 'like' that word has to be part of 'like' everything you say. Having said that... still hoping you do more vids soon! Thanks for being who you are!
I’m curious how many of your viewers post? I watch UA-cam videos and often give a thumbs up if I enjoy a creators video but I hardly ever comment. Seems like I’m missing another part of the videos by not reading the comments.
About all those hate comments: And then there are so many girls who have the same dream and love every video or story you post but never comment how much you mean to them🫶🏼🫶🏼
