Simon Phillips played in the studio as a session drummer on the Sin After Sin for the recording of Sin After Sin but did not stay for the tour and that's when Les Binks joined the band for the Sin After Sin worl tour.

Also, why is Derek never with the rest of the band in the videos? We only ever get to see him tinkling the ivories in his studio!
Same goes for Greg Howe playing his parts in from home. Vocals also seem to have been recorded elsewhere. I also very much doubt that the music we hear here and the video we see are from the exact same takes.
@@DetlevSchwabe Greg's performing in the video, alongside Mohini, Simon and Matt, although there are little studio-based bits of him too. No Derek though! Guess he couldn't make the video shoot?

Very cool! Great project! But in terms of sound.....it sounds very overcompressed and lifeless, sorry.
the voice is overcompressed to make up for the singer's lack of chops. but the music is not overcompressed, it's well-mixed and produced. the vocals, definitely, 100 percent, and, to repeat, it's because the singer has a weak voice. However, it's just about taste. I like the underperformed vocals and the overcompression. I get tired of vocalists with good chops and perfect production. I produce music, too, and have fusion chops. Hell, I get tired of fusion and technical music, talk about lifeless..
No idea how this entered into my YT feed, but I just loved this! The music immediately reminded me of Kings X (hint of Ty Tabor vocals), but brings an eclectic mix of 90s prog/rock with a modern feel. I also love that the band consists of players I followed and saw in concerts, while growing up in the 80s/90s during my guitar playing years. Subscribed, and looking forward to hearing more!
