This idea could be so useful for many occasions. When the kids come for Christmas they have a bag to carry gifts home. Then after Christmas it can be used as a pillow to relax or read. Great project Laura.

I always enjoy your sewing videos & have been following on for some years.
However, just wondering why so many quilters, sewers & others, call pillow cases “pillows”..?? As we all know a ‘pillow’ is something you place under your head to sleep on, & usually made of foam, feathers or something similar. The casing that you cover a pillow with, is usually called a ‘pillowcase’.
Perhaps it’s just a thing that’s caught on…like many other sayings & pronunciations.
Oh my. Just found you. This is such a fun and easy idea. And best I have fat squares. I want to use the bags for my crochet projects. And I can use holiday prints for my holiday crochet projects
I love this two fer project. You could also make this using scrap fabric and make this pillow bag.

So cute! Could even be stuffed with a finished pillow that has its own cover, and be themed as a gift. For instance a monogrammed pillow inserted for newlyweds, a housewarming, new baby, student going to a dorm, etc.

Thanks. What a great way to use fat quarters. What a cool idea this is 😺👍perfect for even a stay over night for kids they have their own pillow and can carry their clothes in the bag and flip it over for their pillow. Back in the day these would’ve been called pajama bags if you used it like this
