I never cried for a deceased public figure but I've already shed so many tears for Chester. Poor soul, eventhough I never knew him I'm just 100% convinced that he was a pure being, benevolent and compassionate.
There’s something so visceral about hearing a song you never heard before that was going to be on one of your most cherished albums from childhood. It’s like accessing a deleted scene from your life
Song is 21 years old, came out last year. How was this in the time capsule so long. Thank you lord that this song, Lost, and More the Victim exist now.
This is the one. This takes me back to my 13 year old self in 2003 with my Meteora CD spinning in a handheld player with headphones turned so loud it hurt staring at the ceiling. I'd continue listening to Meteora and Hybrid Theory well after my teens, I grew up with those songs from Linkin Park and understanding the words and passion in their music more and more as I grew. The impact they had on my life, and reading the countless comments under this video in so many languages show how powerful their music was and transcended not only language but culture. Thank you Linkin Park for opening up yourselves years ago and making music that would help countless people in so many ways. Each of you together created something larger than life. Thank you.
Just purely scrolling through the comments, the range of languages show the amazing impact this band had internationally. And the impact they continue to have. Thank you for the years of music. Thank you for opening the vaults and allowing us to hear the band once again on songs we’d never heard before. And just overall thank you.
I was thinking the same thing. And the number of likes. Fall Out Boy's new song has like 5k and this has over 100k lol Linkin Park is still incredibly popular and influential all over the world
Speaking of never hearing songs before, the guitar riff in the intro of this song.... I think it's the guitar riff from Hit the Floor but in reverse...
@@metalwargreymon9250 I thought Mike's rapping sounded very similar to Hit the Floor too. Maybe that's why it didn't make the album. He said Lost wasn't on there cause it sounded too similar to Numb
Whats incredible about these new songs is that just for a moment we can all feel like chester is still with us, and we cannot thank you enough for that, much love
@@Adam00794 While it's technically old songs, these tracks are previously unreleased, not leaked before too, we had no idea these are even existed so... These can be labeled as new songs maybe
@@daisaq Not leaked before but we did know they existed years ago back in 2006 Mike talked about many unreleased songs and possible remixes but nothing much happened after that and Chester's death is the only reason they got released.
These previously unreleased tracks are just rocking my world. I can appreciate them even more now than I would have been able to before. This band is legendary.
Would’ve never thought as a fan of Linkin Park at 12 years old that there would be unreleased tracks 20 years later.. it’s like Chester never went away ❤
@@KanyewestFT1W yeah like the hybrid theory anniversary release has at least that many tracks on it, and for the most part they're all unique tracks. It's nuts

Words can’t describe how “happy” I am that these songs weren’t lost forever and that we get to hear more of Chester’s amazing voice, talent and raw energy and this great band as a whole. I’ve never liked rap music but Mike’s vocals have always been an enhancement to every song. And of course without Dave, Joe, Brad and Rob these songs and this band wouldn’t be as great. We love you all! Thank you for everything you have been able to give to your fans.

I don't think any of us in 2023 thought we'd hear a new song from Linkin Park with Chester in it. This is simply amazing and I hope they find more songs in the archives. RIP Chester.
I still have a hole in my heart after all these years, it was so magical to hear their voices together, especially Chesters, it was the weirdest feeling like he was right here with me, I can't even explain it.
Now they deign for their mistakes but they really enjoyed when they booed him and told him everything in his last concerts for his latest album, which was pop. This is so sick, it's like I'm a kid in the early 2000's again. These last two tracks have been incredible - I really hope there's more. Thank you, Linkin Park!
Waking up with a brand new Linkin Park song, for the second time in a matter of weeks, is just priceless, there’s no other way to describe it. I’m crying out of happiness. Thank you Linkin Park ❤
Waking up and seeing a NEW Linkin Park song is absolutely PRICELESS! The distinctive musical score, but more importantly, Chester's vocals brings a smile to my face and an energy boost for my day! Thank you, Linkin Park!
"Falling for grace i watch it all come apart, knowing i could have changed it all from the start" God this resonates so deeply with me.. Such a great song
Bro, Meteora was just that good. Mike said it in an interview but they wanted to prove the haters wrong about Hybrid theory being a fluke, science experiment.
Artists should just include every damn song they wrote, chances are some fans will love them. Stadium Arcadium by RHCP and In Rainbows by Radiohead are two CD albums that have a bunch of bangers.
IMO there are thousands and thousands of really awesome bands out there, including many that make music on the level and similar in nature to LP. But _the ways_ music is predominantly published and consumed today, doesn't lend itself to discovering new bands/artists, songs and genres, with anywhere remotely close to the organic ease which we have been sold and might imagine from quick first impressions. And honestly a lot of that which _might_ be a good fit for your taste, is drowned out so much else. It's certainly out there. But you often need to go actively looking for it, as more often than not the algorithm of your tastes and preferences seem to severely mislabel them.
Such a phenomenal masterpiece. It perfectly describes the life of one who's constantly struggling against their inner monsters now unleashed. Damn, what a bone-tingling lyric.
This song is an example of how nostalgia can hit you hard. It reminds you of the hard times alongside the good times. Chester lives on through his music.❤
Dear Linkin Park, Thank you for sharing with us unreleased songs from the Meteora era. That warms the heart. I know Mike Shinoda said that Linkin Park will never come back without Chester. And he's right, Linkin Park without Chester is not the same. On the other hand, Mike is one of the emblematic voices of the band. His verses are just amazing on every songs. We miss Chester so much, but we miss Mike's voice and the band's instrumentals too. I survive depression, Linkin Park save me when I was rockbottom. Their songs is my blood. Chester is alive in me. RiP. Thank you again for this great song!
When I feel low I listen to One More Light and remember he'd like us to live. I know that when he says he cares he means it because he knows what it's like. "And you're angry, and you should be, it isn't fair" gets me every time. "Lost" is perfect for the rough times I went through, but Chester and LP will lead the war against depression for all time. I regret not telling him myself how special he is, but I know hundreds others did. To me he never died. I feel bad for the fans that live knowing it.

@@JohnBrown-ig5nc I think the record company has its own rules or policy when releasing a track. Sometimes the record company is too imperative with the decision making.
Maybe it wasn’t finished? Idk for sure but the parts of it that sound chopped up might have been improvised because they didn’t have anything in the recording for those parts of the song.

Feels so unbelievable, a song that was recorded 20 years ago is being released now and it almost feels like a new single and an upcoming album is on the way yet it is not. Only if in an alternative universe this was released back then - would have been a classic evergreen song now yet it will be in about 20 odd years. The thoughts I'm having are pretty difficult to describe right now. What a banger of a song! Chester then, now, forever :)
the song could have been on an album and easily holds up to the rest released back then but for me it feels wrong to listen to idk why. i feel happiness and sadness at the same time. almost had to cry because of this weird combination when i listened to this with my brother yesterday and i think he felt similar
Unreal that a song recorded 20 years ago “that didn’t make the cut” is better than any song released currently. What a special gift this band has. The emotion that mike and Chester always bring is so raw and real, because it is real and not just trying to make a popular track. Thank you for saving these gems for when we needed them most LP, this track is far more appreciated now than the shadow it possibly would have been in 20 years ago

Yes, and also fun fact: you can clearly as day see how well music was made back in the day. Everything from Meteora forward was really astray from the essence. Weather someone like it or not, those are the facts.
@@Adam_StefaniakSaltea_Moonspell That's your opinion though, at the end of the day. Dunno what you really mean by "essence". It's actually a good thing when bands move on and experiment instead of rehashing the same sound and method time and time again. And that's exactly what LP did over the years.
@@NazoKG development is good when a band is able to hold to it's roots. A lot of bands lost that during the evolution. At some point it was not evolution anymore but massive mainstream pop-like production. One album after another, all alike. The crossover that they had was gone - too soft. That is a fact one may like that music other don't, that my friend is subjective. You might grasp what I mean in time, or may not but that is really irrelevant. I never was a huge Linkin Park fan, also havent been since Chester left us. Only listened to the same few songs over the years. But since I heard the new song of the new Band, "The Emptiness Machine", I pay more attention to the lyrics and I realized, I identify myself with the songs, it feels like Chester was talking to us via the lyrics. Or not even talking to us but he just emptied his mind into the songs. It feels like he is telling us a story. A story which ended tragically. For us. For him it was a relief. Fight yourself, people! Dont let your demons win the upper hand! Be blessed.

Thank you.

"Fighting Myself"
[Mike Shinoda:]
Now, sometimes these thoughts in my head speak so loud
Every little thing that I think about just built on top of the pain and doubt
Even though I wanna just let it out, I
Try to act like I don't mind it, try to keep my mouth so quiet
But sittin' there in my silence, just seems to amplify it
When I thought that keepin' this inside would make it better
I never thought that I would end up ruining it forever
But every time I think, I got everything put back together
I end up making more regrets, making more regrets
[Chester Bennington:]
Falling from grace, I watch it all come apart
Knowing I could've changed it all from the start
Fighting myself, I always lose
Fighting myself, I always lose
[Mike Shinoda:]
I didn't want you to think I'm worn out so easily
I wish I'd held it in, so you never knew what built up inside of me
Now, I don't know how it overflows, spill out unwillingly
But now, everything that I learned to hate came out for you to see
I don't want you to promise you can change everything and make it better
'Cause you can bet, I'm gonna end up ruining it forever
And every time you think, you got everything put back together
I end up making more regrets, making more regrets
[Chester Bennington:]
Falling from grace, I watch it all come apart
Knowing I could've changed it all from the start
Fighting myself, I always lose
Fighting myself, I always lose
Falling from grace, I watch it all come apart
Knowing I could've changed it all from the start
Fighting myself, I always lose
Fighting myself, I always lose
I can't run with this weight on my back
I can't see 'cause I'm focused on the past
I can't breathe, I need to break free
From the anger that is constantly inside of me
I can't run with this weight on my back
I can't see 'cause I'm focused on the past
I can't breathe, I need to break free
From the anger that is constantly inside of me
Falling from grace, I watch it all come apart

@@NazoKG development is good when a band is able to hold to it's roots. A lot of bands lost that during the evolution. At some point it was not evolution anymore but massive mainstream pop-like production. One album after another, all alike. The crossover that they had was gone - too soft. That is a fact one may like that music other don't, that my friend is subjective. You might grasp what I mean in time, or may not but that is really irrelevant. All that matters, is that you enjoy what you hear at the end of the day.

Its like he never really left us ❤
This is some of the best music I’ve heard in years.
[Lyrics]
Now, sometimes these thoughts in my head speak so loud
Every little thing that I think about just built on top of the pain and doubt
Even though I wanna just let it out, I
Try to act like I don’t mind it, try to keep my mouth so quiet
But sittin’ there in my silence, just seems to amplify it
When I thought that keepin’ this inside would make it better
I never thought that I would end up ruining it forever
But everytime I think, I got everything put back together
I end up making more regrets, making more regrets
Falling from grace, I watch it all come apart
Knowing I could’ve changed it all from the start
Fighting myself, I always lose
Fighting myself, I always lose
I didn’t want you to think I’m worn out so easily
I wish I’d held it in, so you never knew what built up inside of me
Now, I don’t know how it overflows, spill out unwillingly
But now, everything that I learned to hate came out for you to see
I don’t want you to promise you can change everything and make it better
‘Cause you can bet, I’m gonna end up ruining it forever
And everytime you think, you got everything put back together
I end up making more regrets, making more regrets
Falling from grace, I watch it all come apart
Knowing I could’ve changed it all from the start
Fighting myself, I always lose
Fighting myself, I always lose
Falling from grace, I watch it all come apart
Knowing I could’ve changed it all from the start
Fighting myself, I always lose
Fighting myself, I always lose
I can’t run with this weight on my back
I can’t see ‘cause I’m focused on the past
I can’t breathe, I need to break free
From the anger that is constantly inside of me
I can’t run with this weight on my back
I can’t see ‘cause I’m focused on the past
I can’t breathe, I need to break free
From the anger that is constantly inside of me
Falling from grace, I watch it all come apart
Knowing I could’ve changed it all from the start
I can’t breathe, I need to break free
From the anger that is constantly inside of me
Falling from grace, I watch it all come apart
Knowing I could’ve changed it all from the start
I can’t breathe, I need to break free
From the anger that is constantly inside of me
BRO THANK YOU!
How'd you have the time to do this it's a new song. It just came out 3 hours ago
Now they deign for their mistakes but they really enjoyed when they booed him and told him everything in his last concerts for his latest album, which was pop. For me it's better than meteora in rhythms and lyrics. He didn't deserve that ending. A lot of hypocrisy from Linkin Park fans who even told him what he was going to die of. And if you don't believe me, look on UA-cam for the last concerts of linkin park 2017 where they belittle linkin park and especially Chester Benington who had the idea of making a pop record.
Chester Bennington asked for help when he needed it most.
@@Mooniscool1997 In my experience, lyrics can be written in literally twenty minutes. It's not very difficult.
In addition, in some regions this song could be listened to fourteen hours ago. Even I, thanks to the Indian account on Spotify, listened to this song last night (it's morning in my country)
So refreshing to hear the old sound
Chester will never truly die. He will live forever through his music and through every single fan for generations to come ❤️

Who would've thought we'd be getting new Linkin Park tracks in 2023? Not only new tracks but specfically from the Meteora era, actually insane. Thank you guys!

Chester may be gone, but his voice and soul lives through us all.
@ARgaminoprin nah, I don't think Mike would be down for that. Just like he he shot down a holographic Chester for concerts. It doesn't feel right.
Is this Chester's voice?

Unreal. It's like an out of body experience hearing new material with Chesters vocals. ❤
Not really new, just stuff that never made it to the album for one reason or another.

As a 31 year old man, i can say not alot of things make me happy in life, but i what i can say is LP is 1 of those things that make me happy. This is truly a gift thank you LP, i truly miss Chester he was the voice for my pain and anger in life. Thank you Linkin Park for giving us all this music
Ay yo, 92 gang lol. Completely agree with everything you just said, from the numetal, baggy pants with chains and band T-shirts that encapsulated that era to a thousand suns and all the way to one more light, I feel this band grew at exactly the same time as me. Do you feel that too ?
Another 31 year old here...yupp, exactly my thoughts. I think this is one of the reasons why so many in our generation feels like LP was the soundtrack of their lives. I certainly do.
@@olibarrett4283 TBH im not a fan of ATS or OML i actually cant stand those albums, i love LPs heavier stuff more than there softer stuff
@@MisterHotShotX fair enough, a thousand suns is probably my favourite album along side meteora, I used to be a heavier = better type but I was just missing out, there’s a lot of value in eclectic tastes.
32 and totally understand. Grew up with Linkin Park and their music really hits some place special deep down inside and still does. Numb was one of the first songs I ever learned to play on guitar when I was a teen in the early 2000s.

I used to wonder if linkin park was done with music after chester, but I never knew they were hiding such bangers from us! Thank you guys, and chester, rest well my friend. 🙏🏼
I'm glad they released this song now because I feel like I relate to it way more as an adult then I would have as a teenager.
That's one of the things I love about them, it hits differently now I'm almost 40, compared to my 20's when it first came out. That said their music still hits the heart like it did when I first heard it, I just notice more to it.
How they were able to keep this banger a secret for 20+ years is the real amazing thing.

Be blessed.

Linkin park the goat
I was working in Alaska 2 months ago: 16 hours daily, a sleep only 4 hours, 7 days, 3 months. And it’s incredible how this song gave me so much energy.
