GREAT advice it's so perfect I saw one sold online and it was so poorly made no interfacing no binding no closure everything was just hot glued and it was expensive too
I'll use your advice to make one for my daughter and maybe if I get really good at it I'll make a business out if it someday

I too hv tried n uploaded quiet book but ur quiet book level is amazing
great video and tips .. it will be awsome too to share how you manually stitch two pages and make sure they are perfeclty aligned while there is a piece of batting in between prevents from accurate vision 😁
Thanks for the tips. I'm in the process of making my first quiet book and will definitely be using your idea of ironing the batting. Also like the zig-zag stitching on the binding. Beautiful work.

I want to make my granddaughter a quiet book for her 1st birthday. I made one for her mother over 30 yrs ago without any patterns. I wish I had it now but your videos are going to be a BIG help! On the top is the already ironed batting, underneath is not ironed one. I just show the difference of the thickness of the batting before and after ironing.

Ho appena acquistato il pattern del fiore con i bottoni e qualche giorno fa quello degli animali con i loro cuccioli. Mi sono arrivati due file uno PDF e uno SVG, a cosa serve quello SVG?

Hi! Brother ScanNCut SDX1500 is the only cutting machine I have ever had. Sorry have nothing to say about any others.
Regarding my ScanNCut, I love it very much, it is such a great helper. It can scan, draw and cut. It cuts perfectly Korean Hard Felt 1.2 mm thick, and hard felt 3 mm.

What are your thoughts on using a glue gun on spine to put pages together instead of sewing? I'm not sure if glue gun stays glued forever. Thank you
have never used the glue gun on my quiet books, sorry, I have nothing to say about it.

the batting polyester you use, is it any grammage? is there anything specific? I've been looking on the internet and there are many varieties. Thanks for your help, I love all your work. It's amazing ❤

Make sure you iron on medium heat temperature and with cloth or parchment, otherwise the batting will melt!!!!

How big are your pages? Do you make the covers slightly larger?
Lisa Leathers My books are of two sizes, 15x15 cm and 20x20 cm. The covers have the same sizes as the inner pages of the book.

Hello! I use a polyester batting 1 cm thick.
Hi honey, you can use anything that's the same thickness as the batting in this video is. It's just fabric that you put in between the pages when you sew them together so they won't be flat. Hope this helps. Good luck with your book for you and your brother! 🙂

Polyester batting becomes stiff after ironing, the cotton one is not.
