- Hi, this is the last part of Quiet Book Binding tutorial and in this video I am going to show you how to bind the back cover.
The size of the pages 20 cm x 20 cm.
The thickness of the polyester batting I use is about 1 cm.

Sorry, I do not have a tutorial for the back cover with a zipper pocket. But I am sure there are a plenty of videos on how to make a zipper pocket on UA-cam out there.

can you please tell me If I can make the piece that binds between all pages much longer (the same length as the page) and can it be from felt?

The piece that binds the pages can be the same length as the pages 👍🏼
I have never used felt for binding. The felt is thicker than the fabric, and the felt binding can increase the book’s volume too much.
Or the felt must be thin, less 1mm. In any way you can try to do it, and if you do not like it - just to unstitch it.

If i will make the piece as long as the page .. can I make the cover the same way you do it?
Yes, you will use the same binding method. Your book will looks like mine, but the internal and external binding pieces will be longer, for the entire length of the book :) Hope it helps 😊

hello. Thanks for sharing your work, it looks awesome, very neat and informative. Im not a professional and I find it difficult to figure out what you are doing at times :/
In the very beginning of this video you measure the cheese page on binding side- something like 6.5 cm then mark 3.2cm and draw a line on the inside binding for sewing on the next page. Are these two measurements related? How should I determine where to draw the line for my particular page?

Hello, thank you! Sorry for my late reply. In the very beginning 0:18 I measure 3 cm, it means from where the book binding spine starts. As you can see I put two pins on every page, so I mark the place for the binding spine, on 1:15 you can see what I mean. These two measurements are not related. If your page is look like mine, the thickness is about 5mm, you can mark 3.2cm and draw the line as I do. If you have more questions please feel free to ask :)

May I ask u the stitch length and tension u are using?
For the last finishing stitch for binding strip I use zig zag: tension 6, width 3, length 1.2. For all others I usually use straight stitch tension 4, length 2. 😊

Hina Dua To make fabric stiff I use an Interfacing S320. Between the two pages I put a polyester batting, about 1cm thick.

I really need help on a school project (for textiles i’m going to create a quiet book) but my book isn’t a flip through design its pages that fold into a book but when you open it it’s like a long page. like an accordion book if you know what i mean. anyways i’ve binded all the separate pages but i dont know how to put it all together so that they are neat and fold into a book. all the videos ive seen bind the pages into a flip through book which isn’t what i’m making. pls reply!!
