Congrats you two ...that was an epic find ....we are gonna have to get an excavator so no more hard digging ....the largest one was very coarse so that mean the source is nearby and I bet drywashing that or running it through a wash plant will bring tons of fines.....good job and be safe out there in the heat .....hope you find the source and keep'em coming
Thank you sir! Glad your on the mend, and thanks for stopping by
Yep. Shoe repair/cobbler. Sets, so the shoe is upside-down to work on the sole.
Love the pry-bar.
Thanks for the info!
The artifact looks like a shoe form for making shoes. Strange it is out there! Its possible it helped leather shoes not shrink after being wet and maybe that is why they had it out there. Good finds! Hopefully there will be enough to pay for gas and groceries!!
yup shoe cobbler form...probably to resole boots
How very interesting. thank you for tuning in !
it was the last thing the cobbler threw at his wife lol
I agree.
Does Boulderdash have a channel we can follow too?
Hi Adam the bit of metal you are holding is called a shoe larst a cobbler would use to repair your 👞 shoes i hope this helped.
Thanks so much, It certainly helped
That's a shoe fork, for fitting on top of a cobblers bench post... Someone may have been using it to dig with, fastened to a wooden handle .. that's why it's broken.
Congrats to the "I Brake for Overburden Team" another fun video. Best of luck and keep up the good work.
Thanks! Will do!
I hope you're saving all that excavated red channel layer for the Gold Rattler ? LOL ! Wow ! you are getting some nice nuggets. Looks like a hot spot ! Keep cool out there !
With that cobbler’s horn and good boot leather some one had a side gig repairing worn out prospectors boots …

Yup definitely a coblers shoe form. 👍
That is definitely a shoe repair last, for children! Or lady’s ,nice going
It's called a shoe stretcher I believe, we used to have several in the barn at my grandparents home left by a cobbler in our family from way back around civil war time
The one thing is the end of a Cobbler's Anvil. They had a tapered post and several different sized "feet" could be interchanged. It was used to make and repair boots, primarily to give a solid surface to drive in boot tacks...mine is in storage or I would send you a picture of a complete one.
Thank you so much !
That's a cobbler's anvil.
It is designed for crafting shoes and boots.

That's Aladdin's shoe! lol
Small cast iron shoe repair form. One of several different size forms that would set on a vertical stand and the boot/shoe would be placed over it to help with nailing on soles and heals.
Could be the part of a hand powered drill that contacts your shoulder so you could put more pressure on the drill.
The missing tooth on the excavator bucket does trip off my OCD, but I'm coping.
Stepping up your game with the heavy equipment,
That's a nice haul.. Just shy of a 1/4oz
It looks like a coblers shoe holder for nailing tacks.

Oh how many times I would have loved to have a little excavator. And yes, that's an old cobblers form, for making and repairing shoes, boots. Probably why I find so many boot tacks when detecting 😅. I have heard old timers used boot tacks in their guns for hunting game. Not sure how True thT is. Nice gold guys.
Thanks for swinging by !
Hey guys...love the channel!! I live in Tucson and me and my daughter are just getting in to prospecting. Question for you. Where did you get your pick from? I can't seem to fid anything that looks like that. Thanks in advance for your reply.
So first off, you should join the Desert Gold Diggers. They are a prospecting club based out of Tucson, and have many claims you can access.
The picks we use are usually home made or custom built. There are several pick manufacturers out there, hit up a local prospecting shop

I'm gonna say the peice of matel that looks like a shoe is a shoe for a cane or tripod type of tool. Drill. Boulder mover
We're is the rest of the equipment like the tremble
Its got making shoes.
Hows the gold downhill towards the ends of washes? Would it make it that far? Obviously in the hills is better but just curious.
That can be a complicated answer as there are so many variables to how far gold travels, and the introduction of new sources . But i can say with certainty that there is gold at the ends of this wash too. That requires a different process to mine though.
@IBRAKEFORBEDROCK I appreciate you taking the time to answer. I've got land with mineral rights on a wash that flows down from an old gold mine. So I know there's gold up there. Any tips on how I should proceed with looking for it on my land would be greatly appreciated.
What happened to Balderdash's tooth. lol
Do you guys split up all the gold you find?
Sometimes
how do I contact you for questions I have on the subject of prospecting ?

Good morning, love your videos. I have a quick question for you. I am thinking of upgrading my drywasher to a 140s or the mid sized Royal. Just wondering what you might invest in. I have the small Royal and it has been a good unit but it can't handle volume. Need a little bigger unit.
Thanks Red
When running properly, with the right material, a 140 can move some dirt. The 151 is even more efficient than the 140.
If you really want a good investment, find an older style 151 that is not the “s” series. Keene overcomplicated the “s” builds with a bunch of unnecessary gimmicks
Never seen anybody use such big equipment to get such little gold 🤷
🤣🤣 Well, we certainly do not show everything we find, but thanks for stopping by !
That Cat is awful shiny, you must be finding a few things off camera. Awesome vid, thanks guys!
