- I was out metal detecting with the Fisher Gold Bug 2 and found some amazing gold. Boulderdash is using an Excavator to find gold with a drywasher plant.. More to come folks !

Man I wish I could find spots like this I spent a little over a week in the gold basin area and did not find much but my detector went out on me a few days in so I need to fix it and get back out still learning my dry washer so not much luck there either
Big learning curve to drywashing successfully. Hang in there , and theres a book called Placer gold deposits of Arizona. Many more places than gold basin to find gold
Adam, I have been watching you for a couple of years now & really like your show. I have a bit of money to spend on a detector and I live in the Southern desert like you. I have a old Gold Bug so should I get a new Gold Bug 2 or the Gold monster for the mineralized ground in my desert area?? You seem to like them both. What’s your opinion

The gold monster 1000 is a very good machine. I would deinitely pick it up if its in your budget. It handles mineralization better than the Fisher Gold Bug 2
It often gets forgotten in the US for some reason but the Nokta Makro Gold Kruzer (and it's fully automatic version Gold Finder 2000) is a very very good machine. 61khz, automatic ground balance
Would like to see how an XP ORX works in your area.

There’s a great book called Arizona gold placers and placering . Live that book , and lots of places to go
how does the new gold bug compare to your old one?
I can run the threshold lower with the new one, and that keeps the chatter down without compomising sensitivity to targets. I really like the new one.
How do you differentiate between a nugget and a picker?
There are no " pickers " its just a made up word. The term " nugget " has been around since the 1600's .....Seriously though, its just semantics.

OK Adam; I've watched quite a few of your videos and I need some help. I have a OLD (mid 80's) Gold Bug II and I just can't seem to get the hang of ground balancing and get frustrated trying to detect with it. I'm in AZ, up the 87, and just know there is a lot of gold in the area around me, but just can't make my BUG work to find it. Can you help? Please?
Keep in mind that it’s always possible that the ground balance isn’t working properly.
It’s to difficult to explain the ground balance procedure in a text . Definitely find some videos of people that show how to ground balance with that machine.
Also remember that Some ground just can’t be balanced out.
I find it more believable if you didn't only film after you "found" them.
Well I assure you , we don’t need to salt anything. We are quite successful detectorists
