Hey, amazing footage. But the title is wrong, Madeira isnt know as the Hawaii of Europe, never in my life i heard that and i live here . It is know as the Atlantic Pearl as long as i remember. More or less , the place in Portugal that actually look closer to Hawaii, would be Azores Islands, not Madeira islands. Have fun
Hey thanks. Yeah I hear you. The reason I mention it is that (possibly due to the transfer of information online) but that reference is out there about Madeira online. The main reason I included it is I watched a UA-cam who was from Hawaii and she made the comparison herself and said often she would feel like certain views were just like Hawaii. So that was enough for me. But I hear your point.
@Jolanta Szczyglińska doesn't matter where you choose in portugal you will find peace even more so on the island madeira the birth place of my grandmother
@@malcolmmacdougall you can give your opinion without bringing down a Caribbean island tho. I guarantee you in the Caribbean we have places just as beautiful as this just in our islands/countries that are least popular lol
I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for creating such an incredible travel video. Watching your video was like taking a virtual trip around the world - I felt like I was right there with you in every location!
Me and my husband went to Madeira back in 2015. This video reminded me of how beautiful the island is! I'm now thinking about going back there next year - now as a family of 3 :)
I absolutely love Madeira is one of the most wonderful place as I've ever seen in euro would love to go again and go on the amazing honk across the mountains

I really appreciate the manner in which your reviews are done, not over the top with just enough information to interest viewers. Clean and efficient narrative coupled with a relaxing cadence ensures no frustration or viewer fatigue. Madeira is definitely on our visit list in the near future. I hear June is a good time to visit with the best chance of sunshine, moderate climate and not too busy like July and August. Continue making lovely docu-tourism material.
My family goes back over 400 years in Madeira, Portugal, and after seeing the island in person, I'm convinced they were part mountain goat! The steep and narrow roads, and steep and narrow walkways, make it difficult to get around. It's nothing like Hawaii. (Mrs.Rugby)
Ditto on that distinction. Hawaii it's not - for those of us who have lived in both places. Yes, both are islands, but that's where the similarities end for many, many reasons. Video is nice. However to all who view - best be informed, visiting for four days is not the same as living here. And any comparison to Hawaii is a dangerous stretch as an argument. If only . . . and I'll leave it at that
I booked a flight to Madeira a few days ago and could not find a decent video about the Island, and now my favourite channel releases this brilliant video, omg, watching for the third time already, love it! 🤩 Thank you! ❤
I just booked my trip and couldn’t believe it when I came to UA-cam to see you just posted a video about Lisbon and Madeira! You’re always one big step ahead of me. And I must say, your videos have always been excellent but your editing has gone through the roof!!! Well done, buddy! 🎉
Love gardens and waterfalls so I'll have to add this place to my bucket list. The red railings were a beautiful architectural detail in that landscape.
I usually don't press like or comment, but since you asked nicely, I did it. Also, I'm Portuguese and all my family on my mother's side is from Madeira. I go to Madeira at least once a year, usually more, and used to be there for 2 months every summer when I was younger. As a half-Madeira native, I appreciate your video. Good job in showcasing what Madeira has to offer
Great video… I was born in Portugal but my family moved to the USA in the mid seventies. I’ve been back a few times but haven’t been to Madeira. Planning on a family trip in early 2025. So looking forward to it. I Love my Country and humble people.
I love madeira. People are so friendly. We did the Risco and Lafonte 25 hike and it is not for the tainted heart. You have to be in pretty good shape to hike around 2000 feet elevation and staircases. It was amazing
Just wanted to say that we loved your vlog! It was clear, full of helpful tips and balanced. Just perfect for those looking for a general understanding. Thank you!
Thank you so much. Is so much about Madeira and the other Portuguese islands that I would love to know about. I have in mind to visit all off them when I can. That’s one of my dreams. I love this beautiful country, the genuine people, the food and the weather😍💝
Another brilliant video. From Melb, never knew much about Madeira until now, thanks to you. Especially love the footage of the sunrise and also the slo-mo of a waterfall with Chiaki walking behind the water. Glad you’ve gone full time. You upload quality work. Thank you
I'm currently trying to decide whether to take a 1-week trip to Madeira or Milan/Rome in April and this video is making me lean towards Madeira for sure. It's so beautiful! 😍
@@witlof5492 Thanks for the tip! I've since finalized Milan/Rome but I'll surely check out Sicily for a future trip. Maybe in the summer so I can also enjoy the beaches 😀
Rome is cool, but I'm sorry there's just no way I'm choosing Milan or Rome over Madeira. Especially if I have 1 week, I'm trying to wake up everyday and feel like I'm in paradise.
A tip for 25Fontes. Get started early. We got picked up at our hotel in Funchal at 6.00 and we were alone at the waterfall. We passed hundreds on the way back.

Another great video! I love the idea of renting a Smart - I had one for 10 years. We visited Madeira back in the late 80s. Stayed at the Casino Park. It was the week before Christmas and warm enough to swim in the gorgeous outdoor pool! We met Roy Barraclough in the bar. When he discovered that I wasn't feeling well, he bought me a Fernet-Branca, telling me it would settle my stomach. How thoughtful. A nice memory. :)

Your videos are so well put together, I appreciate that you show us the aesthetic beautiful shots but also the real life ones so that if we make the trip ourselves we won't leave feeling disappointed! I'm going to Madeira in a little under a month, wow this video has me so excited. I will be doing a lot of what you did in this video! We are staying for a week!
