What an incredible destination! I don't think I have even heard much about Madeira until this year either. I really like how you can watch the sunrise above the clouds and spend time at the beach in the same day. I'll have to check out Madeira one of these days. Amazing job with the video Mahna!

Make sure you do or visit East Side and nuns Valley too they are so underrated, in my opinion... also visit the old town and go to a "casa de Fados" 😊

I’m Americans and lived in Madeira 30 years ago….and never saw another American tourist. Unfortunately, not that way anymore. There are now direct flights from New York. Portugal and Madeira were largely left alone in Europe but definitely have been discovered. Nice video. Thanks for encouraging no trace as some of the best spots are now littered with toilet paper.

We were looking at the Azores when we eventually go to Portugal but you might’ve convinced us to change it to Madeira.
Oooh the Azores look SO amazing too, I definitely want to go there! But I would absolutely consider Madeira, its magic!
I lived in the Acores for six months. Beautiful places to visit. More to do in Madeira if you like hiking and the outdoors.

Hi Mahna, thank you so much for this super quality guide!! Are the places you mentioned in this video accessible via public transport? Neither me nor my travel companion can drive, which seems like a shame because many of the travel vlog I've seen also recommend renting a car to explore the island :(
Alot of the places she mentioned are not accessible via public transport. However you have several tourist companies that do east tour, west tour (both are full day tours) and the nuns valleys (half day tour) then you have taxis that you can pay them directly for a more personal tour of the island.
@@TugaQueen Thank you! I've looked into the tours there, might be taking up on one. But for the remaining time I think I'll use a combination of taxi and bus to get around (tho taxis arent that cheap haha). I want all the flexibility I can get, if you know what i mean :)

Madeira is truly amazing! Yes you definitely can. The Bravelanders tour we did was mostly accessible with car spots! There are many tours that are for people who want scenic views of the island with no hiking. Definitely lots to enjoy and a beautiful destination to go to! I strongly recommend it. The roads are amazing

Its my dream to visit Madeira one day, hopefully I will break the Corporate Loop I am in and make enough money so I can travel and enjoy sometime there.

Madeira the places you recommended you could go only by car or any places public transportation available ? Then which ones you have public transport ? Of course Ican rent and drive just checking if alternate transport available for these attractions specifically ? Cheers 👍
Hey! I would recommend car. There is a bus system I believe but car is 100% the best way, most convenient. happy travels!

Howzit Mahna, I just got a job here in Saudi Arabia on the Red Sea and I brought 2 surfboards. Madeira is on my list to take a vacation and surf. What islands would you recommend to take a surf vacation which would compare to Kauai and not Oahu.

The cost of living in madeira compared to Hawaii is 75% less, no wonder so many foreigners moving here, mostly digital nomads and retired people.
