100% Correct. I would even say however to just chew your food to porridge level, don't necessarily stick to "30" times. Swallow the food that has become like porridge if you have a good amount of food in your mouth to chew. I did this diet in the past and now started again. Lost 2.2KG so far in just 4 days. Expecting average weight loss between 3-4KG per week. That's 12-16KG a month. 144KG / 192KG a year... And this is without going to the gym...
I already know from the beginning you'd consume less for by chewing it longer. HOWEVER, I never realized how much that would amount too over a year. Great way to help one lose or maintain weight lose. Thank you for your video! Also the ice bath one too 🤗

My face has lost puffiness. My shoes are looser, and I have a LOT more energy. The fatigue I had has dropped away, and I went out and bought a three-wheeled bike. I started walking any night I don't ride my bike. I am not able to finish normal sized plates. I can get only about half of them or less eaten, and the rest goes in the fridge. Bowel activity has stayed regular. When I get hungry, I eat. I don't snack very much any more, and if I do, it's not a large amount. Chewing this much has increased my enjoyment of food immensely. Time between meals is shortened because of my extended chewing, so I don't get ravenous. No calorie or carb counting. No portion sizing. I eat mostly fresh food, but if I wanted a pizza, I would get one, and have. It took me four days to get through the last small pizza because I could only eat small pieces at a time. A salad takes me about an hour to eat. Ever onward!

Well done buddy your content is amazing and well informative I don't know where you get these ideas but its very creative your the best UA-camr worth every view keep the challenges coming love from the UK👍👍👍
I'm here because I have been having a similar experience. Yes, satiation catches up faster, enabling me to eat less. And I experience less bloating and also less diarrhea. Importantly, I do NOT count my chews. I am instead chewing "until there are no lumps left." This I believe is a more relaxed way of achieving the same outcomes. This is something I will continue throughout my life and I will be shouting my praises of thorough chewing at people until I die, haha. I'd be really interested to see you do this challenge again, only just in a more qualitative way, where you "chew until there are no lumps left" for like two weeks and report on how you feel it's effecting you. You could start with an update on how this challenge effected the way you eat ongoing, too which would also be interesting.
Now that I practice chewing 32 or more times. It made me realize how I was swallowing my food in chunks in the past. It has helped me slow down on eating fast and I don’t feed bloated or over the top full.
I don’t even chew sometimes and end I choking in front everyone about 3 times at the dinner table while eating my dinner I’m glad i found this god I was disgusting back then I was like a monster xD my mum always says I’m uncoof and stuff probably cuz I’m a girl but if I can loose weight maybe I’ll listen lol
I’ve just been chewing until the food is nonexistent and then I found this video which confirms my method that chewing more = less calories consumed and better digestion
This is a great video! When I slow down and chew slowly I definitely tend to eat less and not get bloated. It's so had to get out of the habit of eating fast. I worked in retail for many decades and did not have much time during breaks to eat slowly/mindfully. Now I try to keep pace with my husband who is a super slow eater. That seems to help a lot. Plus I serve myself less food knowing that if after 30 minutes if I'm still hungry - I can get more.
I vary my chew count depending on the food. In the first bite , I'll count the number of chews required to almost completely liquify the food (still far from liquid). Then i repeat it with every bite. Sometimes the count crosses 100 depending on the food. For fruits it's 20-30 and for meat its around 150.
This is good. I like this because with eating fries for example, 30 chews is a stretch. But with a hamburger, after 30 chews I’d still be chewing with my normal habits and I should increase the count. 30 chews isn’t necessarily the end all be all
U missed something. Not to watch TV while eating. Concentrate on the food and feel the chewing and taste. Doing so many things at a time while eating is also not good for digestion.
Ty! I know this must be why I have stomach issues. By the time my husband is served his dinner, I’m already done! I have severe stomach problems with gas, bloating, etc... I’ve had every test under the sun with no findings. My husband even bought me one of those dog bowls with the groves to keep me from eating too fast. I’m seriously going to force myself to eat slower. My life has become so affected by this bad habit.
I've been practicing this for about three weeks now. A side benefit I have gotten is my gum health. My two lower back molars had some gingivitis, even though I try to brush well back there. Since I have been chewing my food at LEAST 30 times each mouthful, my gingivitis seems to have cleared up. Which makes sense, since it is getting more stimulation, especially with fiber-rich vegetables. So if you have stubborn gingivitis, is it because you are not chewing enough?
this was actually a style of diet back in the victorian era called the (Horace) Fletcher Diet. From all accounts it seemed to have worked just as you demonstrated
I can’t believe I was 40 years old today when I learned to chew my food. I have horrible stomach problems and always bloated. I’ve always eaten my food really fast. It all started when I was a kid and my uncle would make me and my cousin do a race on who could eat their food the fastest so my cousin who wouldn’t like eating would eat. Except I always liked eating so that just made me over eat really fat my whole life. And it’s crazy cause it’s true you don’t have the need to drink anything and you get full fast. It’s such a weird feeling to eat your food so slow when you’ve never done it. I have to keep reminding myself to chew and not swallow yet. It’s always like training for your mouth and jaw. I can’t believe such a simple thing could change your life.
Eating slow definitely does something. I am 25, have always eaten fast, like I chew 5 times and swallow. I used to get so annoyed when I am out with friends and they are eating like snails while I finish my meal within 10 minutes. I have always had bloating that comes about an hour after eating. I was also eating too much because eating fast you don't realise you are full. And I had indigestion. Last week, I started chewing so many times until my saliva and food became like a soup. Like magic, I am full before even i finish my plate. AND I am also not bloated immediately. I still have gas in the morning but that is normal I guess.
1:22 Out of curiosity: Which of these ingredients would you normally blame for bloat and why? I mean, pasta, tomato sauce and broccoli doesn’t sound that bad. Also, what type of food would you consider non-bloating? Thanks for the interesting experiment btw. Keep up the channel! 👍
“…broccoli, … are cruciferous vegetables, which contain raffinose - a sugar that remains undigested until bacteria in your gut ferment it, which produces gas and, in turn, makes you bloat.”
Yes ! you found it. You need to keep it with saliva 30 sec mix especially starch fruit and rice and potato. Amylase with starhes. It does not matter really for proteins.. especially meats you chue to broke it swallow and then stomach in charge.
Digestion starts in the mouth, the more you chew and break it down , the less acid has to form, rather than more acid breaking down big chunks. Also the slower you eat, gives the food more time to fill your stomach so you can realize it’s full, when you eat fast, you won’t feel the sensation of fullness until it’s to late cause the food is still on the way down.
I was actually really underweight a few montha ago and thats when I watching what I ate and never thought I was gonna gain weight. But then I remember my mom said one time to my sister (p.s she is hippo 🦛 jk not jk) "you alwqys eat with both cheeks full!" So I did just that. I used to eat my meals for a really long time but now I stuff another bite in before im finished. Now im right around an acceptible weight. (110lb. 14 yrs old)
Do a living in darkness challenge. Try to avoid any lighting so your brain thinks it’s night always and don’t let UV rays touch you. After the 2nd or 3rd day you start hallucinating I’ve heard. Benefits would include deep meditative states
In short, the number of chews isn't specifically the key, eating more slowly is. Your body takes time to realise it's full and send those signals. Eat too quickly and you're likely eating way more than you actually need to. Just slow down, and you're far less likely to overshoot with your calories.
not chewing properly can lead to trapped wind. also, be careful not to inhale too much air and swallow it with the food, that leads to trapped wind too!
Great strategy to get all the nutrients absorbed into your body instead of passing through quickly undigested. Wasn’t mentioned but since a lot of your body energy expenditure is on digestion, you’ll end up with more energy for healing processes.
So what this tells me is poor digestion contributes to bloating. Food in liquid form is more digestible, hence 30+ chewing allows this food form to be closer to liquid than chunks. Got it. Thanks
Yes, but saliva also contains enzymes. On another level, as it also contains our DNA, some posit that letting food and liquids merge with the saliva makes the body see it as welcome, rather than an invader. People with food sensitivities often report this technique getting rid of them.
I eat as if 25 other people were running towards me as fast as they could to steal my plate and beat the s* out of me. I hate being like that, but I keep forgetting to chew!

30 chews isn’t necessarily the end all be all
It was really informative. I have the same problem of chewing less meaning I eat my food too soon. I will try this out. Thanks!
Bro your pro thank you for putting so much effort into making videos and helping mankind. God. bless you
U missed something.
Thanks for the video!
After "the mixing everything" experiment i was waiting for video like that
1:22 Out of curiosity: Which of these ingredients would you normally blame for bloat and why? I mean, pasta, tomato sauce and broccoli doesn’t sound that bad. Also, what type of food would you consider non-bloating?
Thanks for the interesting experiment btw. Keep up the channel! 👍
I'm guessing pasta because of the gluten; it's a source of inflammation on all human beings, some more than others.
“…broccoli, … are cruciferous vegetables, which contain raffinose - a sugar that remains undigested until bacteria in your gut ferment it, which produces gas and, in turn, makes you bloat.”
Blueberry, carrots, chicken, cucumber, grapes, eggs, oats.
The lactose product
I think you should do this experi ent but for longuer time, like a month
Some foods actually need to be chewed more than others. Chew until it's damn near in a watery state. Takes practice. But it's worth it.
I counted how much I chew my food, meat was 40-50 chews, and easier things like starches were 20 chews.
This is just my normal chewing lol
Cold steak would be 1000000000 chews
i would never want to hang out with you lmao, i dont wanna be 1hour at a restaurant waiting u to eat HAHAHA
just here to reassure you im also a slow eater and youre not alone
I bet you are naturally thin!
wow this is insane keep up the good work
Grill and grill the pan over the same thing with his hand around his music box

I'd love to see an experiment of this for a week or more for more consistent results. Point well proven though
I was trying this with a tiny meal, and I was full half way through (35 chews per bite) and I was on mouthful 7
Yes ! you found it. You need to keep it with saliva 30 sec mix especially starch fruit and rice and potato. Amylase with starhes.
It does not matter really for proteins.. especially meats you chue to broke it swallow and then stomach in charge.
Cool! As someone who wolfs down their eggs in the morning this is interesting.
Also no need to count your chews, just chew until its LIQUID. Kind of like how swuishing jello around liquifies it. Chew until its liquid.
Plus do not be distracted by other things while eating, supposedly it helps digestion because you focus.
Pic 1 blowing out my stomach, PIc 2 me sucking my stomach in.
Loooool felt like I was reading an article!!!! Great video!
This can be my cure of bloating
I agree, I noticed that I was way skinnier when I was digesting my food 30-40 times
PIGMIE YOUR BACK I TOTALLY FORGOT ABT YOU WB! :D
Edit: ig you've been back for a while, I'ma turn on them post notifications
Underrated channel
Revolutionary experiment 🌟
The video is very educational but the turning at the end is creepy as fuck 🤣! Good work 👍🏽
Digestion starts in the mouth, the more you chew and break it down , the less acid has to form, rather than more acid breaking down big chunks.
(110lb. 14 yrs old)
Also, I ate a lot of snacks and nuts in between meals. No homo
"Before watching the video" might've mentioned this or not. But i am pretty sure, that chewing more is only going to improve the muscles in your face.
No bro:)
0:08 that plain pasta and broccoli dish is an Italian’s nightmare 🇮🇹🤌
Do a living in darkness challenge. Try to avoid any lighting so your brain thinks it’s night always and don’t let UV rays touch you. After the 2nd or 3rd day you start hallucinating I’ve heard. Benefits would include deep meditative states
In short, the number of chews isn't specifically the key, eating more slowly is. Your body takes time to realise it's full and send those signals. Eat too quickly and you're likely eating way more than you actually need to. Just slow down, and you're far less likely to overshoot with your calories.
Dude I love the way he narrates it😂👍
Love this experiment thank you
Thank you for sharing this experiment 💕👍🏻
Makes sense stomach can process the food faster if it's in smaller pieces or chunks
Pigmie I still can’t do a back flip could you maybe make another vid on that please if not that is fine
Beloit has to be the same way you do that for a woman attractive to the

Thanks!
not chewing properly can lead to trapped wind. also, be careful not to inhale too much air and swallow it with the food, that leads to trapped wind too!
I'm constantly surprised by how fast my food disappears once it's in front of me.
I love you
Great strategy to get all the nutrients absorbed into your body instead of passing through quickly undigested.
Wasn’t mentioned but since a lot of your body energy expenditure is on digestion, you’ll end up with more energy for healing processes.
slowly spins blinds opener, turns around smiling..gives thumbs up. i fkn died lmfao good SHIT
I've been chewing my food 40-60 times and thought it's what eveybody does until I tell it to my relatives during dinner.
How long does it take for you to finish a meal?
20-30 minutes 😄
Please do more videos like this
