Sir/ma'am I have attained an online workshop regarding food pairing where I got to know that we should never pair acidic food like tomato, lemon, tamarind with starchy food like wheat, rice, potato etc. If we do so the starch will remain undigested and cause many health issues. In satvic sabzi recipe tomato is the main ingredient. Please make me clear about this, 🙏🙏🙏 the workshop was conducted by Dr NK Sharma. He has done research in this field for about 40 years.

This is a really informative video about how to eat food and when to eat food. But I am little bit confused about saying by you to not to eat 2-3 types of food items in your one single meal. Why? I have heard that we should eat multi grains food . Like multigrain daliya, multigrain daal or multiple type vegetables. Multiple vegetables or grains means multiple nutrients. A complete package of health. Can you please help me out to understand this delimma? Thanks.
I think that multigrain diet is a modern health fad. Since wheat is not good for the body and doesnt contain much nutrients so thats why multigrain diet started gaining popularity. only wheat requires a multi grain mix of millets, chana corn bajra etc to maintain nutritional value and digestion ease. For millets roti multigrain mix is not required. Also in this video they said that very different types of food should not be eaten. Example : Like kheer with daal roti, or daal rice chapatti papad halwa etc are individual dishes of food. They shouldnt be eaten together. Multigrain diet is ok if you are eating wheat. 👍 Similarly non violent milk. Non voilent Milk is a complete food in itself and shouldnt be drinked after any other type of grainy food.
I have read all these information in the book of Hadith. Good but your 4th point is contradicting ayurveda which teaches that your meal should have all 6 tastes, like sweet, sour , bitter , salty, etc. Please respond

However, to include all tastes, Ayurveda don't mention to include them in full cooked meal, these tastes should be in smaller raw form, for e.g. For the pungent taste you can add a slice of ginger and for sweet taste a piece of Jaggery, other tastes like salt and tikhta could be already added to your cooked meal.
Hi.. Actually Satvik sabzi has shadrasa Salty- Sendha namak Pungent- Green Chilli Sour - Tomato Astringent- Raw vegetables and sprouts Bitter- Ginger Madhura rasa can be added by a pinch of jaggery. Anyway lots of fresh fruits will compensate your daily requirement of shadrasa

But I am little bit confused about saying by you to not to eat 2-3 types of food items in your one single meal. Why?
I have heard that we should eat multi grains food . Like multigrain daliya, multigrain daal or multiple type vegetables.
Multiple vegetables or grains means multiple nutrients. A complete package of health.

I think that multigrain diet is a modern health fad. Since wheat is not good for the body and doesnt contain much nutrients so thats why multigrain diet started gaining popularity. only wheat requires a multi grain mix of millets, chana corn bajra etc to maintain nutritional value and digestion ease. For millets roti multigrain mix is not required. Also in this video they said that very different types of food should not be eaten. Example : Like kheer with daal roti, or daal rice chapatti papad halwa etc are individual dishes of food. They shouldnt be eaten together. Multigrain diet is ok if you are eating wheat. 👍
Similarly non violent milk. Non voilent Milk is a complete food in itself and shouldnt be drinked after any other type of grainy food.

Good but your 4th point is contradicting ayurveda which teaches that your meal should have all 6 tastes, like sweet, sour , bitter , salty, etc. Please respond
Hi Samartha, you are saying it right.
However, to include all tastes, Ayurveda don't mention to include them in full cooked meal, these tastes should be in smaller raw form, for e.g. For the pungent taste you can add a slice of ginger and for sweet taste a piece of Jaggery, other tastes like salt and tikhta could be already added to your cooked meal.

Salty- Sendha namak
Pungent- Green Chilli
Sour - Tomato
Astringent- Raw vegetables and sprouts
Bitter- Ginger
Madhura rasa can be added by a pinch of jaggery.
Anyway lots of fresh fruits will compensate your daily requirement of shadrasa
