Another fun episode, guys. As to the numbers, it may not be as bad as you think. The motor was presold, so the selling cost maybe should be 10% of $12K, not $31K. That's $2000 more profit. The same goes for the dead inventory charge. That shouldn't apply to the motor, just the $12K of parts - another $2000 of profit that wasn't calculated. So you can add $4000 to the profit, as far as I can tell. Maybe it's not on the Loser list after all and Carrington is out of the dog house!
Fernando I can see he's a valued employee, also he's good humor. You wouldn't waste ur money if he wasn't.
Can’t kill it every time guys. Y’all are extremely good at what you do and could’ve done the math before the tear down. I feel this car was worth fixing just because it’s a special car that should’ve been put back on the road. You said it from the get go it kept the lights on , as in it literally paid nothing but the electric bill.
Love the channel and the transparency on the numbers. For every bad deal 2 bad ass deals will follow trust me
I'm not a big ford fan but I think fixing it would've made a little more. But just my opinion

As a life long Mustang owner, I would of liked to see the RTR fixed, that engine is beauty man. I am glad there are some videos coming about a Mustang rebuild. As long as there are curbs and/or heavy object that looks like people, there will be plenty to pick and fix.
Def would have liked to see the RTR repaired and back on the road with as little damage as it had. Been loving the content though, keep up the good work!

I had a guy that I worked with that we called pockets, because he actually was playing pocket pool more than actually working. Obviously Fernando is a hard worker and great to have around the shop. He brings a nice touch to the channel as you all do! Well he mostly brings a nice touch I should say (forklift/ rear quarter panel) comes to mind 😂. Just juking you guys are all awesome and I look forward to your videos.

My friend has a pro charged gen 2 and he blew his first motor cause he still had the stock cats and it was choking the motor out (like as soon as he got it) and he had to go catless….but he now has a built motor in the car with catless headers and runs beautifully

I love this channel. I know you have done several videos from the ole Copart yard. I would love to pickup a charger as a project car. I don’t mind if it was v6 I could just do a swap down the line. What kind of return can you get from the scrap yard for the chassis? They cut roofs and quarters off those thing for major rebuilds. Do you get anything for them?

That red Ford Trophy truck Lee was looking at down in Texas roughly a year ago I think would be a good candidate for that engine. Or a trophy truck in general.

Every time I think I’d like to buy, repair, flip more salvage vehicles, I watch a few of your videos and decide not to. I know that I’d try to fix too many and/or become a parts hoarder. I stick with Jeeps because I can do them quickly and easy I don’t mind keeping several for my hunting ranch. If I pull the trigger on a 911 TS like I want, I’m sure it won’t be so easy. Anyway, thanks for the honest feedback on the business side as it’s certainly entertaining to watch.

I would like to have seen that car rebuilt. $20k purchase and another $10k repair. You said the salvage title sales price would be about $35k but can you not get the car fully titled again? I thought you did that with another car, it has to pass an inspection of some sort. What would it be worth then?

if you say that only 5k repair and you can sell it for 50k, 45k-20k cost= 25k benefit so yeah, you should have repair it.

The Whipple is a great piece. I didn't realize that Mustang only had the Brembo brakes up front. Maybe because I am used to my 2010 CTS-V with 4 Brembo calipers stopping me!
All of the S550 Mustang brakes are Brembos. Even the rears are made by Brembo. They're just not marked. The fronts that were marked are 6 piston Brembos as opposed to the 4 piston regular GT and 6 and 4cyl front calipers that are also Brembos just not marked as Brembos.
I've had 3 S550s not including my girls 15 6 cyl car..Which also had 4 Brembo calipers.

@dshook1989 Brembo manufactures ALL of the brakes made for ALL of the S550s. No they're not marked as Brembos..Infact they're marked fomoco..But, they're manufactured by Brembo. Come back when you've owned one. Just one.
